PayPal sorted me out fast, which was a relief. Ordered items weren't in stock and emails went unanswered, which annoyed me — familiar from other firms, actually. They did ring up with an alternative I didn't want; the bloke was friendly though. In the end I opened a PayPal dispute and got refunded almost straight away, oddly 4p missing, but job done.
Vanishing rings
Packed it for a weekend trip; first glance it seemed solid. Took it out twice in the first month. After the second session three of the top rings were gone — proper mystery. Felt like a cheap magic trick. Contacted them straight away. Long pauses, vague emails and an "insurance doesn't cover it" line after two or three weeks. Asked for a refund and then radio silence. Annoying. Wouldn't risk it again.
Half the stock, half the answers
Spotted it on a mate's post and decided to order three spools of braided line. I was already a bit unsure because the site only let me add two, but I went ahead and paid for the two. After a week with zero updates I emailed them. They replied saying the third wasn't in stock and apologised, but after my follow-up there was no timeline, no explanation of the website logic, just silence. That confirmed my doubts rather than eased them. Annoying and feels unprofessional — wasted time, wouldn't rely on them again.

I'm honestly really pleased — would buy from them again. Bought a Century rod online and it turned up within two working days, which I wasn't expecting to be so painless. Got a call that morning from their Sunderland branch to make sure I'd be in, and the delivery bloke was friendly, checked the rod with me (nice touch) and didn't rush off until I was happy. Item was exactly as described and in perfect nick on the doorstep. I've seen negative reviews but my experience was faultless; give them a go if you're unsure.
A bit of a muddle
I ordered a little kitchen scale for baking and it's become part of my morning routine, so I was annoyed when one item turned out to be out of stock. I tried the contact page but got no reply, baffling — why have one then? When they updated the order to remove the missing bit the parcel actually arrived pretty quickly and the scale works well. Quick, tidy and mostly spot on

Packaging is sensible too — nothing excessive, and they even seem to shove related items into one box so you’re not binning loads of cardboard. Only niggle is that first couple of times I’d open a box and double-check because it felt like something was missing, but it never was. So, mild worry, no real problem. Overall I’ll keep ordering from them; decent prices and proper fast delivery make it easy to recommend.

I wouldn't bother with this company if I were you! I bought a fishing rod they said was in stock for next day delivery, but it turned out a week later they didn't even have it and said it would take "a few weeks". So I went to Veals instead, and they were great - constantly updating me and delivering the next day. Seems like this company is just taking orders they can't handle, which isn't fair.
