    Absolutely disgusting customer service!

    I tried to cancel my account with this company for over 3 months with no support or help from their team. The team were completely unequipped to deal with my problem, constantly contacted numbers which they had been told were not available. I was passed back and forth between agents and managers constantly over the 3 months with only one person (Lorraine) providing any ounce of kindness for my circumstances. In my last phone call I was patronised, laughed at and taunted by a customer service member who refused to offer me his name or put me through to his manager and then subsequently hung up on me.

    Verisure should be ashamed of themselves for the way they have treated myself and members of my family in our current circumstances. What was already an incredibly stressful period in our lives was made worse by their lack of support and complete lack of respect.

    They have consistently refused to cancel the contract despite me waiting their 3 month cancellation period. I will now be cancelling the direct debit. I have made countless phone calls in what has been the most difficult period of my life to try and do the right thing and cancel within the terms of the contract. I would never recommend this company to anyone and will warn people in the future to stay away from them.

    I've just seen your post about Verisure on britainreview.com. It mirrors my current experience of this awful company and you might like to have a look at it. It was posted 3 or 4 days ago. I don't monitor this email address constantly but would be happy to keep you updated on events!

    You may wonder about the title of this review. There is a line in The Beachboys song Hotel California that goes, "You can check in but you can never leave" and that accurately describes Verisure's attitude to its customers
    When I subscribed to Verisure six years ago their equipment seemed top of the range. However, today, they have been overtaken by more sophisticated, cheaper and user friendly technology.
    Three months ago I decided to cancel my out-of-contact account and contacted Verisure by phone and email to confirm my decision and to tell them that their kit was sitting in a box for them to collect. Since then I have been subjected to a blizzard of ... phone calls from Verisure that haven't addressed the issue of cancelling my account and sending me round and round their departments until I gave up.
    I cancelled my direct debit and reluctantly sent them a cheque three months for the outstanding balance on my account. Since then - nothing from them.
    So we are at a stalemate. I won't pay them further for their equipment sitting in a box awaiting collection and they won't cancel my account.
    What an appalling way to run a company.
