Review about: UK Breakaways
Shanklin Beach Hotel, Isle of Wight.
There would have been a photo that showed the condition of the mattress in our room at Shanklin Beach Hotel, dates: 18/07/2021 to 24/07/2021 you would have seen not only a very ... stain, but that it actually extended the divan by about six inches.
The was a movie that showed me opening the cold tap, you would have seen that it only trickled with water until I had actually turned the tap to the fully open position, the initial trickle was warm water.
The food wasn’t really up to much, most mornings the sausages weren’t fully cooked in the middle, although the outside looked cooked, my Brother wouldn’t eat his at all.
We were allocated a table for our stay, this was changed on the last two meals of our stay, together with the meal times throughout the stay, we didn’t know from day to day when we were to be seated for our meals.
Most of the staff didn’t appear to be trained staff, but they gave their best and I have no complaint against them.
When I booked this hotel I expected that the two bedrooms would be close to each other, yet we were on different floors, my Brother had to call the Manager as soon as he went into his room, he couldn’t move the shower door and had a “Cross-head ...”, (usually meant for ... into wood), ... into the handle of their cold water tap where a “grub ...” should have been fitted, (there was photos of this as well)
Overall I and my Brother were very disappointed with this hotel and it had definitely gone downhill since I stayed there in February 2020 the managers excuse was that it was a Victorian Hotel, well I think it needs to be brought into the 21st Century and I will not be recommending this hotel to anybody.
