About The Producers
The Producers is a musical theatre production by Mel Brooks, based on his 1967 film of the same name. The stage version, with book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan and music and lyrics by Brooks, premiered on Broadway in 2001. It follows two theatrical producers who attempt to profit from a deliberately unsuccessful show. The work has been staged for theatre audiences internationally, including West End and touring productions.
