Public Warning – Avoid Fantastic Services for Gardening Work Posting this to warn others about a terrible experience with Fantastic Services, after they were recommended to me for gardening. I genuinely wish I had looked into them more thoroughly. What was promised: Lawn mowing Weeding Edging Weed killer application Jet washing What was actually done? None of the above. The only work carried out was some light grass trimming and basic tree cutting with a saw — no proper equipment, no care. Worse, they left all the clippings and tree debris behind for me to clean up. Absolutely unacceptable. Communication was a disaster. There was a major language barrier with the gardeners, and I had to speak to a family member of one of them just to translate basic instructions. I also spent over an hour making multiple calls to Fantastic Services between 10:00–11:00 am, going in circles with no helpful resolution. The gardeners arrived at 10:00 am but didn’t begin work until 11:15, and even then, they complained about tree cutting and the number of bags needed. They left around 2:00 pm, having barely done a fraction of what was agreed. To make things worse: I had already paid £282 up front Then I received a text claiming the price had been changed to £245 (no explanation given) Since then, they’ve repeatedly tried to charge my bank account: £6 £4 £80 And now they’ve emailed me demanding an “outstanding balance” of £60 This is absolutely outrageous. Not only did they fail to provide the agreed-upon service, but they’re also continuing to attempt unauthorized charges on my account — which feels nothing short of fraudulent. Summary: Promised services were not delivered Communication was awful Cleanup was ignored I was overcharged, and they’re still trying to take more
