One-month trial subscription
I recently decided to give their service a go with a one-month trial subscription. To my surprise, I found out that my subscription was automatically renewed without me even realising it, all the way up to April. Despite this mishap, I have to give credit where it's due - their customer service team was top-notch. We exchanged a few emails, and they quickly sorted out most of my payments with a refund. Nevertheless, I reckon they need to take a closer look at their email notification system to prevent this from happening again.

To be honest, I was a bit unsure about buying it because of all the bad reviews, but I thought I'd give it a go anyway. And you know what? I was actually quite happy with the service I got. The download didn't take long at all and it was really straightforward, plus there was a lot of good stuff to choose from. Even though some people didn't like it, I had a great time using it. I reckon you should definitely give it a try.

I had a bit of bother with my payment method getting charged twice in a month, and I couldn't get into my account for a whole week. I got in touch with customer support, and they were really quick to sort it out. They sorted my payment method and gave me back the lost week of access. I'm grateful for how efficient and helpful the support team were.

I've just discovered that my resume was posted on the website without my permission. And to top it off, I didn't even create the username that was used. I've requested for all of it to be taken down. I've kept a record of everything and will be passing it on to my lawyer.
Unauthorized charges
I've been getting dodgy charges from this company for ages now, even though I never agreed to anything with them. They keep taking money out of my account without my permission. It's definitely fraud and theft - I don't recognise the email address or the credit card linked to the account at all. The company's lack of responsibility and honesty is really worrying and seems downright criminal.
My recent experience with the service
I recently gave the service a go and was pretty happy with the stuff on offer. But I must say, the login system was a bit of a pain and pretty annoying. The whole multi-factor authentication thing was more hassle than it was worth, and it ended up being really tricky for me to get to the content I'd already paid for. It felt like every little thing needed confirming, just making the whole login process a bit of a chore rather than an easy task. Subscription for reading documents
I find this subscription-based website really frustrating and misleading. It looks like they're trying to take advantage of users by bombarding them with ads and constantly asking them to subscribe. As a student trying to find just one document for an assignment, it's really annoying to have to put up with blurry content and lots of ads just to get the information I need. The whole "sign up for a free trial and then cancel" thing seems dishonest and not very helpful, especially for those who don't have a credit card. And having to upload several documents just to download one seems like too much and unnecessary. In general, the website gives off the vibe that it's trying to push users into subscribing, which makes it feel more like a monopoly than a useful resource.
Subscription issue
I saw this review on Trustpilot that really struck a chord with me about subscription issues. Just like many others, I've had a tough time trying to cancel my account and have been charged multiple times for a service I no longer even use. Subscription Refund Request
I've just found out about a subscription my wife had signed up for before she died, but it was only brought to my attention more than a year after she passed away. I got in touch with the company to ask for a refund for the unused subscription, but to my disappointment, they said they would only refund me for the last 6 months. Even after I explained everything and mentioned that the subscription wasn't even used, they still wouldn't budge. It's really disheartening that they couldn't show any compassion or flexibility, especially in such difficult times like dealing with loss.

Subscription charges without validated email
I signed up for Scribd a while back, but I made a mistake with my email address so I never got any confirmation emails or receipts. But they kept taking money from me each month without telling me. When I spotted the charges, they only gave me a refund for one month. Can they even do that legally if my email wasn't verified? This whole thing has cost me $100 now.
