    Pleasantly surprised

    I was unsure at first — it looked great online but I balked at the price. Took it home for the kitchen and the dog hair mission. First clean was a bit meh, but after a couple more runs it really woke up. It picks up what my old Bissell missed. Small quirk with the cord, but overall I’m glad I bought it.

    I placed an order and a month later there was nothing — no shipping update, no tracking. Phone calls either timed out or got cut and emails just sat unread. I’d had quicker replies from smaller shops, so I was sceptical. After threatening to escalate and doing a chargeback things finally moved and they sorted it, not great but delivered in the end.

    Hot, slow and a bit of a faff

    Halfway through the morning I noticed my hair felt scratchy and brittle after a couple of uses of this hairdryer — it was too hot even on the lowest setting. I bought it because my usual dryer died and I have a sensitive scalp, so I needed something gentler. I returned it and was promised a refund in a week, but it dragged on. After several calls they processed my refund, so I'm relieved though fed up.

    Black Friday letdown

    Not impressed — they took my money and I still haven't got the vacuum. I ordered on Black Friday, but the site said they wouldn't charge until it was shipped and yet my card shows the full amount plus a £1 fee. They generated a shipping label but nothing left the warehouse, and it's been weeks now. Customer service keeps saying 'wait 15 business days' with no tracking. It's frustrating and a bit sloppy; I wish they'd be honest or refund sooner. If you're tempted, ask for proof of shipment first.

    Opened the box and honestly felt a bit let down. Delivery was fine and arrived on time, but the machine is a disappointment — only two modes, carpet or hard floor, and no suction control so light rugs are a pain.     Good results, awkward to move

    Honestly, I’d say it’s a keeper, even if it’s not perfect. It’s dead easy to use and actually does what it promises — got rid of a stubborn tea stain that other cleaners (and a couple of hire machines) couldn't shift. The trick is cleaning a patch then immediately flipping to the 'dry only' setting; switching is just a button press. Carpets genuinely look fresher, almost like new. Downsides? It’s built like a tank, very sturdy but proper heavy, so you’ll grudge lugging it upstairs. Overall, mild but genuine thumbs up.

    Finally fixed after a bit of a slog

    I was halfway putting the thing back together when the motor suddenly kicked in — that’s the exact moment I relaxed and thought, okay, job done. I’d ordered a warranty replacement; first box missed a few parts so I rang them and the missing bits arrived quickly. After assembling there was a problem with the motor, and the first couple of reps were reluctant to do a video check which was annoying. I kept pushing, asked for escalation, and eventually someone agreed to a proper diagnosis and sorted it. Happy in the end, just be persistent.

    Overall, I wouldn't bother. Bought it to save time and instead spent half a day faffing about. The gadget couldn't do a straight job — it wandered, docked itself like it had a mind of its own, and repeated the performance. Call centre couldn't help, their system seemed to be as useful as a chocolate teapot, so I had to drive to the shop to sort it out. Oddly, the bloke in the store was really helpful and polite, which was the only bright spot. I've returned things before with far less fuss at other shops, so this felt like unnecessary drama.     Tea, then trouble

    Bought it after a spill in March and fancied a quick fix; mistake. The machine feels solid but awkward in the hand, fiddly bits everywhere. They insist on their cleaning solution and the water tank is tiny — about 40 oz — yet the 'dirty' tank looks full when the clean one is only half done, so you can't just go over the same patch to pick up more. Suction seems impossible to control, my carpet ended up proper soaked, like, soaked. Spent more time learning settings and guessing error codes than cleaning; two blinking lights? No idea, the manual is vague. I'm sending it back — properly disappointed, really, and a bit annoyed and a bit sad.

    when I could actually detach the lift-away unit and it still had the pet tool and the suction was what I expected. Small things are still a tad scrappy, but it works.     Not a drama, but not great either

    after a couple of repeats and a polite but firm nudge from me about the warranty, a supervisor finally decided the unit was genuinely faulty and authorised a replacement. I hadn’t expected that — not after the slog — so there was a small surprise there. It wasn’t celebratory, just a quiet relief; I felt properly listened to for the first time. What I liked was that the replacement process, once approved, was straightforward and quicker than the troubleshooting had been. What I didn’t like is the hoop-jumping to get there and the feeling that returns are the last resort, not the default for obvious faults. Overall I’m satisfied now because the problem was fixed without me having to buy another unit, and the replacement works well — which is what I needed. Still, the experience knocked a bit off my faith in their support if something else goes wrong. Friendly enough in the end, but could be a lot more efficient up front.

    NZ801 UKT upright vacuum floor nozzle

    I recently bought the NZ801 UKT upright vacuum floor nozzle in November 2020. Unfortunately, the brushes on the floor nozzle stopped working, which made it tricky to use and meant it wasn't picking up dirt well. At first, I was really disappointed and thought I'd need to buy a new floor nozzle. But then I remembered that the product had a 5-year guarantee. I got in touch with customer service, expecting it to be a hassle, but I was actually really impressed with how helpful and efficient the representatives were. They quickly sent me a replacement floor nozzle at no extra cost after a short chat and verification process. Even though they said it might take up to 5 working days to arrive, it got to me in just 2 days. I was so happy with how fast they sorted everything out.
