Be careful when using this platform for hotel bookings, guys! I tried booking a hotel in London but my payment was declined because of a "High Risk" payee situation. I had to book somewhere else at a higher price. Turns out, the second choice was a scam! The whole ordering process was a nightmare, the service was not great, the prices were way too high, and in the end, the hotel I booked never materialised. Stick to reliable sources and avoid this dodgy business at all costs.
Misleading listing
I've had enough of these affiliate listings that make false claims. It's ridiculous to see a closed pub advertised for breakfast and leather armchairs. This has got to stop.
Overpriced accommodation
The price for a basic room with only a bed was way too high at £115 for just one night. It's ridiculous to ask for over a hundred quid for a simple overnight stay. It's disappointing that they don't seem to grasp fair pricing during a time when hospitality businesses should be more thoughtful. The demands for this kind of pricing are just too much, especially given the current situation.
Disappointed with Trivago
I used to swear by Trivago for getting the best hotel deals, but now I'm not so sure. I booked a room through Roomdi, a site they recommended, and it was a total disaster. There was no way to contact Roomdi after booking - their phone number was useless, and they didn't even have an email address! All I received was a message saying they were working on my booking, which left me feeling completely lost. When I tried reaching out to Trivago for help, all they did was direct me to X and Facebook - what a joke! They didn't even bother giving me Roomdi's email address! It took ages for Roomdi to finally reply, and even then, they couldn't get Roomdi to respond. It was a real mess. Trivago really let me down this time, so I won't be using them again.
Sunday lunch at a pub in Llanelli
I had a lovely Sunday lunch at a delightful pub in Llanelli recently, which has become a favourite spot for me and my friends. The menu has some really tasty meats like beef, pork, and turkey, all cooked perfectly. The vegetables are always delicious and served nice and hot, which makes the whole dining experience even better. The staff, especially Holly, are really friendly and attentive, which adds to the enjoyment of the visit.
Accommodation at Inishowen Gateway Hotel
The Inishowen Gateway Hotel has been my favourite place to stay for nearly 25 years now, and it always manages to leave a lasting impression on me. The rooms are roomy and cosy, the food is top-notch with plenty of options for everyone, and the staff really know how to go the extra mile to make sure your stay is unforgettable. I want to give a big shoutout to Gemma, Sandra, Tiffany, and the two Sharons for their exceptional service.
