Daughter's 21st celebration
My experience at the river cruise for my daughter's 21st birthday celebration was pretty disappointing, to be honest. We were told to arrive at 3:15 for departure, but the boat didn't actually leave until 3:40, so we ended up waiting around with no access to any amenities. The food service was unbelievably slow, even though we all had the same meal, and the drinks service was just as bad, often getting orders wrong.
More than half of our group were told they had run out of scones, and my daughter and her partner were left with no food at all until they complained and asked for something to eat. The offer of a refund for one of my bottomless proseccos didn't really make up for the slow and disorganized service. Despite all that, the food itself was pretty tasty, and the views were absolutely stunning.
But, overall, the staff's inefficiency really left a bad impression on us, and I'm not sure we'll be going back for another visit any time soon, to be fair.
