Heating oil
PLEASE READ MY REVIEW BEFORE ORDERING FROM BOILER JUICE: You don’t really know what a company his like until you have a problem,Most of the positive reviews on this site are based on a computer doing its its job. You go on line , find a a favourable price , order , pay and your fuel is delivered . I would suggest that most favourable feedback is based on a computer doing its job, with no or very little human intervention.
But what happens when things go wrong ? You only really know how good or bad a company is until there is a problem. Hopefully you are still reading , so I will share my experience based on my last order . At this stage I would like to inform you that I have been a loyal Boiler Juice Customer.
When you order form boiler Juice you are charged £10.00 in addition to the cost of the fuel , so a 500 LTR order increase’s the cost by £ 0.02p a ltr.
Delivery timescales are not always met . I ordered my fuel on the 30th August but it was not delivered until the 21st September .
If you ask to be informed when the delivery is going to be made in my case it did not happen , so when the driver turned up the lock on the tank had not been removed.
Although I was at home when the delivery was attempted, the driver did not knock on the door to ask for the lock to be removed or call me . When I queried this with Boiler Juice I was informed that drivers are not required to knock on your door if they have a problem and some drivers do not have a company mobile phone . The driver did not leave a note to say a delivery had been attempted ( before 07:20am ) and i was not made aware this attempted delivery until the afternoon.
The e mail also said that I would have to pay a £40 redelivery charge. After some conversations with Boiler Juice I was told that unless I paid the £40 redelivery charge I would not receive my order , so basically my order was being held to “ransom” . I have complained in writing but to date no response. I have also written to their CEO , but again no repsonse. Frustrated I agreed to pay the £40 redelivery charge.
After reviewing the order confirmation form again it clearly stated that a non-delivery fee of up to a £35 being applied. I queried this with Boiler Juice and was give a £5.00 credit.
So after paying the redelivery charge I waited for delivery to be made. The latest delivery date was supposed to be the 18th Sept , but not been given any confirmation of when the delivery was going to be made I contacted Boiler Juice supply operations on the 14th September . I received a call to confirm that the had spoken to the supplier and the delivery would be made by the 18th Sept.
Guess what , on the 18th no notification and no delivery . I spoke to a member of the customer service team on the 19th who informed me that the my order was scheduled for delivery on the 20th .Guess what …….No delivery . I contacted the customer services team again who informed the delivery was for planned for the 21st. Although the people I spoke to on the customer services team were really nice , they did not provide firm answers . I was told that there “hands were tied” .Boiler Juice seem to think that once you place an order with them and they pass the order on to an oil supplier any issues are not their problem . My view is that If I place an order with a company and I pay that Company then they have full responsibility for that order .
In the end I spoke to the oil company who Boiler Juice had given my order to . Great service , they confirmed when the delivery was going to be made and arrived as stated.
Hopefully you have got this far , so are now have my view on what Boiler Juice are really like . i would suggest that you contact some of your local oil companies direct ( at the end of the day these are the people that Boiler Juice use ) to get a price . You may need need to negotiate and you may pay a little bit more , but in my opinion you will get a much better serviceOil Delivery
We were informed, via two texts and an email that our oil order would be delivered on 10th April (Easter Monday). Despite the fact that we were in all day, it wasn’t delivered. The next day on contacting the number given in the texts (the office was closed on 10th) we were told it wasn’t delivered because vehicles blocked access to the tank. Apart from the fact that this is physically impossible, we know that no oil tanker came near the property on the designated day. Not only were at the property but out CCTV also confirmed that no oil tanker came through the village on that day.
When the oil was finally delivered 10 days later, we asked the driver about the previous failed delivery and he confirmed that the company does no deliver on Bank Holidays.
Boiler Juice Oil Orders are processed in Scotland where Easter Monday is not a bank holiday.
I am usually prepared to tolerate an administrative error where it is admitted. What I cannot tolerate is being lied to.
Boiler Juice has lost our custom. I will also tell anyone who is interested of our own experience of the company. For the future I will go direct to local independent oil companies.Heating oil
The frustrating thing is that Boilerjuice used to be great. Competitive price, good experience when interacting.
I've tried twice since November and both have been awful. The first time I didn't get a supplier till way after due date, they let me down four times and when they did come they wouldn't enter my garage as they didn't want to ... it. I ended up cancelling in the end and getting a local delivery, with a service charge of £5 which I could live with. The second time they again missed the due date, and on speaking to the supplier they admitted that they couldn't confirm when it would arrive. It was because of this I again cancelled but this time got hit with a whopping £11 service charge! I complained but they said because I cancelled before the due date I had no case, I said that isn't accurate and they should speak to the supplier but I've heard nothing, and ultimately got nothing back.
