Vintage Cash Cow Evaluation
UPDATE: VCC has replied to my negative reviews on Trustpilot and Google saying they tried to contact me. Just to be clear: They called me once yesterday as soon as this (and others) were posted. I was in the garden. Didn't hear the phone. Message left said to call them back. I tried 4 times. No one picked up the phone. I then went to their webchat and was told that my complaint would be sent off and I would have to wait ANOTHER 7-10 days. Just EMAIL me with a compensation offer. Not rocket science.
I have had nothing but APPALLING 'service' from Vintage Cash Cow. Behind the slick advertising and the cosy 'meet your appraiser' photos is a completely chaotic system of unanswered emails and phone calls. I only went ahead and sent some items to VCC because I checked them out on Trustpilot. They had received (in general) a high rating. After experiencing their 'service' I can only believe that is because they pay - or otherwise incentivise - people to write glowing reviews. It started well, the postage label came through and a whole load of information but then I was inundated with 'you haven't got back to us yet' emails. I was busy and it took me a good few weeks to pack what I was sending. I didn't need the constant hassle of communication from them. And to be honest I began to wonder why they were so desperate. Finally I sent my package off after having the good sense to photograph what I was sending. After they confirmed receipt I emailed to say I wanted a valuation in writing. A couple of days later they attempted to call me. I missed the call and wrote back to say they had agreed to email me. They confirmed they would in a day or so. After a week I tried to call them using both of their phone numbers. No response. Then went on Instagram to get a response...nothing until the next day by which time I'd finally got through to someone on their website chatline. They said they would send a valuation through the following day. This finally happened after an apology saying they had had 'an internal electronic glitch'. The valuation was laughable so I declined and asked them to send my items back. They said they would send in a few days and let me know the tracking number. Five days passed with no tracking number sent. The day I chased this up I actually received the package. Opened it the next day to find that a silver plated coffee ... I sent had been returned with its handle and decoration on the top of the ... lid not only broken off but packaged in separate bundles which would indicate the packer didn't break it but was broken during evaluation. I immediately emailed providing pictures of the whole coffee ... I sent off and the broken pieces I received back. I waited 4 days to be told they would look into it within 7-10 days. Well, guess what, I still haven't heard from them. I would like to say they are a victim of their own success...too many people are sending items in and they don't have the infrastructure to manage it. This also means they have so many items that they can offer really low prices. But I truly feel that they don't care and are out to make as much as they can whilst hoodwinking their 'customers' in to believing they are being offered a really good deal. I have yet to receive compensation from them. I think they think I will go away. I won't. I will also try and ensure that people think more than twice before they send their items to VCC. AT THE VERY LEAST photograph your items before you send them. Although, as with me, that's no guarantee you'll get any compensation. Shame on you VCC!Review about: 247 Home Rescue
Annual boiler service
Max the Engineer contacted me 15 minutes before arriving which was fab as it helped get ready. He explained everything as he continued with the service. Was friendly with my two children which made him come across warm. Overall a friendly and helpful individual.
