my account got locked after I bought some in-game stuff — been stuck for over two months. Customer support asked for documents, I sent them all, and then silence. It still plays nicely, and I'm actually glad it's not totally rubbish, but support has been really frustrating.
Late-night win
I was on the late-night commute, half asleep, just wanted something to switch off to — after a couple of naff games I tried this one. At first I wasn't sure, but the moment I actually pulled together a decent hero team without splashing cash and won a couple of tight matches is when I knew it had paid off. It wasn't perfect — updates can be messy and there's a bit of a learning curve — but I'm properly pleased it worked for me. It's been a steady, enjoyable distraction and I'm grateful I stuck with it.
Looks busy, feels empty
new servers pop up all the time to make things look busy, yet you often find the same handful of players and loads of cloned accounts. I’ve checked my bank more than once; be careful if you start spending.
Nearly didn’t install, glad I did
fewer game-breaking glitches, events feel a bit fairer and you can actually progress without emptying your wallet. Still, it’s not perfect — some bits are clearly designed to nudge you towards spending, and every so often something clunks or an update changes the rules on you. Customer support took a couple of nudges but did reply and sorted one refund issue, which surprised me in a good way. I do miss the days when updates felt less cash-first, but the devs seem to be listening more now, or at least tweaking things based on player feedback. If you’re like me and you worried about getting sucked into pay-to-win stuff, try the free route for a week and don’t buy the shiny starter packs straight away — you’ll get a feel for whether it’s worth it. All in all, I went in doubtful and left actually enjoying my evening play; still a couple of grumbles, but mostly pleased.
Unexpectedly okay after a long run
Was on the bus when an ad popped up and I downloaded it on a whim. I was sceptical from the start — felt like everything nudged you to spend — and for a long time I kept thinking 'nope, this is pay-to-win rubbish'. I played a few months, tipped my mate to try it as a laugh, then kept going. The moment I properly accepted it was when a free event actually let me finish an upgrade I'd been grinding ages for; slow, yes, but satisfying. I stopped spending for a stretch and still found reasons to log in, which surprised me. So I'm not glowing, just... quietly pleased it worked out. If you're picky about fairness, maybe not, but there was a point I felt content. I'd recommend it to a mate, with a clear warning about the slow grind.
