Unfortunately my nearest shop is approx 11 miles away - we could do with an outlet in, say, Yate. I know from speaking to various people that this would prove a popular shop. The one I visit - when i am in town - is in the Galleries at Bristol. It is second to none bearing in mind the selection and type of goods they offer and, importantly, the really good prices. Staff are very helpful and when i visit to browse, I invariably find some item to buy. PLEASE consider another outlet this side of town!
I would definitely recommend Robert Dyas. I bought a TV in Oct for a birthday present in Dec. When the TV was opened there was 2 right legs instead of a right and a left. Contacted customer services on the 16th Dec and they immediately sent me a set of new legs for the TV arriving on the 19th December. Exceptional customer service and nothing was too much for them. 10-10
Bought four bottles of white vinegar in Godalming. No problem with them but every time in the store I take a purchase to the check out the assistant always ask " can we interest you in x ?". Please Robert Dyas stop the pushy sales techniques - I don't like it. If I wanted x I would have bought it in the first place.
Spent £100 on two School Desks for my kids, and one of the wooden struts for one of the stools had a crack in it - contacted Robert Dyas, were extremely unhelpful and point blank refused to send me a replacement piece ASA goodwill gesture. Desks are inferior quality, not at all worth the money - avoid this company like the plaque - absolutely shocking Customer Service )-:
This company must have the worst customer services in the country, including Ryanair. I bought a microwave & needed to return it. It is almost impossible to contact them, & when finally you do get a response they lose interest after some questions & answers & the whole process has to start from scratch again. It is now 3 weeks since since it should have been picked up & still nothing arranged.
Mine was an unbelievably negative experience and I will never shop at Robert Dyas again.
My original order was sent to a shop which has been closed for months. When I tried to contact customer service to find out what was going on the process was lengthy and very frustrating. After 4 weeks a repeat order was sent to another branch with the someone else's name on it. It was only because of a diligent employee at Ryman's that my order got into my hands. This process took a month and my online account includes a delivery charge for delivering to my house which was never discussed.
The whole process was dire and although eventually my payment was refunded I really have got to find somewhere else as it was a catalogue of ineptness from start to finish.
First attempt to recharge failed--faulty battery? Bought this online. Will never make that mistake again. Contacted customer services who said it would be collected. The day arranged came and went - no collection. On phoning customer services was told that as it came from their suppliers other arrangements would have to be made. Another date arranged in the meantime I was sent a prepaid label to post back via GPO. Posted it only for Robert Dyas to tell me days later that it had not arrived. They only managed to find it when I produced the certificate of posting. So, 3 weeks before I had a refund. Compensation was agreed - I had to ask for it - but even this was queried as they said they could find no note about it. Eventually agreed to send a gift voucher. Guess what? Still waiting........
Just wanted to share the very poor experience I have had with Robert Dyas, I ordered a corner rattan dinning set in grey from Robert Dyas, it was delivered on the day they said it would be delivered however when I opened the box it was actually brown with cream cushions, I called the and arranged an exchange. A week later transport called to collect the wrong item but without the exchange furniture. I called them once again and they eventually agreed to getting the exchange out to this Thursday. Great I thought at least we would have what we ordered. Ha but this was not to be, just received a call to say that they are out of stock??? What a shambles of a company to deal with, never again, the attitude of all the staff I spoke to was not the best with the exception of a lady called Leah who really wanted to help but unfortunately Robert Dyas didn’t
Ordered some trailing petunias in April which showed them in stock. 6 weeks later no petunias. Phoned the laughably called Customer Services every day for week. Loads of promises no petunias. Phoned again on Friday to be told they were out of stock. I asked to speak to the line manager. The lady said she didn't have one, didn't report to anyone at all and only saw Theo every other month or so. Must get very lonely sitting on your own in a big office. Still waiting for a refund. Theo has quit the dragons now hopefully to spend more time looking after dissatisfied customers a tadge closer to home. Very poor service. Watch the papers for this company to go bust in the very near future.
