    Vehicle rental service

    I recently hired a car and had a really bad time. The customer service was terrible, they didn't reply to my emails or calls for over two months. Their lack of communication and professionalism even led to threats of repossession and police getting involved with the car I rented. It's such a shame to see how this company has gone downhill, especially given their good reputation before. I would highly recommend others steer clear of this service to avoid any similar issues in the future.

    New cool car

    I recently got myself a really cool new car from this place and it was absolutely fantastic! The greatest thing about it was that it arrived right on time and the people who delivered it were really lovely and knew exactly what they were doing. I truly believe that having great service like that is so important, and this place definitely exceeded my expectations.

    I've just used the car rental service and I was really impressed with the customer support I received. The staff were super friendly and sorted out any problems that popped up quickly. They had a great attitude and were happy to help out however they could. I want to give a big shout out to one staff member in particular, who really went above and beyond to sort out a tricky situation that was my fault.

    My first EV

    I absolutely loved my first experience driving an electric vehicle, the Fiat 500e is like the Energizer Bunny but a lot cuter and more environmentally friendly. The person who delivered it was really friendly and told me loads of interesting things about the car. It's incredibly quiet, I could easily sneak up on my friends and give them a good scare! Driving it was so much fun, making the vroom, vroom noise but without any smelly fumes! It's such a cool ride 🚗⚡️

    Car hire experience

    I was really disappointed with the car hire service I used recently. I had the car for quite a while and when I returned it, I thought the wear and tear was just normal. But then I got hit with a bill for £1400 for damages that I thought were minor and could have been sorted easily. I definitely wouldn't suggest using this service.

    Electric car lease

    I recently got an electric car lease and I have to say, it's been a nightmare dealing with this company. I've had so many problems and the customer service is just awful. Whenever there's an issue, the management doesn't seem to care much about fixing it. On top of that, the terms of the lease keep changing, making me feel like I'm stuck in a contract I can't get out of. I really can't emphasise enough how crucial it is to stay away from this company and look for a more trustworthy option for your leasing requirements.

    I was really chuffed when I finally managed to rent a car after waiting for ages. The car was pretty good when they handed it over to me, just a couple of scratches on the wheel that weren't too bad. I do wish they had explained what "wear & tear" meant before I gave it back though.

    Renault Zoe

    If your car breaks down, you might as well cancel, because you're not driving a car anymore.

    My car broke down (electrical system failure on an EV: will not start, nothing works) 17 days ago (it's still broke down).

    Over two weeks of my life has been spent on the phone with Onto and their infinite number of teams and partners to get it recovered and repaired. Every call is about 4-5 transfers so that I get the privilage of repeating myself again and again (PER CALL). Nobody seems to know what happened from the last call, what's going on, what's happening next, or a timeline on anything.

    I've had 4-5 scheduled callouts, each during specific timeframes on a specific days, but no one has yet to show up for any of these. I've had to put my life on hold and stay at home, waiting for the scheduled person to come and have them not show up.

    A courtesy car is only given once the car is picked up - which seems like a timeline of 2025 by now. And rather than give me a replacement car, I'm getting the run around on still waiting for a repair - again, maybe sometime in 2025.

    I've never experienced such incompetence in resolving a matter in my life. To this date, I have no idea when I'll ever get to use a car again.

    Onto is great as long as you don't encounter any issues with your car or need their customer service.

    Awful experience overall, chose a car to hire for a date 2 weeks in the future - they took payment instantly
    Was told 2 days prior to that date, that the car I chose wasn't available for a further 10 days and that a different colour slightly less spec car was currently available. I said I would only accept that car on the basis that if the car I ordered became available, they would swap it or give me a reduction in price.
    When they did swap the car 2 weeks later. They have double charged me for both cars. Then when I returned the car, they still a month later want to charge me for excess mileage on the first car i had (for the 2 weeks someone else had been driving it as i returned it) and then to charge me extra mileage on the 2nd car. Overall I would say I've spent upwards of 25 hours to sort this out and only 1 out of 15 advisers helped. Now as we speak it is still a pending resolution. Onto unfortunately are fast & good at taking money and pretty slow and poor at everything else

    I give them 4 stars. I will explain my experience with them for the last 3 months step-by-step. I will write the bad things in the bottom. First thing you need to do is use a reference code for £50 off - db586
    If you are already registered you can make a new registration with a new email to get the £50 off. Don't forget to share your reference code to receive the £50 again.
    ONTO is the ideal way to drive a new car without the initial investment. I haven't received any calls from them, I drive my car daily with no issue and I'm very happy with them. Charging your car is free for 1000 miles per month. ONTO have missed to mention the companies that you can charge with for free. These companies are; SHELL, BP, INSTAVOLT. You can download an application from the internet to see when it is available to charge your car. If anyone requires any information about PEUGEOT E 2008 can message me personally as it has some software issues and I work with IT. I am overall happy with them but I'm only giving them 4 out of 5 stars.
    The bad points,
    I had momentarily stopped at a bike lane and I got stopped by police for allegedly not having insurance and it took them over 40 minutes to find my insurance. One of my tyres was punctured and I called them and they told me they would be able to change the punctured tyre 2 working days later at the soonest, and I had to pay for a second-hand tyre out of my own pocket as a temporary replacement. This didn't sit well with me as I am paying for this car regularly and I would have had to miss 3 days off work. People without any technical knowledge ask technical questions from customer service.
    In conclusion, I still recommend them to anyone.

