Fish tank setup
The folks at the aquatics store were absolutely brilliant right from the start. My partner and I were total novices when it came to setting up a fish tank, so we didn't have a clue where to begin. Luckily, the team, led by the very knowledgeable manager, gave us all the guidance we needed to make educated decisions. Over the last couple of months, they've walked us through every single stage, from picking out the perfect tank to selecting our fish. Ryan, in particular, really stood out with his incredible knowledge and passion for fish. He was so helpful and patient with us, answering all our questions and making sure we felt confident in our choices.

LED lighting for Fluval Roma tank
I just got some LED lights for my Fluval Roma tank from Maidenhead Aquatics, and I've got to say, the service there was top-notch! A lovely lady called Julie really went out of her way to help me out with fitting the new lights onto my old-style canopy. She clearly knew her stuff, taking a good look at my tank and coming up with a perfect solution. Thanks to Julie's hard work, I now have a stunningly lit fish tank that really adds to the look of my home. I can't thank Julie and Maidenhead Aquatics enough for their fantastic service.

Recent fish purchase
I've been coming to this store for a while now, and I have to say, the service and advice from the staff are outstanding. They've been really helpful whenever I've had issues like NO2 spikes and fungal infections in my aquarium. Their knowledge is always top-notch. It's great that they're also good with my young boys, aged 3 and 6, making the visits fun for the whole family. The staff always go the extra mile to help us out, and the recent improvements to the shop have made it even nicer to visit.

Recent store visit
I just popped into the store the other day and honestly, it was top-notch. The place was clean and tidy, and they had a massive range of products on offer. The staff, can't praise them enough, especially Tom and Deanne. These guys were so helpful and really knew their stuff. They didn't just sort out my problem, they went the extra mile, and I was really grateful for their kindness. I reckon anyone looking for aquarium bits and bobs should definitely check this store out, you won't regret it.

Fish tank setup
Just wanted to give a big shoutout to the staff at this place, especially Jenson. He really knows his stuff. Jenson helped me choose the right filter pump and gave me some great advice on which fish would get along in my aquarium. He really saved me a lot of worry and possibly saved my fish from a disaster. I can't thank him enough. I'll definitely be telling others to check out this place.

Platy fry, needful items, Amano shrimp
I popped into Maidenhead Aquatics the other day to drop off some Platy fry I'd bred and to pick up a few bits and bobs, as well as a new Amano shrimp. The staff there are always so friendly, helpful, and know their stuff. It's great to get advice from people who really know their products. It's nice to find a shop where the staff are knowledgeable and keen to help. Big thanks for the top-notch service once again!

UV Clarifier for Green Water Problem
I had a bit of a nightmare with green water in my fish tank, so I popped into Maidenhead Aquatics for some help. I'd tried a few different things but nothing was working. Luckily, one of the staff members there knew their stuff and suggested I try out a separate 18w UV clarifier. I went for it and, would you believe it, within a week the green water issue was pretty much gone! I'm really pleased with the product and grateful for the top-notch advice from the staff member.

Tropical fish tank
I popped into Maidenhead Aquatics and picked up an amazing tropical fish tank. The employees, especially Sam and the crew, were really helpful and friendly. They gave me loads of tips on how to take care of my new fish pals. I enjoy going to the store because there's a wide variety of fish to admire, it's like a colourful underwater world! I'm excited to return and add more fishy friends to my tank.

Tank and pump kit purchase
I recently bought a tank and pump kit but ran into a problem with the pump/filter unit. When I went back to the store, Jamie and Holly really went above and beyond with their customer service, fixing the issue quickly. Their knowledge about aquatic products was impressive and they made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone looking for a new tank and kit.

Pond fish purchase
I went to Dobbies Barlbrough's aquatics section recently and Daniel helped me out. His customer service was brilliant. He helped me pick out the best pond fish from the outside ponds and even offered to help me carry them to my car. I've been to this store before and Daniel always gives top-notch customer service. Thanks a lot, Daniel!

Tank purchase
I bought a tank from this shop not too long ago, and to my dismay, it started leaking after only 7 months. When I got in touch with the store about it, they told me that the seals weren't covered by the warranty. I was quite disappointed because I thought a tank would last longer than that without any problems. I'm now trying to get the situation sorted out and depending on how the customer service deals with it, I'll update my review accordingly.

