Cool pics for my school project
I stumbled upon some amazing pictures on this website for my school project. They were so vibrant and really made my project stand out. The only downside is that I wish there were more free options available because, being 12, I don't have much money to spare.
AI generated images
I've been using stock image sites for ages now, and I've started to notice something dodgy going on at Shutterstock. They've got loads of these AI-made pictures that claim to be from real human artists. Even though people have been complaining about it, Shutterstock hasn't done much to sort it out, so their image collection isn't up to scratch anymore. It's a shame they haven't done anything about it, so I've decided to jump ship and go with a different stock image site that takes better care of their quality control.
AI art generator images
My time with the AI art generator on this website wasn't great, to be honest. I thought I could just download some images like I've done with other AI generators, but it turns out they were charging me for each download and had some annoying auto-renew thing going on. The website was a bit of a maze to navigate, and their invoicing system was a real headache. I ended up being charged more than once and had to jump through hoops to get my money back. The art on the site is decent, but the whole user experience needs some serious improvements.
Contributor account blocked unfairly
Recently, I had a really annoying problem with a stock image platform. I spent a lot of time and energy building up a big portfolio as a contributor, so you can imagine my disappointment when I found out my account had been blocked just as I was hoping to start earning money from my images. It was really disheartening to feel like all my hard work had gone to waste because of what seemed like dodgy practices by the platform. I felt totally deceived and frustrated, and I just felt helpless about the whole situation.
Free trial issues
I signed up for the free trial but didn't realise it had already expired. And when I asked for a refund, they told me my 2 months credit had run out as well! My other service allows me to save images for future use. It's just not fair.
Monthly credit dissolution
I was really disappointed with the monthly credit system at this service. Even though I'm a paying customer with an account, I couldn't keep my unused credits for the next month, which made me question how fair and transparent the service really is. On top of that, when I tried to cancel my plan, I got hit with charges that were way higher than I expected. The customer service just made things worse, with unhelpful and rude responses that really soured the whole experience for me.
Unauthorized deduction from PayPal
Shutterstock went ahead and took money from my PayPal account without asking me first, even though I hadn't saved my account details for payments. I was really surprised to see the deduction, as I hadn't given permission for any transactions and wasn't expecting to be charged. It seems like they were able to go through with it because I'd used PayPal before for a different purchase. This lack of security and openness is a big worry for me and has made me feel annoyed and let down by Shutterstock's service.
Annual subscription
I've just bought a year's subscription from this company, and I have to say, I'm really let down by the whole thing. I felt like they were overcharging customers with their billing, and it was a shock to discover that it would cost me half of the annual fee to cancel during the trial period. And to top it off, the auto-renewal without any warning was annoying and made me feel like the company wasn't being straight with me. All in all, my time with this company was awful, and I'd definitely recommend steering clear of their services.
Quick credit purchase
I bought some credits for images on this platform, but I was a bit shocked to see an extra charge on my account after using them up. I found out that there's this auto-renew thing that adds more credits without asking once you finish the first lot. It doesn't seem fair, to be honest, and it can definitely take people by surprise.
Trial sign-up
I registered for a free trial with a company and completely forgot to cancel it. When I asked for a refund, they refused! They went ahead and charged me for a whole year, and to top it all off, they even tried to charge me AGAIN just to cancel. It's an absolute scam!
My sneaky purchase
I got completely fooled into buying something and then found out there were extra fees involved. Once the free trial was over, they started charging me, and when I tried to cancel, there was a hefty fee for that as well! I was really irritated, but I reached out to customer service and they weren't very helpful at first. However, after sending another email, they ended up refunding both the cancellation fee and the monthly charge. So, be careful of those hidden fees and don't hesitate to contact customer service if you're charged for something you didn't even use.
Unauthorized billing
It's absolutely ridiculous that they're just charging me without asking. I only signed up for their free trial and grabbed a few images, but since then, they've been helpin' themselves to my money every single month. I haven't even used their service, and now I'm out of pocket for somethin' I never even planned on payin' for. It's been happenin' for three months now, and it's really getting on my nerves.
