I subscribed in September 2020 and thus far have received four monthly magazines all of which I have had to chase to get delivered the first being the December 2020 issue, this means that I am due eight more deliveries the last issue being November 2021. According to the Buysubscription website I have six issues remaining. Not only do they struggle with despatch but their comprehension of basic mathematics is sadly lacking. I DO NOT recommend this company they are totally inefficient.
At the end of December I telephoned to cancel my subscription due to a huge price increase. However the person customer services made an offer of a reduced price which I accepted. A week or so later they took £91 from my bank A/C (full price for sub). I telephoned customer services again and the person there said I would get a refund, but again nothing happened. In the end I telephoned 5 times and emailed once. Every call sounded as though it was going the the classic horrific "overseas" call centre and I was fobbed off every time with promises or having the phone put down. In the end I had to ask to cancel for a full refund which they seemed to understand though I have yet to receive any money. I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.
A really slow and confusing subscription system. Only allowing Direct Debit payments which you have to wait 48 hours for any form of confirmation from this company. I attempted 4 times to subscribe and frankly I've just given up. Why the BBC are using this company to manage subscriptions is beyond me. I attempted to resolve this by calling them and 3 times I was told to 'call back tomorrow' - what a waste of time. Just don't bother. Go and buy the physical magazine or subscribe to Apple News+ and get most of these magazines digitally for free.
Have used Tesco Clubcard vouchers to attempt to renew a subscription twice. They have taken the vouchers and no subscription despite me frequently chasing. Promises of returned calls and escalation never happen. Absolutely appalling service - avoid
I received the first two copies of my year subscription and now its been two months without a copy. Never had such issues with other subscriptions and am rather dissapointed but eager to see their response to my complaints.
Absolutely appalling company!!! Avoid at all costs!!! As someone who never writes reviews I have been forced to write this due to the absolute appalling customer service offered by this company. Having completely messed up my original subscription order the companies response to emails is slow and in most cases you’ll be lucky if they afford you the time to respond. They ‘promise’ that things will be sorted which don’t get sorted and after finally forcing a refund out of them 11 days have now gone by with no such action having taken place. Why is it that customers have to constantly chase these companies for what is they’re consumer right. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I've also ordered gift subscription for my father for Christmas.It's now 6th of feb and still he has not received anything. I've tried to contact them several times now and only once did I get a reply from a person and the rest are computer generated emails.I'm still hoping that somehow a real person would answer my email and sort out this problem on nondelivery of subscription or at least answer the emails-after all it's already been paid for.
