Meindle hiking boots online
All went well until two weeks after purchase when a left boot leaked . When I contacted the Green Welly to resolve I was basically told to chase it up myself . Despite the boots being not fit for purpose, no refund or replacement was offered . I was told to send them back direct to Meindle . Due to wear and tear it wasn’t there problem.
After 2 week Meindle admitted they was faulty and issued me with a new pair but they sent the wrong size 🤦♀️
Green welly said they hadn’t got my size in store then offered me a full refund , but then went back on there word 3 days later and said they would need to claim the refund off Meindle first . After many frustrating emails !I was getting nowhere so ! I rang Meindle myself . They agreed with myself that the Green welly hadn’t dealt with this properly. I shouldn’t have been the one chasing them up , they should have dealt with it themselves on my behalf . They didn’t follow consumer rights . My boots wasn’t fit for purpose and they should warrant them for 12months . Terrible customer service. My advise ! Check there warranty policies! Especially if spending over £200 on hiking boots 🤦♀️
The only compensation for a ruined hiking trip and hassle I endured was a refund for the cost of having to send the boots back to Meindle .
