I ordered Mother's Day flowers and a card a week ahead. I kept checking, a bit anxious, sure it would arrive. On the morning it hadn’t turned up and I was thinking typical, not again. I rang customer service and they were calm and actually helpful, nothing fancy but they sorted it. The courier came late afternoon with everything nicely wrapped and the card looked properly handwritten, which made a difference. Seeing my mum open the door and grin — that’s the exact moment I knew it had worked. I use this kind of thing for little family moments, not big shows, and this time it felt right. Slightly stressful, but glad I stuck with it, honestly really.

Late card, awkward moment
Halfway through the evening I realised the card hadn't arrived — proper facepalm. I ordered this for my son's 16th and was told it'd arrive on the day; it didn't. First impression when I checked the tracking was “oh no”, then I jumped onto live chat. The agent, Rhys, said it’d been lost in transit and they'd re-order it at their cost, arriving in 1–3 days. To be fair, they did sort the resend without me begging, but they never offered a choice like a refund or an express swap — which would have been useful for a birthday. I was a bit gutted because the whole point was the card on the day. Used it a couple of days later and the card itself was fine, nothing flashy, but the hassle left me wary. I’ll think twice before using them for anything time-sensitive again.
Gatecrasher bouquet
I woke up to rain and the faint idea of flowers — a mate had actually tipped me off about Moonpig, so I was curious. Went out for a walk around lunchtime and there it was, a sodden box shoved over the gate (no knock, no note — I was up at six, honestly). The box was wet and squashed, and when I opened it most of the heads had snapped off, so yeah, majority straight to the bin. A couple of stems, though, looked alright and I managed to rearrange them — small victory, I suppose. Bit annoying because for the price I’d have expected better; even Tesco might’ve done a neater job for a tenner. Still, glad a few flowers survived so Mum had something to put in a vase.
The box looked promising, but the moment felt small
the product itself was fine, the personalised bits looked as ordered, but the experience around delivery and customer contact was lacking. I’m not going to pretend it was all awful — that late moment with our son mattered — but it’s not a service I’d pick for anything I wanted to be faultless. Order ref: 25175 — note it down if you need to chase them.
Deflated wrapping, intact fizz
the champagne was perfectly fine, but the presentation box arrived battered and I couldn’t get it replaced. Needed a decent-looking gift for our anniversary — not because the booze mattered more than the box, but because I’d planned a little moment and presentation counts. I ordered the boxed bottle along with a card from the same site for convenience, expecting the whole thing to turn up as advertised. The box was dented and they told me they wouldn’t replace it since the bottle inside wasn’t damaged. That felt petty — the boxed version costs more, so the box is part of what I paid for. I wasn’t after a refund or a sniff of compensation, just the same item in new condition. Customer services stuck to policy and offered nothing useful, which left me rewrapping and muttering about how I could’ve got a pristine one from the supermarket and avoided the faff. Not terrible product, just poor handling and a sulky response.
Card and balloon
Absolute ... Have cancelled plus subscription but they won’t refund it. Balloon and card never arrived. Customer service very unhelpful and hard to get hold of. Offered a credit which was useless as I won’t use again. Had to push for refund.

They can be a bit unpredictable, sometimes they're useful but other times they're not great. The last sale I made was almost perfect until the last 5 minutes, ugh! Generally, they do alright but there's definitely room for improvement.

I wanted to share my recent experience of ordering flowers and a personalised card for my mum, which arrived the very next day! I absolutely love using Moonpig to send cards, it's definitely my favourite website for that. It's just so simple and straightforward! I never struggle to find the perfect card for my loved ones. And the fact that I have Moonpig Plus is like adding extra toppings to your ice cream for free - what a great deal!
Personalized card purchase
Some bits just don't quite work, you could say it's not very easy to use. There are just too many options and extra things like chocolates and flowers that make it all confusing. It's really easy to accidentally press the incorrect button. A week isn't really long enough when you're trying to make a card. But overall, it's a fantastic system and it offers a great choice for making personalised cards that you can get creative with.
Customised card purchase
The website is really nice, it's easy to use and looks modern which makes customising a card super easy. I was pleasantly surprised by how fast the delivery was, and the tools for customising were absolutely fantastic. Having said that, I do think the prices are a bit high compared to other choices out there.
International greeting cards
I've always been happy with the quality of the cards I send to my family in another country using this service. The UK branch of this company is top-notch, but sending cards to the USA isn't as reliable. There have been times when the cards never made it or took ages to arrive. Despite these problems, I'm grateful that the company always gives a refund in these cases.
Quick and easy app
The app was really straightforward to use and I received my card and gifts the very next day, just as they said I would. I live in a different country, so this service was really handy for me. I'll definitely be using this app again in the future!

Card purchase for granddaughter
I came across loads of lovely cards for my granddaughter's birthday on this website. I was able to personalise it myself and it was really simple to do. The card came pretty fast and it looks fantastic. I think my granddaughter is going to absolutely adore it!
Late birthday card delivery
I ordered a birthday card from this online service, where I paid extra for first-class delivery to make sure it got there in time for the recipient's birthday. But, it ended up showing up three days late, and to make matters worse, they put the wrong postcode on the envelope, causing even more delays. I ordered the card on May 29th, but it didn't get to the recipient until June 4th, which is almost a week later. This whole situation has left me feeling disappointed and annoyed, and I won't be using this service again.
Last-minute card orders
I was really pleased with how easy it was to order last-minute cards from this service. They had a good range to choose from and being able to order just one day before and get it delivered the next day made a big difference for me. I also like that it saves addresses and reminds me about important dates like birthdays and anniversaries.
