    Peugeot E 2008

    I give them 4 stars. I will explain my experience with them for the last 3 months step-by-step. I will write the bad things in the bottom. First thing you need to do is use a reference code for £50 off - db586
    If you are already registered you can make a new registration with a new email to get the £50 off. Don't forget to share your reference code to receive the £50 again.
    ONTO is the ideal way to drive a new car without the initial investment. I haven't received any calls from them, I drive my car daily with no issue and I'm very happy with them. Charging your car is free for 1000 miles per month. ONTO have missed to mention the companies that you can charge with for free. These companies are; SHELL, BP, INSTAVOLT. You can download an application from the internet to see when it is available to charge your car. If anyone requires any information about PEUGEOT E 2008 can message me personally as it has some software issues and I work with IT. I am overall happy with them but I'm only giving them 4 out of 5 stars.
    The bad points,
    I had momentarily stopped at a bike lane and I got stopped by police for allegedly not having insurance and it took them over 40 minutes to find my insurance. One of my tyres was punctured and I called them and they told me they would be able to change the punctured tyre 2 working days later at the soonest, and I had to pay for a second-hand tyre out of my own pocket as a temporary replacement. This didn't sit well with me as I am paying for this car regularly and I would have had to miss 3 days off work. People without any technical knowledge ask technical questions from customer service.
    In conclusion, I still recommend them to anyone.

    Renault Zoe ZE50 Iconic R135

     was highly skeptical of this new way of driving, but I thought that if I don't try it I'll never know! There really is little adjustment other than the charging.

    I have been very impressed with the service received from Onto. The car was delivered as planned and they've responded to my calls and emails promptly. I opted for the Renault Zoe ZE50 Iconic R135 and it's wonderful to drive; quiet, smooth and automatic! It lasts about 190 miles before I have to recharge.

    Pin-pointing the charging points (the free ones that come with membership) in my area was a little tricky, but once I figured out where a couple of them were, it was fine. Charging points don't come in abundance like petrol stations so you might find that a charging point is already in use and you have to wait. This happened to me once, I then went to the next available one in my area and it wasn't working. This, along with the time it takes to charge (around 80 mins for a full charge from 20% remaining battery) are the only things which I find a little inconvenient, hence my 4 stars, but I'm getting used to it. I've had it 2 weeks and have charged it once a week (how often you charge will depend on how much driving you do).

    Overall, I'm very happy with Onto experience and will be continuing my subscription. If you want £50 off your new subscription then feel free to use my referral code, it really does work, I did it on my first subscription: 35c4c.

    Hyundai Ioniq Electric

    I had not considered an electric car until I saw the onto advert pop up in my social media. I had looked at some lease deals for diesel cars but did not want to take a long term lease deal. Onto appealed to be because it was a monthly arrangement and I could return the car easily. I was attracted by the all inclusive deal including charging. No other bills! I chose the Hyundai Ioniq, (I'm a fan of Hyundai's reliability) and signed up. The process was as easy as they said it was. Just a photo of you and your driving licence and some basic details and your done. I chose the delivery date and the car arrived on time and with good communication on the day. I've done several thousand miles now and have found onto brilliant. You get account cards for the major charging networks, BP, Instavolt and Shell , I've had no issue finding chargers, I use an app to locate them and some longer journeys do need a bit of planning to know where you will charge up. I've done journeys of several hundred miles with no issues. the onto app is used to track your mileage used, open and lock the car etc but you also get the key to the car. Customer service has been brilliant. I can highly recommend onto and electric driving. I got £50 off my first month using a referral code. If you use mine you can get £50 off yours too .     Renault Zoe GT LINE

    Initially we were a little nervous to swap from gas guzzlers to electric, but the whole Onto experience has made it hassle free and very smooth indeed. We love the fact that we are only tied into a month by month contract, the sign up process was easy with no long credit checks and a big wow to the no deposit policy. Insurance and maintenance is all included as well.

    We went for the Renault Zoe GT and the GT is definitely worth paying the extra £10 for, the acceleration is amazing plus the car has tinted windows, better alloys and lots of added extras.

    Charging has been relatively easy, you get given all included pre-paid charging station cards for a whole host of companies and location's. We charge ours at our local McDonald's which takes around 40 minutes from a quarter to full charge.

