Cancellation charge issue
I cancelled my booking way ahead of time, but they still charged me even though they said I could cancel for free. I showed them proof of the mistake and tried contacting customer service, but all I got were automated replies and no solution. Dealing with the company's lack of responsibility and honesty was really frustrating and disappointing. I've decided not to use their service again.
Misleading house description
I only just discovered that there were some issues with how things were presented, the customer service wasn't great, they didn't follow up with anything, all in all the holiday experience was a let down.
Trouble with confirmation emails
I had a terrible time trying to get a confirmation email. I kept sending emails but didn't hear back. Finally, when I managed to get a contact number, they asked for a confirmation number that I didn't even have. It was really annoying!
Easy booking, Apple Pay!
The booking process was a breeze! I even managed to use Apple Pay, which was really handy. I really liked being able to compare room photos and details on the app before deciding on the perfect room.
Non-refundable booking issue
I can't believe it, mate. This company is still up and running. I booked a hotel in Vancouver and they went ahead and charged me even though the property cancelled the booking. It's been 2 weeks now and still no refund. To top it off, Booking.com asked me for proof of payment today. Totally not cool, if you ask me.
Booking a holiday with my dog
Last week, my family and I booked a holiday with our dog using a website. We specifically chose the 'dog-friendly' option, but when we got to our destination on Monday, we were informed that pets were not permitted in the accommodation we had reserved. We got in touch with the website straight away, but unfortunately, they weren't very helpful. We ended up having to pay for a place we couldn't stay in and find alternative accommodation. It was really annoying and disheartening. I believe it's unacceptable that Booking.com made this error and caused us unnecessary expenses and trouble.
Travel reservation confusion

The worst part is that the reservation can't be refunded, which is really frustrating. I've tried talking to the hotel about changing the dates, but they haven't been helpful at all. I've always been able to find the answers I need on this website. It's really easy to use. The ratings I've seen have actually matched up with what the accommodation is really like.
Family reunion disaster
When we got to the house I booked for our family reunion, no one was there! It was a nightmare - stranded in a new city with nowhere to stay. We had to get dressed in a car park before heading to a concert, and ended up missing most of the show. To top it off, we were then led to a dreadful alternative place to stay and charged a ridiculous £440!
Easy to navigate app
Push notifications can sometimes be a bit too much, you know? It would be really helpful if we could personalise them a bit more and only get the ones we really need. I've noticed that the info about cancellation policies could be clearer in some cases. Adding more detail on that would make things smoother for users.
Resolution of last-minute cancellation
I had a last-minute cancellation from a place in Rome on the same day I was meant to arrive, which was really disappointing. I had to find a different place to stay quickly. Thankfully, Booking managed to find me another option with similar features and refunded me the price difference. I was really happy with how efficiently they sorted out the situation.
Hotel booking for June holiday
I reserved a hotel for my June holiday in April using the platform. Just my luck, the day before my trip, I got a message saying the room I booked wasn't available anymore. They offered me a worse option, and I had no choice but to take it since it was so last minute. I tried calling customer service, but waited for 15 minutes with no answer. So, I messaged them instead, but the response I got wasn't helpful at all. I replied to their message, but it's been two days and still no response. Overall, my experience was pretty disappointing, and I won't be using this platform again.
Flight invoice request
I always find it such a pain when I have to ask for a basic invoice for a flight booking for my staff. It's such a faff, needing loads of calls and emails going back and forth. Honestly, it's a nightmare every time. If I were you, I'd just buy from places like gotogate.com or mytrip.com - they let you pop in your business details and get the invoice sorted out straight away, no bother.
Appointment disaster
This company is absolutely terrible! They don't care about their customers at all and just keep transferring them to another company. And don't get me started on the staff, they can hardly speak English. The experience with Turkish Airlines was awful too. They wanted to charge a crazy amount for a last-minute flight after someone needed to go to hospital.
Refund issue
I had a really bad experience trying to book a hotel that cost me a huge £2,400 and now I'm still waiting for a refund. It was a nightmare situation when the hotel suddenly cancelled my booking on the day I was meant to check in, leaving me in a panic to find somewhere else to stay in New York. Finally speaking to customer service, they said I would get a full refund plus the difference for the new place. But now I'm struggling to actually get my money back because the hotel and Booking.com are both impossible to get hold of! I'm so let down by the lack of help in getting this sorted out.
Room booking disaster
I booked a room at the hotel expecting it to be wheelchair accessible with a walk-in shower. However, when I arrived, it was a total disaster! The hotel had no clue about my needs - there was no shower and the room wasn't even suitable for a wheelchair. My wheelchair wouldn't even fit through the doors! It was a nightmare trying to move around and my carer had to assist me much more than usual. Booking.com really dropped the ball on this one.
Booking a caravan in Newquay
The caravan we booked in Newquay was really great! It was brand new and had loads of space inside. The best thing was how close it was to the beach - we had a blast there. The only things I'd suggest adding are some hooks in the bathroom and maybe some outdoor furniture. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I'd definitely recommend it.
Flight ticket purchase via online travel platform
I recently bought flight tickets online and had a really annoying experience. The airline changed the time of one of our flights, and we ended up missing our connecting flight. When we contacted the customer service of the online platform for help, they were not helpful at all. They suggested solutions that were just ridiculous and would have made things worse for us. They wouldn't even reach out to the airline for us, which didn't make any sense and was irresponsible. We had to hurry to find new flights and sort everything out by ourselves in the end. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this online platform to book flights, it's just not worth the trouble.
Disabled account and email, poor customer service
I am really let down by the customer service and website of this company. They disabled my account and email without even telling me why. I’ve tried to get in touch with customer service many times, but no luck. The website doesn't help much either in answering my questions, so it's been really hard to sort out any problems. I find it absolutely shocking and not okay at all.
Flight booking
The customer service from this booking website has been absolutely terrible. We had a flight delay and some issues landing in Amsterdam, and we've been waiting over 4 months for a refund. Despite calling numerous times, we kept being told that our case was being escalated with the team and the airline, but nothing happened. It's been really frustrating and disheartening, and there's no end in sight.
Because of the lack of accountability and transparency from this booking website, we've decided not to use their services again. We recommend others to look for different booking platforms to avoid the same disappointments and delays in getting refunds.