I've given up now on them and the surprising thing is if you go with a local supplier and ask them to price match you'll be surprised how close they get.
If you do insist on going with them, push for clarity on the supplier and just call them direct. If you do need to cancel wait till the day after the due date and that way you can complain and hopefully get the service charge back.
Good luck if you do go with them though...Boilerjuice Kerosene - non delivery
Boilerjuice - at your own risk !
Sadly due to the fact that my web contact attempts and telephone calls don't get answered, I've resorted to raising this issue on Facebook and other social media. I ordered oil around 11th December (order 3813127) and after two failed and missed delivery dates, I subsequently decided to cancel the order as we needed heating in the house after New Year's due to a medical and health crisis. I note that £424.36 has been credited my 'Tank' account but I don't understand why the full amount that I paid on 11th December 2022 - namely £436.84 has not been credited...please explain the £12.38 deduction. If anything, Boilerjuice should be responsible for settling the emergency oil surcharge I incurred to get oil urgently delivered as they failed to honor their contract. Please advise when the full amount will be credited to my account. This has been completely and totally unacceptable service.Oil
I had an email on 7 December advising me my oil would be delivered by 23 December, I chased on 22 December and was then told it had been delayed and would arrive by 31 December. I chased again on 28 and was assured it would be here, I rang again today as I have now run out of oil and was told it should be here tomorrow I have just received an email advising me my oil now won’t be here until 3 January. Every time I ring I have been on hold for at least 20 mins. I now have no heating or hot water for 4 days.
Heating Oil
My advice is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I placed an order with Boiler juice on 4th December for 900 litres of heating oil on a 5 working day delivery to arrive on or before 9th December. Received an email and text on the 9th to advise delivery was scheduled for that day. No oil was delivered. Phoned on the 12th to complain and eventually got through after 35 minutes wait to be told it would be resolved. Received an email and text on the 13th to advise delivery was scheduled for that day. Again no oil was delivered. Today, 15th December, i phoned to be told very unhelpfully and arrogantly that boiler juice were only a price comparison site and they had no responsibility for the delivery of my order although they would try and escalate our order with the delivery company and call me back. Despite their assurances, having received no further updates, I have called the supplier Certas to be told they ran out of heating oil on the 13th December and Boiler Juice were informed. So in conclusion Boiler Juice have sold me oil that they cannot provide. Their customer service is shocking and they have lost loyal customer who has used them for 6 years by failing to provide the service they offer, failing to provide any communication and failing to be truthful when questioned about my order. To make matters worse I am expected to wait 5 days for my payment to be refunded when I have had to pay to an alternative supplier. I am now close to running out and need to wait until the 20th December for an urgent delivery to arrive. AVOID.
Heating Oil Delivery
They are terrible, I am having to look at moving out of my house over Christmas because of their failure to deliver my heating oil. I pasid to have it delivered by last Friday and now the following Wednesday they still can't tell me when, ie even if, it will be delivered. In the 11 days since I ordered the oil the opportunity to get a delivery from someone else before Christams has now gone so I am looking at trtying to find a hotel that will take my family and pets over Christmas. This whole debacle will cost me thousands of pounds. And what do I get from Boiler Juice..........absolutely nothing, no service, no delivery, no apology, no refund just absolutely nothing. DONT USE THEM >>>>>>EVER
Heating Oil
Have used Boilerjuice regularly for heating oil for the last two years. However latest quote is 30 p/l dearer here in Scotland than I can get from the cheapest supplier when shopping around myself. Come on Boilerjuice pull your finger out and give us a competitive price!
Kero oil
Awful never again. Waited until exorbitant market price took my money but still no confirmation of delivery date absolute awful provider who has no means of contacting them. “Live chat” is dead nothing no means of contacting them. Feel like a creditor to this shambolic service.
oil
what a rip of bunch of thieves these people are, my daughter ordered and paid £500 for some oil at 60 something pence per litre when they came they refused to deliver it and said you need to repair your tank then we will deliver, so my daughters partner swapped out the tank with new one. kept ringing and ringing this bunch of thieves to get the order delivered but they did not return calls or answer the phone. They then cancelled the order and told her to reorder now that the price has gone up to £1 a litre .... TOTAL SCUMBAGS
Totally agree with your comments!! This company and the oil delivery firm of Watson's have totally treated customers like us with disrespect and contempt. Do not answer phone calls, refuse to reply to emails. As pensioners we have been left in the cold with no heating after paying in full and waiting for 3 weeks. Have had to reorder and pay double and wait again for more oil from a different
Company. They are greedy and have no sympathy for customers like us who have dealt with them for many years. Disgraceful and sad that companies are getting away with this!Heating Oil...BoilerJuice
Appauling custoemr service. Delivery now 7 days late and no communication on why or when my heating oil will be delivered. Don't use this company - call the suppliers direct
Boiler Juice, Kerosene oil
All to willing to let me order it, so 5 stars for that. and that's about the only good thing!