    Renault Zoe GT LINE

    Initially we were a little nervous to swap from gas guzzlers to electric, but the whole Onto experience has made it hassle free and very smooth indeed. We love the fact that we are only tied into a month by month contract, the sign up process was easy with no long credit checks and a big wow to the no deposit policy. Insurance and maintenance is all included as well.

    We went for the Renault Zoe GT and the GT is definitely worth paying the extra £10 for, the acceleration is amazing plus the car has tinted windows, better alloys and lots of added extras.

    Charging has been relatively easy, you get given all included pre-paid charging station cards for a whole host of companies and location's. We charge ours at our local McDonald's which takes around 40 minutes from a quarter to full charge.

    We are definitely hooked into Electric cars now and we are saving a fortune on petrol and happy to be doing our bit for the Planet too. Definitely would recommend Onto as a company, the phone lines are often busy but they normally answer emails quite swiftly. A great way to sample the way we will all be driving in the future, if you use this referral code b3511 when you register on their site you will get £50 off your first rental. Good luck!

    Peugeot e208/ ZOE

    I've been using Onto for over a year now (with a break of three months in the middle). I've tried both the Zoe and e-208 and would recommend either! Affordable, comfortable to drive and environmentally friendly... Onto offers a great opportunity to get a feel of what living with an EV is really like. Sure, charging takes a bit of planning when you are doing a long road trip, but once you get the hang of it you won't want to go back to an ICE car! I've found Onto customer service to be excellent and, considering the recent fuel shortages, have no plans to cancel.     Hyundai Ioniq Electric

    I had not considered an electric car until I saw the onto advert pop up in my social media. I had looked at some lease deals for diesel cars but did not want to take a long term lease deal. Onto appealed to be because it was a monthly arrangement and I could return the car easily. I was attracted by the all inclusive deal including charging. No other bills! I chose the Hyundai Ioniq, (I'm a fan of Hyundai's reliability) and signed up. The process was as easy as they said it was. Just a photo of you and your driving licence and some basic details and your done. I chose the delivery date and the car arrived on time and with good communication on the day. I've done several thousand miles now and have found onto brilliant. You get account cards for the major charging networks, BP, Instavolt and Shell , I've had no issue finding chargers, I use an app to locate them and some longer journeys do need a bit of planning to know where you will charge up. I've done journeys of several hundred miles with no issues. the onto app is used to track your mileage used, open and lock the car etc but you also get the key to the car. Customer service has been brilliant. I can highly recommend onto and electric driving. I got £50 off my first month using a referral code. If you use mine you can get £50 off yours too .     Renault Zoe ZE50 Iconic R135

     was highly skeptical of this new way of driving, but I thought that if I don't try it I'll never know! There really is little adjustment other than the charging.

    I have been very impressed with the service received from Onto. The car was delivered as planned and they've responded to my calls and emails promptly. I opted for the Renault Zoe ZE50 Iconic R135 and it's wonderful to drive; quiet, smooth and automatic! It lasts about 190 miles before I have to recharge.

    Pin-pointing the charging points (the free ones that come with membership) in my area was a little tricky, but once I figured out where a couple of them were, it was fine. Charging points don't come in abundance like petrol stations so you might find that a charging point is already in use and you have to wait. This happened to me once, I then went to the next available one in my area and it wasn't working. This, along with the time it takes to charge (around 80 mins for a full charge from 20% remaining battery) are the only things which I find a little inconvenient, hence my 4 stars, but I'm getting used to it. I've had it 2 weeks and have charged it once a week (how often you charge will depend on how much driving you do).

    I have been using OnTo for around 6 months having had my e208 delivered in November.

    I wholeheartedly recommend them!

    The time from signing up for their service to delivery of the car was around 2 weeks. This was for a brand new car in the colour I wanted too.

    Originally I intended to keep the car for a month to see if I got on with an electric car and if so then order the same car through PCH or PCP. However, when you work out the figures (insurance, deposit, servicing, etc) Onto is actually a cost effective alternative to the traditional methods.

    It was easy to get my car booked in for it's first service via customer support and little issues such as a missing granny charger were quickly sorted in the week after the car was delivered.