    We are definitely hooked into Electric cars now and we are saving a fortune on petrol and happy to be doing our bit for the Planet too. Definitely would recommend Onto as a company, the phone lines are often busy but they normally answer emails quite swiftly.     It's really important to be careful when thinking about using this company for hiring a car. They have a reputation for exploiting customers when they bring back the vehicle, charging high fees for damages that are just part of the wear and tear you'd expect from normal use. Also, trying to book a service with them is a nightmare – they might not turn up at all or cancel at the last minute, leaving you feeling annoyed and stuck. And don't even get me started on the sneaky admin fees they add on whenever they send you a letter, which soon mount up to an unreasonable sum.

    My recent car rental experience

    My recent experience renting a car was an absolute disaster. The people I spoke to on the phone seemed like they were just reading from a script and didn't really help me with my specific problem. I need my car for work and going to different places, so when it wouldn't lock, I was really worried about my safety. I asked for a repair appointment and a temporary car, but they said they couldn't do anything for weeks. I even said my car could get stolen, but all they offered was to pay for my bus fare. That was ridiculous because I can't use public transport for my work in the countryside. It took a long time and lots of phone calls before a manager finally agreed to give me another car. But then it was really confusing trying to decide between the new car and my old one. They kept changing what they said about fees and when the car would arrive, which made everything even more confusing and frustrating. The company's emails were no help either, they were all just the same and didn't really address my concerns.

    Recommend alternative to PCP or PCH

    I have been using OnTo for around 6 months having had my e208 delivered in November.

    I wholeheartedly recommend them!

    The time from signing up for their service to delivery of the car was around 2 weeks. This was for a brand new car in the colour I wanted too.

    Originally I intended to keep the car for a month to see if I got on with an electric car and if so then order the same car through PCH or PCP. However, when you work out the figures (insurance, deposit, servicing, etc) Onto is actually a cost effective alternative to the traditional methods.

    It was easy to get my car booked in for it's first service via customer support and little issues such as a missing granny charger were quickly sorted in the week after the car was delivered.

    Peugeot e208/ ZOE

    I've been using Onto for over a year now (with a break of three months in the middle). I've tried both the Zoe and e-208 and would recommend either! Affordable, comfortable to drive and environmentally friendly... Onto offers a great opportunity to get a feel of what living with an EV is really like. Sure, charging takes a bit of planning when you are doing a long road trip, but once you get the hang of it you won't want to go back to an ICE car! I've found Onto customer service to be excellent and, considering the recent fuel shortages, have no plans to cancel.     Convenient car maintenance and switching service

    I've been using the car maintenance and switching service from this company for the past year, and I have to say it's been a fantastic experience. I love how easy it is to get routine work done on my car, with them coming to me at work or at home, so I don't have to worry about arranging courtesy cars. Changing cars has been so smooth, with no issues at all, and their delivery drivers are always really polite and thoughtful.     Car rental nightmare

    I had a nightmare experience with my car rental from this company recently. My car conked out towards the end of February and I was left without a car until the end of March, with no replacement or courtesy car given. It was such a hassle - I had to spend countless hours on the phone and make a formal complaint just to get a resolution, which only came in the form of a refund for my monthly rental. This caused a lot of inconvenience and extra costs for my travel needs. And to top it off, when the car was finally fixed, it turned out that the company's tracker was draining the battery because it was plugged in wrongly. This led to another 2 hours of arguments and threats of legal action before I finally got my car back. Dealing with this company has been incredibly stressful and frustrating.

    Subscription car for 5 months

    I had this really cool subscription car for 5 months while I was waiting for my new car to arrive from somewhere else. But then, to my surprise, my new car turned up earlier than expected!     I've been using the car rental service for a long time, but I've had a few instances where Onto didn't meet my expectations. Whenever there were issues, they just seemed to make them worse, causing a lot of inconvenience and frustration. The last straw was when they disabled my charging card, leaving me stuck and affecting my work. Despite trying to blame Shell recharge, it was clear that Onto was in the wrong. This sort of thing isn't rare, as other customers online have shared similar stories. When I decided to return the car because of all these problems, Onto didn't pick it up promptly and later tried to charge me for damage that wasn't there. On top of that, they added an undisclosed Collection Fee, which was an unexpected cost. All in all, my experience with Onto has been letdown and I'd suggest others to be cautious of their practices.

    Account issue resolution by excellent agent

    I had some problems with my subscription account recently, which resulted in a lot of annoying phone calls and emails to customer service. However, I was eventually contacted by a fantastic agent called Amy, and she managed to sort everything out for me. I was really impressed by how well she understood my issue and even had a bit of a laugh with me, which made the whole situation much better. I am very grateful for Amy's quick and professional handling of my concerns.
