    WiFi installation

    Disastrous. They were supposed to install the equipment on Feb 24th. The engineer never showed up. Stayed in all afternoon for nothing. 4th Utility has no convenient way of contacting them - no webchat, and they ignore emails. So I had to sit on hold for God knows how long to ask what the ... was going on.

    They were apologetic and promised to fix it.

    There idea of doing this was to book a new appointment ... with the exact same engineer. His name is Dan, and he was supposed to come for the second time on the 6th of March.

    Guess what happened. Just guess.

    For clarity - the first time this happened, Dan had apparently wanted me to "confirm" by text, despite this being an appointment 4th Utility had told me was so set in stone I would have to pay a £25 if I cancelled, even with over a day's notice. I hadn't seen his text, and don't see why I should have had to considering multiple messages from 4th Utility saying the appointment was fully booked. However, the second time, I was watching my phone like a hawk. My heart sank at seeing Dan's name again, but when he texted demanding a superfluous confirmation again, I supplied it within a minute. It made no difference. He didn't show up and ignored texts and calls all day.

    TWICE now these scammers have had me stuck in my house all day for nothing. Once again I had to wait on hold at length just to talk to anyone about it. This time they didn't know what to do but I was promised that someone would call me back last Friday to somehow make things right.

    It's now Tuesday. They haven't bothered to call back. They've ignored multiple emails now. Three weeks into the supposed contract and they haven't installed the internet, while I've had to waste hours on end chasing them - and I'm still paying out for my old provider.

    Love how I would have had to pay them £25 to inform them I was cancelling the appointment, but they can just ghost without any penalty at all.

    4th Utility seem to have plenty of money and staff for marketing, but none to actually do the job. And once they've got your bank details all their interest in you goes out of the window.

    Avoid.
