I bought a shed online from this garden centre, but when it turned up, it was a complete disaster! It arrived all as a mess of wood, looking more like firewood than a shed. There was no packaging at all and the wood was all messed up, split, and cracked. I tried to get in touch with them so many times, but it was like talking to a brick wall. Eventually, they came to pick it up, but I still haven't received my refund. It's a total scam and their customer service is terrible!
Plants and seeds
I went to the garden centre with my mum to get some plants and seeds for our garden. We were really excited to see all the different flowers and vegetables they had on offer! The staff there were really helpful and gave us some great advice on which plants would work best in our garden. But, oh my gosh, there were loads of bees buzzing around, which was a bit scary but also pretty cool. Despite that, we had a really good time picking out plants and seeds, even if I got a bit scared by the bees.
Swing seat purchase
I bought a swing seat on 28 February, but it never turned up. I tried to get a refund multiple times, and it wasn't until 11 May that I finally got my money back via PayPal. If you can't keep up with orders, just cancel them instead of holding onto customers' money when they haven't received their orders for months.
Bistro set
I was really worried when I ordered my bistro set because of the bad reviews, but luckily it arrived in just 3 days and I'm really pleased with it!
gardening supplies
I bought some gardening stuff from that garden centre not too long ago. I was happy I could collect my order from the store near me in just 2 days. But when I got there, they only had 2 of the 4 things I wanted. I asked them to give me a shout when the other stuff was in stock, but they never did. It's been more than a week now and I'm thinking of getting my bits from somewhere else. All in all, it's been a bit of a letdown.
Screw replacement
What a nightmare! I bought a basic screw replacement online, but it turned out to be a total disaster. The customer service was terrible, the packaging was all battered, and the product was faulty. It looked like it had been sent back many times in the past. I went to some local DIY shops, but they couldn't even work out if the screw was imperial or standard. I asked my friends, family, and neighbours to help assemble it, but nobody had any success. Eventually, a DIY-savvy friend came to the rescue and managed to put the chair together. However, I have a feeling it won't be long before it falls apart again.
Succulents and pots
Cherry Lane Garden Centres recently took over Riverside garden centre, and it's completely changed into a posh B&M shop. It was such a shame as it used to be really good, but now it's all about having loads of stock rather than focusing on high-quality products. It's really disappointing. We're going to Alton's on the A127 instead, much better all round.
Plants and gardening tools
I went out shopping for plants and gardening tools with my mum, sister, and cousin. It was really fun, we managed to find everything we were looking for.
Meal at the bistro
During my recent trip to the bistro in the garden centre, I have to say it was quite disappointing. I felt like there was a lot lacking in the whole experience. The lady who was serving at the hot plate didn't seem very interested and was missing some basic customer service skills. To make matters worse, our meal came to us lukewarm on plates that were already cold, which was a big let down. The Yorkshire puddings were soggy and had no flavour at all, making me think they had probably been frozen. On top of that, the vegetables were tasteless and not even served at the right temperature. All in all, it's safe to say it wasn't an experience I'd want to go through again.
Corner Summer House
As a customer at this garden centre, I must say I was a bit worried at first when I didn't get an email confirmation after buying my corner summer house. But, it arrived within a few weeks and I was pleasantly surprised by the well-packed delivery and the bonus tempered glass window panes. Luckily, I didn't have to use them, but it's nice to have that extra reassurance! All in all, I'm really happy with my purchase and would definitely suggest this garden centre to anyone.
Garden loppers and drinks
FRITTEN BRANCH…Near Gt Yarmouth
Really rude lady “Rosemary” on the till who was clearly not up to the job of providing a pleasant face for the company as front of house. Also got home only to find I’ve been over charged for a pair of anvil loppers which clearly have the price on the handle.
When we phoned the manager to report the lady’s rudeness and the over charge he wasn’t interested in her manors and just said we have to return to the store ‘40 mile round trip’ to get are overcharged money back even though it was paid on a card and could be refunded to the same card… a cost to us in time and petrol that will be far more than the refund!
Very poor customer service by 2 people letting down all the other staff both in this branch and all the others..
