    Half panicked, half relieved

    I was a bit unsure before ordering — paid for next-day delivery and kept thinking "this'll be late", silly me. I ordered on Thursday for Friday and when Friday came empty I rang them. They promised Saturday and honestly I was ready to write them off, I even missed a chance to use my car. The parcel did turn up on Saturday, late but intact, with a proper apology. First impression when I opened it was good, so my scepticism faded. Would I order again? Probably, but I’ll track it more closely next time.

Support replied in a flat, almost annoyed tone and said my items were with drop‑shipping partners — never mentioned on the website. The site was easy to use and prices seemed fair, so it's not all terrible, but transparency and delivery need fixing.

    Relief after a shaky start

    Stuck in a car park, watching time go by and wondering if this would ever sort itself. I paid about £130 for next‑day delivery and only got part of the order, which didn’t help at all. Tried ringing customer service — no proper reply. They initially said a refund wasn’t possible, which was frustrating. I’d ordered from Euro Car Parts and Motorworld afterwards and those helped me out, so that’s a plus. The moment I knew I could relax was when the replacement parts arrived from elsewhere and the car started again. Felt relieved and a bit grateful it ended up OK, even if dealing with this firm was a faff.

    Great price, awful follow-up

    I wouldn't recommend them — start with that. A mate flagged the 25% off deal on their site so I ordered a Flex accessory, looked like 2–3 day delivery and a decent price. Ordered on 22 Aug and after nearly a week the status was still 'pending'. I rang customer service and the adviser called me 'mate' the whole time — bit casual, but fine — told me it would ship in two days. Then out of the blue I get a cancellation email blaming a 'technical fault' with stock, while the item was still shown as available online. Feels like false advertising, annoying more than angry. Price was tempting, but I won't risk it again.

    Clutch mess that ate a weekend

    “don’t worry about the diameter, they change them, just remove the dowels from the flywheel.” I’ve been a mechanic for a good while, so I wasn’t buying that. Then he pulls another clutch from under the counter — now it’s too small. Lots of pushing responsibility back at me, a fair bit of “not sure where you’ll get one” attitude.
    In the end I drove to Euro Car Parts, grabbed the first kit off the shelf and it matched perfectly — plates, slave and all, fitted straight on and the pedal feel now is smooth and positive, engagement spot on. Unexpectedly good.
    Overall it cost me two wasted days, around 20 miles of back-and-forth, no car for a couple of days and more hassle than needed. Normally I’ve used the same branch without trouble, so this felt like a one-off poor run rather than the norm.

    Lambda sensor purchase

    I thought the website was a bit confusing when I was searching for a Lambda sensor for my car. There were seven different options with different prices, and I wasn't sure which one would be the right fit. Luckily, Karl from customer service was really helpful in explaining which part I needed and making sure it was compatible with my vehicle. After placing the order, the part is now working perfectly.

    Helpful staff, long-time customer

    The staff at this shop are really amazing! I've been coming here for years and I would never think about going anywhere else. They're always so friendly, know what they're talking about, and willing to do whatever it takes to help me find exactly what I'm looking for. I can't recommend them enough!

    Car registration supplied but wrong part

    I recently ordered some stuff from GSF Car Parts, and I was happy to see they included my car reg with my order. But, to my dismay, the part I got was not right. Despite this hiccup, the customer service team were great and sorted it out for me. The prices were decent, although I do wish the delivery had been speedier. All in all, my experience with GSF Car Parts was a bit up and down, but I might still give them another shot in the future.

    Headlights for my car

    I ordered some headlights for my car online and they never turned up. Can you believe it? I got in touch with them and they said my headlights got lost during delivery. Seriously, what a joke! The customer service was really bad too, they didn't seem bothered that I never got my headlights. They didn't offer me any discount or try to get the parts to me quickly. And to top it off, they said I'd have to wait 4-5 days for the refund. Ugh, I miss physical shops. Online shopping feels like a gamble.

    Battery order gone wrong

    I ordered a battery from here, yeah? And get this, it never even arrived! Can you believe that? They claimed it was returned to the depot, but didn't bother leaving me a note or anything. What's up with that? So, when I phoned customer service, they assured me it would be delivered the following day, which was a Saturday. However, I later discovered from the delivery company that it was actually returned to the depot. I'm pretty peeved, to be honest. I won't be shopping here again and I won't be recommending it to my mates. It's just not on.

    I got exactly what I was after - OEM parts at a brilliant price - and they arrived straight to my door. Can't really ask for more than that!     Replacement Windscreen Wipers

    So, I wanted some new wiper blades for my car, didn't I? I ordered a set from a company in the UK, thinking they'd be perfect for my ride. But you know what? It took a whole 8 days for them to arrive from Europe and when they did, they didn't even fit properly! So frustrating, isn't it? Then I came across GSF and they had a really good description and photos of the blades, plus the best price. I opted for the free 2-3 day delivery and they actually arrived in just 2 days! And you know what? They fit like a glove! It only took me about 5 minutes to put them on. So simple and quick, right? Definitely a 5-star experience!

    Battery replacement

    I bought a new car battery from this company not so long ago. Their communication was really good and the prices for their products were affordable for the quality. I had a problem with a battery that was damaged by a different company, but GSF's customer service, especially Karl Gooch at the Birmingham Office in Shirley, was really professional and polite in sorting everything out. The other company didn't get in touch or apologise, but that's not GSF's fault.

    Brake pads and battery

    I've always been a big fan of this place for car parts, but I must say, my faith has definitely been shaken recently. I went ahead and bought some Brembo brake pads for the front and back of my car, along with a new battery, only to discover that Halfords had the same items at a much cheaper price. And to make matters worse, Halfords were even throwing in a 10% loyalty discount on top of their already lower prices. Seriously, GSF, what's going on? Don't you care about keeping your customers happy and coming back for more? It really does make you question why GSF doesn't offer a price match guarantee like other competitors. I used to recommend GSF to all my mates, but now, I'll definitely be advising them to check out Halfords first.
