Saw the promo on Instagram and nudged a mate; ordering was a bit of a faff so I rang customer services, but they sorted it and delivery was spot on, bouquet looked elegant
Small proper wow
Placed them on my kitchen table with a mug, and that’s when I knew — they looked and smelled properly fresh. Packed tightly, felt posh. Box protected them well. Bit pricey, but worth it for the lift.
Pretty for a day
within a day loads had fully opened, petals floppy, and I ended up binning several. Bit disappointing, really.
100 “Luxury” roses
Genuinely stunned at the incompetence of this company.
I ordered 100 “luxury” red roses on 06/01. Upon purchasing them, I noticed on the email confirmation that it stated the order was for 50 roses, despite paying £126 for 100 roses.
I emailed the team before the delivery to remind them to ensure that I had ordered and paid for 100 roses and not 50. They responded to me the following day assuring me it was just an error and that 100 roses would be delivered.
Fast forward to the roses being delivered, shock horror, it was only 50 roses and if I could upload pictures here I would because the quality was well below par with some of the roses already being dead!
After alerting them of this mistake and poor quality, the customer service team were useless.
They asked for a picture of the roses (completely understandable) but upon sending them a picture, they responded that since the roses are not in the original wrapping, they cannot offer any refund or even a replacement of the product!
They were gracious enough to offer me 50% in store credit… for a store which just provided me with the worst product and service imaginable, I am honestly stunned.
I have suggested to them that they take pictures of every delivery just before it’s sent out or delivered to ensure that this sort of issue doesn’t happen, as they clearly need the advice.
Bottom line, awful product, awful service, stay away.Hamper habit from abroad
There I was, in Canada, ordering the same hamper for Mum and Nan like clockwork — feels odd but comforting. The parcels arrive well packed, everything still smells proper and homely, and it’s become our little yearly ritual, honestly.
Not what I expected
I hesitated ordering because I worried about sending flowers to my 90‑year‑old mum — worried they'd arrive scrappy. They did arrive dead, sadly, so my doubts were sadly right. After a stressful 40‑mile trip to photograph them for the company (she uses a film camera, genuine), they apologised and refunded. Not ideal, but grateful it ended better than it could have, overall.
Where's the hamper?
By mid-morning on Christmas Day I realised Dad's hamper still wasn't under the tree, so gutting. Tracking insisted it had been delivered, we checked neighbours, nothing. I ordered it weeks earlier and was excited about the idea, so the silence from Appleyard after contacting their '100% happiness' promise is frustrating. First impressions were good, but the delivery and lack of reply let it down.
Lobby find, mixed results
Picked it up from the block's lobby — box had been knocking about for hours. No padding round the stems, lilies squashed against the cardboard and already browning, roses a bit floppy with loose petals. A mate had tipped me to try them so I was sceptical, but after a trim and a quick rearrange a few stems looked alright. Not brilliant, but usable.
Late delivery, poor value
roses still alright but the blue blooms had shed most petals and looked tired. Paid full price, only offered a £10 credit which felt token. Not sure I'd trust them again; wouldn't pay full price next time.
Surprisingly decent, actually
Saw them on Instagram first, tbh I wasn't sure, but glad I did. Delivery arrived on time — actually earlier — and the driver was polite. Packaging was simple, not flashy, but flowers were fresh and lasted ages (no joke). Contacted customer service with a small query and they sorted it straight away, which surprised me and felt reassured. I even told my mum and a mate about them. Proper pleased, would use again.
Mixed luck
I ordered a mixed bunch as a birthday gift because I’ve had poor luck with other florists lately. They arrived looking gorgeous and smelt right, but within a few days the stems went floppy and the petals browned despite following care tips to the letter. I contacted Appleyard and they sorted a replacement quickly, which eased things — nice customer care, though initially disappointing. Would buy again, but I'll watch them closely next time.
The doorbell and a short-lived smile
I was making tea when the flowers arrived for Mother’s Day, so that bit went fine. I did hesitate before ordering — online photos can be optimistic and I worry about bouquets not lasting — and sadly that worry was mostly justified. They looked decent for a couple of days, then started dropping petals and looking tired. Delivery was on time and packaging OK, but the care notes were vague, which didn’t help. I’m glad I sent them for the occasion, but I expected better longevity. Worth the convenience, not the lasting impression.
Small surprise, big result
polished, reliable — pleased it landed exactly as I hoped. Would definitely use them again.
Surprise saved at the last minute
put the recipient's phone on the order, makes follow-up easier. All in all pleased, wouldn't hesitate to use again.
A bit of a faff, but it worked
I ordered a hamper for my mum's 70th because I couldn’t travel (dodgy back and all that), picked a named delivery date and thought job done. Except Appleyard somehow didn't take my email, so I had zero tracking and no clue where it was. I rang them and was told the 'named day' could slip by two days — helpful, not — and they couldn't give tracking. I asked for a refund, and suddenly a tracking reference appeared, though annoyingly it showed no delivery address so I still wasn't sure it went to the right place. Then the moment — my mum phoned, very pleased, all smiles, which is when I relaxed and realised the contents actually hit the spot. Not slick, bit messy, and a bit pricey, but it did what I needed in the end.
Peony subscription
I've got this peony subscription that turns up every Wednesday. The flowers are huge and my partner really adores them! They usually manage to stay looking good for the full five days. The quality is fantastic and I'm really pleased with what I get.

When I had a problem and needed to get in touch with customer service, I spoke to a lovely lady named Kirstie. She was really helpful and sorted out my issue quickly. It's nice to have such efficient and friendly service.
Flowers for mum
I ordered some flowers for my mum's birthday, they were meant to arrive on time, but were a bit late. Feeling worried, I decided to contact their online chat customer service. I spoke with a lovely lady named Kirstie who explained everything and resolved the issue promptly. I felt relieved and grateful for her assistance. The flowers eventually arrived just in time for my mum's birthday and she absolutely loved them!
Birthday plant gift
I bought a really nice plant for my aunt's birthday. She lives in a houseboat in London, so it can be tricky for delivery folks to find her. But Max, the delivery guy, sorted it all out super fast and got another plant to her. And she was thrilled with it! Big thanks to Max and the flower shop!
Flower arrangement
I just wanted to share that I recently ordered a beautiful flower arrangement from this place and I was so impressed by how great the flowers looked. They were opening up so nicely and were delivered right on time without any damage. The presentation was really elegant and well put together. I'm definitely thinking of ordering from them again in the future.
Flowers
I recently ordered some flowers from this company and I was absolutely amazed by the fantastic service and the flowers themselves were just stunning. I've tried other online companies before, but none of them can beat the quality and freshness of the flowers I received this time. The customer service is always excellent and the delivery is always right on schedule. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants beautiful flowers and great service.
