Been trying and failing to use a gift voucher on this site for over a year. The website is literally useless, the search functionality is only designed to show you what they want you to see. You can't for example, search for all spa hotels available in the UK. You have to go through by city. I contacted hotelgift about this and they didn't care.
If by some miracle you do find something you want to book, it will fail and you will be informed that the amount needed to top up your purchase above the amount on your gift card has been retained by hotelgift for use on future purchases. Surely this is illegal? In what circumstance is it ok for a purchase to fail and the company to take money from your credit card so you are forced to use them again?
