Aircon unit
We bought an air-con unit to keep one of our rooms cool during the peak Summer heat. The unit arrived with a small faulty fitting which caused hot air to leak back out of the exhaust into the room.
We had the absolutely agonizing experience of trying to sort this out with one of the worse customer service reps I have ever met - Hettie.
She typically takes over a MONTH to reply at a time, if she replies at all. When she does actually decide to reply, she ignores everything you've said - you end up repeating yourself and waiting at least another month for the next response.
She offered for us to send the entire unit back for replacement, but said we would have to pay for delivery - all we needed was a tiny plastic fitting that couldn't have been more than a few pounds. After half of the Summer had passed, she finally agreed to send a replacement for the faulty part...
Despite providing multiple pictures of the fauly part, she send a completely different part to us.
We have continued to try to resolve the issue, but she simply ignores everything we say to her. She finally offered to compensate us...
After spending £400 on the unit to keep ourselves cool for the Summer, and instead sweating through the discomfort with a faulty unit, we were offered.... £30 compensation.