Freshwater tropical fish purchase
I am absolutely shocked by the poor quality of fish that I bought from this store. I spent £90.00 on fish that were meant to make my aquarium look better, but unfortunately, more than half of them died within days. The rest of the fish are now struggling with white spot disease, so I am rushing to treat them and change the water to save them. I have been keeping fish for over 15 years, and I have never come across such a terrible situation before. This store has not only lost me as a customer for good but has also given the fishkeeping hobby a bad name. It is unacceptable for a store to sell such low-quality fish to customers who rely on them for advice and good products.

Aquatic plants and fish tank decorations
I popped to the aquatics shop because I fancied making my fish tank look slick like the ones I've seen on YouTube. I was buzzing to pick up some fresh plants and ornaments to jazz up my fish's home. However, when I got there, it was a bit grim and bleak. There were deceased fish in the tanks, and some of them seemed poorly. The tanks were all filthy and there was only one person running the show who seemed overwhelmed. It made me really gutted and angry, I won't be returning there anytime soon.

Clown fish purchase
I bought two new clownfish to add to my aquarium recently. Sadly, within a week of adding them, two of my original clownfish died. The new fish also got sick and despite all my efforts, I couldn't save them. It was really disappointing, especially considering how much I paid for them.

Bought 10 green neon tetra fish
I've been to Maidenhead Aquatics a few times and picked up some bits and bobs. They might not always have the best prices, but they're the only proper fish shop nearby. The other day, I got ten green neon tetras from their Wenvoe store. Sadly, four of them passed away within a week of putting them in my tank. Some of the other fish have gotten a fungal infection now, and I'm trying to sort it out. Oddly enough, the older fish in the tank, who were doing well for ages, have started to struggle since the new ones arrived from Maidenhead Aquatics. Plus, I lost one of my rasboras after adding the new guys. Despite keeping the water and temperature spot on, the new fish are having a tough time. And they didn't even give me a bag to carry them home; I had to tuck them under my jumper. The staff didn't ask anything about my tank or the other fish, so it seems like they don't really care about the fish's welfare. I won't be going back there; Pets at Home is my new go-to for fish - better prices and no problems so far.

Faulty pond item
I've been a customer at your store for a long time and have always been treated well by your staff. However, I was really disappointed with my recent experience when dealing with a faulty pond item. I asked about it during the week and a member of staff was quite rude to me, suggesting that the problem was my fault for not doing enough research before buying the item. She kept interrupting me and didn't seem to know much about customer service. When I complained about her attitude, she sent me over to another staff member, but they didn't have the knowledge to help me either and just told me to come back when a manager was around. I was left feeling frustrated and unhappy with the service at Maidenhead Aquatics.

Guppies from Maidenhead Aquatics
I've been into tropical fishkeeping for quite a while now and thought I'd give Guppies a go, so I went to the shop in Wellington. Turns out, it was a bit of a disaster. The first lot of Guppies I got started having issues not long after I brought them home, and despite trying everything I could to help them, I had to put them down. I gave it another shot with a new bunch from the same store, but sadly, the same thing happened again. So I decided to look elsewhere and found a store near Ottery St Mary, and finally, my Guppies are doing well. Just a heads up, be cautious about buying Guppies from the Wellington store, it could be a tough and expensive lesson for those new to tropical fishkeeping.

Bought 3 fish
I bought 3 fish, but sadly they all died within 3 weeks. It was such a waste of money! I won't be shopping here again. In the past, I've given them free fish but they just sold them for a hefty price with no refund offered.

Fish
My visit to Maidenhead Aquatics wasn't great. I bought a few baby fish but when I went back the next day for more, they told me the first lot were isolated. After that, my old 20-year-old fish began to die one after the other, which was really upsetting. I checked the water quality, but that wasn't the problem. I lost quite a few fish, so I decided to get rid of my pond to avoid going through that pain again. The staff didn't seem to care much, blaming the water instead of owning up to their poorly kept fish. The only positive note was Alex at the Worcester branch who tried to help, even though it didn't really work out due to how widespread the infection was amongst my fish.
