    I recently had a big problem with a money transfer using Fineco. I tried to send £3200 but Fineco messed up the transaction details, so the recipient's bank took out a 20% withholding tax. Fineco admitted their mistake but didn't fix it, even after many emails. I ended up having to pay the extra costs, losing money in the process. Fineco's lack of help and communication during this whole situation has been really frustrating and disappointing. People should be careful when using their services.

    Opened digital bank account

    I came across some really great reviews about this digital bank and I thought, "Yeah, I should open an account too." But when I tried to log in, I got an error message in the deposit account section. So I decided to call customer service and the person on the phone told me I had to visit a physical branch. I mean, really? I signed up for a digital account precisely to avoid that hassle. It was so frustrating that I ended up closing my account immediately.

    I recently had a bit of a nightmare trying to buy some stocks through this service. I ran into a problem with the ISIN not being updated, so my order got delayed. Even though it was their mistake, they wouldn't own up to it and tried to pin it on the broker. As a customer, I found their lack of accountability really irritating.     Online banking experience

    I wasn't too impressed with the online banking experience, to be honest. The transaction details were quite hard to follow due to the outdated website. It was tricky to figure out which dates were for transactions and which were for currency conversions. Plus, they didn't give a specific balance for each transaction, just the available and book balance, so it was tough to keep track of the actual balance. It's a shame really, as the rest of the service is okay.

    There are two main versions of the credit card available, standard and gold. There is also a third version, but that is only for private clients. The standard card is okay, but it's a shame the annual fee cannot be waived, like many other banks do. As for the gold card, it's not great. Firstly, it's a bit embarrassing that there is only one type of "premium" card. Most banks usually offer at least two options (gold and platinum). Secondly, the insurance policies are really bad. Probably the worst in Italy for a credit card with insurance. Lastly, there is no fast track at the airport or lounge access offered (you have to pay for it straight away). If they can't provide a decent credit card offer, I don't understand why they don't team up with external partners like Nexi.

    I've been a loyal customer of this bank for a good 20 years now, so it was a bit disheartening when I applied for a loan and felt like I was being treated as though I'd never done business with them before. I entered all my details into their loan calculator on their website, even though they already have all my account information right there. Initially, the calculator flagged up a red warning saying I couldn't get the loan. But after tweaking the repayment period, it gave me the green light, saying I ticked all the boxes. So, I went ahead and signed the digital contract, only to receive a rejection two days later, claiming I didn't meet their criteria. It might have been a mistake in the simulator, but they really should have let me know before turning down my loan and labelling me a bad payer. I asked for an explanation and got an email that felt more like a slap on the wrist than a reply. As someone who's been a loyal customer and never been in the red, I'm left wondering if I should have to pay for their errors.

    Easy banking services

    I've been banking with them for about five years now, and honestly, I haven't had any problems at all. I have to admit, they're really helpful, and their app is brilliant - you can do everything from transfers to checking your balance and even block your card if you need to. You can withdraw up to 3000 euros at once,
    and their website is really good too. I have to give them credit for providing such excellent services.

    Reopened account, disappointed with fees

    As someone who's come back to Fineco after two decades, I was really let down to see the bank now charging steep fees for account upkeep, as well as for using ATMs and cards. When you stack them up against newer banks, Fineco seems to be lacking in the security department. What really threw me off was finding out that taking out less than 100 euros costs an extra 0.80 cents. All in all, it seems like Fineco's shifted its focus more towards making money than being a reliable banking buddy.