Oh, they did SMS and email me to say it would be arriving - trouble is it didn't. And here's the worse bit NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Beware, if something goes wrong you'll freeze before they'll help you!!!Oil
Paid for oil online and when invoice came through via email, saw that an aga additive was was added, which we do not need or want. Contacted them straight away, they said it was already dispatched, that I needed to pay for a return to get a refund at our cost. Spoke to customer services and they were happy to lose our complete order than look after their customers and refund something, also saying it was our fault as we would have to click for it to be added. We paid more to go elsewhere, which I would happily do to receive better customer service.
750l
Much more expensive compared with a local supplier. AVOID.

Never purchase Oil from this company as…
Never purchase Oil from this company as they do not for fill on their promises and try to place the blame with the supplier. I have been with out oil for over a week due to them not delivering on time. When I contact them they say they are waiting to hear back from the supplier. I contacted the supplier who have delivered the oil after diverting one of their drivers on his way back to the suppliers depot. I also contacted Trading Standards who tell me that boiler juice is in breach of their contract with me, but boiler juice says its between myself and the supplier not boiler juice. But Trading Standards say if its boiler juice you pay directly the contract is with boiler juice not the supplier. I have had nothing but lies and un helpfulness when contacting them either via telephone or live chat answers are all pre rehearsed. I was promised call backs and emails and never received any. The only call back I received was when I told them I have been in touch with Trading Standards and also to claim the credit that they had got the oil delivered today, They were told that delivery was down to arrangements made by myself and the supplier this morning and nothing to do with boiler juice. I asked for compensation to help pay towards now having to call out a heating engineer to unlock and repair the damage caused by not having oil due to non delivery I was offered a £10 voucher to be added to my account for next delivery. Complete insult to injury. Safe to say I will be going direct to supplier in future and following up with Trading StandardsOil
ALways used Boilerjuice but the last delivery the driver ran over my lawn leaving great big divots. When I called RDS FUELS of Doncaster and sent photographs they like Boiler juice where not interested their CUSTOMER SERVICE is NON EXISTENT. Won’t use RDS ever again not recommend.
500ltr of home heating oil
I ordered my heating oil in entry of time for a delivery before the cold spell hit,or so.i thought. How wrong I was,it should have arrived on Thursday, I emailed because it wasn't here. I was assured it would arrive today Friday. I get home from collecting my car from a garage, and yes,no oil. I'm now almost out and the temperature is below freezing,I'm disabled and a pensioner who has used boilerjuice more than any other company mainly because they delivered within the time frame given. I email.again that my oils not here, where is it,I'm now.almost out.of.oil i.cannot afford to.get enough to fill my tank and have to rely on 500ltr a.time once I've saved,my thermostats set at a cd 15° and only have heating on first thing and for two hrs in the evening. I do not waste oil and have never run this low before. I'm.verging on becoming hypothermic and why, the delivery driver couldn't find my place which is tenth out of eleven properties! Nobody every had issues delivering anything here in the 20+ yrs that I've lived here. Even.my 20+ yr old Tom Tom can bring you right to my door via the car park where.everyone surprisingly park their cars and the oil deliveries are all made. But no.not this ????? I'm.left freezing cold with no.hope of o now from any other company for another two wkks at least, I've no other form of heating. My rd is we'll signed,it's not hidden. I've been seriously let down by boerjuice whose job it is to find reliable delivery companies. I will now never use them again as my latest reply states that Watson, the company they selected to not deliver my oil, do not deliver at weekends. Bless so glad the driver cab keep.warm.and.cosy over the weekend while isit and freeze in.an unheated home because he cannot find a place clearly signed!
oil
Worst company I have ever dealt with, ordered oil during the lockdown about 8 or so months ago, the driver drove over breaking my path/patio slabs, then drove over and parked in the middle of my garden to fill my tank, chewing up the garden with his lorry, iv'e sent emailed after emailed after not even a reply, twice opened the online chat box and they said they were investigating, how long do it take to investigate and get back to someone, yet they find the time to constantly bombard me with email and offers, yet 8 months later still no reply
Boilerjuice connected
Very poor service. We started with connected in april, £42 per month, we paid up front for 500 litres in april, no monitor provided, no delivery or contact since. Beware. We are considering using other suppliers
