over a grand for a mattress and pillows felt steep, plus buying a bed online always makes me nervous. The delivery timeline on the site looked sensible but it stretched out and communication was sparse, so I spent more time chasing updates than I expected to. That part still irks me, I’ll be honest. Assembly took longer than the instructions implied and is definitely easier with two people; I fumbled a bit on my own. After the first few weeks I adjusted the two sides — set mine firmer, the other side softer for my partner — and it took a couple of nights to stop noticing the difference, which surprised me. The firmness feels true to description: not a cloud, but not a brick either. Pillows are heavy and supportive, they don’t go flat by morning which is a relief; they’re different from the cheap ones I had before. Daily routine: I read in bed, get up for work, nap on weekends — the bed fits into that, it’s reliable. Scepticism before purchase faded slowly; the nag about delivery remains, yet the sleeping part worked out. Overall I’d say it was a good buy, practical and long-lasting feeling, though the ordering and delivery experience could be much better.
Late delivery and dodgy replies
it looked the part and felt okay, but I never actually had the chance to settle because it didn’t arrive on time. After about two weeks past the expected window I began messaging them; sent a few polite notes over several days and got nothing back. That’s when I asked for cancellation and warned I’d go via PayPal if needed. Eventually a reply arrived from Una saying the parcel was on the way, but it ignored my cancellation request entirely. So I raised a dispute with PayPal and was later told the order had been cancelled and a full refund issued. I believed it, waited five working days and then, predictably, no refund appeared. I escalated the PayPal case. This morning I got a DPD delivery notice instead — and my follow-up emails to the seller wouldn’t send (oddly) which made me think their inboxes might be turned off. In the end I’ll refuse the parcel at the door (I don’t love putting delivery drivers out). The whole back-and-forth felt sloppy and at times misleading — saying a refund has been made when it hasn’t is worrying. Emotion-wise, it’s frustrating more than furious; it’s the principle and the time wasted. If you care about timely delivery and responsive customer service, be cautious with this seller and definitely use a payment method that offers buyer protection.
