Package cruise booking
I recently had a bit of a frustrating time trying to book a cruise. I had my heart set on a specific one and even got a brochure with all the details. But when I tried to book it as part of a package, the agent told me it wasn't an option. It was a blow, especially after seeing it in the brochure they gave me.
Cruise booking experience
So, I booked this cruise and it was a total disaster! Before even going on the cruise, the support I received was practically non-existent. I couldn't get any info about off-shore day trips, and when I tried calling them, it was like talking to a brick wall - no help at all! It felt as if they didn't even want my money. And then, surprise surprise, they suddenly changed the date when I needed to pay the full amount after I'd already put down a deposit. It felt really sneaky and now I'm totally lost. I just don't have any confidence in this company, ever.
Cruise cancellation for change in ports
Recently, I had a real headache with my cruise booking because of some changes that were made which really got my back up. I had to face it and ask about backing out because I wasn't keen on the new stops on the trip. When I talked to my travel agent and let them know my worries, they basically brushed it off saying the changes were small and if I wanted to back out, I'd lose my deposit. I felt like I wasn't being listened to and it left me feeling properly cheesed off because the main reason I booked the cruise was for the original stops. It wasn't like that when I had to change a cruise during the Russia/Ukraine war, they let me cancel without any penalties for just one stop being changed. This difference in the cancellation policies has just made me feel even more let down and has got me thinking twice about booking with this cruise company again.
