Online course experience
My experience with online courses has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. Although I appreciate the knowledge I gain from them, it often feels like I'm missing out on the practical know-how needed to apply what I've learned. Coursera is a great platform for acquiring theoretical knowledge, but I wish they would focus more on practical application. It's all well and good to understand the concepts, but without practical skills, it's like having a car with no engine - it looks good but doesn't do much. I would love to see a shift towards a 70% practical and 30% theory approach to their courses.
Online course purchase
I'm a savvy customer, and I must say, I found the courses on offer really interesting and informative. The platform offers a whole bunch of options to cater to different interests and skill levels. But, I did come across one downside - I couldn't create an invoice that meets EU standards. For some folks whose bosses need that paperwork for reimbursement, it could be a real pain. It'd be great if Coursera could sort this out to make us all happy and make things more convenient.
Coursera plus annual plan
I've just signed up for a Coursera plus annual plan with the new year promo and it's been really fantastic. It's worth mentioning that not all courses are included in Coursera plus, but for those wanting to pick up some new skills, it's a fab place to begin and learn some basic to intermediate technical skills. If you want to progress even further, you'll need to work on your own projects and the more effort you put in, the more benefits you'll reap.
Fun learning platform
It's great that you can learn so many different subjects on this website. You've got computer stuff, personal growth, makeup, history, coding, and money topics. It's really cool. I had to do some work courses before, and while I can't recall the specifics, I do remember finding the website easy to use and all that.
AI Course purchase
After buying the AI course, I was first attracted by the promises that it was created by a well-known company. But then I found out that the content given was really lacking. And when I reached out to customer support for help, I discovered it was basically non-existent. The automated support system was a real letdown, especially in a course all about AI. It was annoying to struggle with finding simple info like how to get to Module 2. Overall, I felt like I was misled and let down by the poor support and the course material's quality.
Online course enrollment
I've had a really bad time trying to enroll in online courses. The website keeps crashing, making it hard to get what I need. The customer service is useless - they won't give me any refunds or discounts for all the problems I've had. This lack of help has really slowed me down in my studies, and I'm feeling really annoyed and disappointed with the whole thing. I'd definitely recommend that other people steer clear of this platform.

I enrolled in an online course not long ago and then noticed a dodgy transaction on my card. The bank caught wind of it and told me to freeze my card straightaway. I got in touch with them through the app, and luckily, everything got sorted out in a jiffy.

Troublesome technical issue
The customer service at Coursera is a complete disaster. I got in touch because I had a technical problem with my course, and it was like talking to a brick wall. The suggestions they gave me didn't help at all, and when I mentioned that the problem might be on their side, they ignored it. It felt like they were just following a script and not really trying to fix things. When I asked to speak to someone technical, they shut me down and said my issue was "resolved" even though it wasn't. It's obvious that looking after customers isn't important to them, and it's really annoying.
Stolen money from my bank
Someone has gone and taken my pocket money without even asking me first! They've taken it without me knowing who they are or what they do. My bank was quick off the mark and said, "Hey, that's not right!" and put a stop to them taking any more. What a cheeky and sneaky move!
Google Advance Data Course Subscription
I recently signed up and paid for the Google Advance Data Course subscription. But, just before the next billing cycle, they went and terminated my subscription out of the blue. They didn't even bother to give me a reason, just asked me to subscribe again. I tried reaching out to their support team for help, but I couldn't find any contact information. All I got was a load of useless articles that didn't help at all. It's really frustrating to see a company that's supposed to be all about top-notch education dropping the ball like this.
Unauthorized charge
I was just having a look at some online courses and then out of the blue, they went ahead and charged me for the first month without even asking. I didn't authorise any payment and couldn't even find a way to get in touch with them to sort it out. Charging people without their say-so and then making it impossible to fix the problem is just not on. It's deceitful and definitely not a professional way to do business.
Online course with peer grading
The online course I took turned out to be a bit of a letdown because of the peer grading setup they had. It was really disheartening to come across fake profiles on the website and get unhelpful feedback on my assignments. Even though I thought I did a good job, I ended up failing one assignment and had to do it again because of dodgy grades and comments from other people using the site.
Online learning platform experience
The online learning platform is not very user-friendly because the interface is quite difficult to use. It's a bit of a chore to go through the videos as there isn't an easy way to just go back a few seconds with a click. On top of that, it gets even trickier when you're trying to find specific content on different devices, like the web, iPhone, or Android app. Each one comes with its own problems, so the overall experience ends up being frustrating and not very efficient. It seems like the website design is a bit old-fashioned and they haven't really put in much effort to keep up with modern user interface standards.

I bought a course online from this platform and I have to say, I was really let down by the dodgy advertising. The ad didn't mention the full price of the course, and I had to give my personal details before finding out how much it would cost. This lack of honesty is not on and it really made me feel like I'd been tricked and couldn't trust the company. Your first impression can make a big difference, and this company definitely didn't show any integrity in how they advertise.
Membership scam
I really have to warn you about Coursera, it's a total scam! They just keep on charging your credit card even after you've cancelled your membership within the 14-day trial period. Not just that, but they conveniently "forget" to give you a heads up when you cancel and hide emails about new charges. It's like they're out to rip off unsuspecting customers. And if you try to reach out for help, good luck with that! The chatbot is completely useless and it only sends you to a human after tons of frustrating effort. And when you finally manage to speak to someone, all you get are slow, dodgy responses with very limited options for assistance. So, better watch out and keep well away from this shady company.
Certificate denial
I just finished a course and was really looking forward to getting my certificate to show off all the effort I put in. But guess what? The company refused to send it to me, even though I did everything they asked for. I feel like they've let me down and ripped me off with their lies and dodgy behaviour. I'd warn anyone thinking of using this company to steer well clear.
