Holiday cancellation insurance claim
I had to cancel my holiday last minute because my wife had an accident. When I contacted the company, a really helpful person guided me through the claim process and sent me the paperwork I needed really quickly. I was amazed when my claim got approved just two days after I submitted it and the money was in my account not long after.
Terrible customer service, ended up purchasing elsewhere
I've never had such terrible service from an insurance company before. It took forever for them to reply to my emails, so I had to go with another company in the end because I couldn't wait any longer. Their incompetence messed up my holiday plans - I had to postpone my trip by a month and ended up losing money. When I brought it up with them, they had the nerve to blame their bad communication on external factors. It's just not on. I have to take this matter to the Ombudsman now.
Blue cover, 2k back
Initially, I wasn't sure about getting the blue cover insurance because of the bad reviews I read online. But, about two years ago, I decided to give it a shot and it turned out to be a completely different experience. Ordering was easy peasy and I could choose the coverage I needed without any hassle. The customer service team was super helpful, answering all my questions and giving me support when I needed it. The pricing was fair for what I got, and I thought it was a good deal. And when it came to making a claim, I was pleasantly surprised to get back 2k, which was more than I expected. All in all, I was really happy with my time with the blue cover insurance.
Baggage cover disappointment
The baggage cover provided by Big Blue Travel Cover is really not up to scratch. They say they cover lost or delayed baggage, but when it comes down to it, they have so many limits and hoops to jump through. Instead of helping you, they just keep sending you back to the airline, talking about things like the Montreal protocol. It just makes you wonder, what's the point of offering baggage cover if you always have to deal with the airline in the end? And we all know how much of a hassle it can be to claim baggage from an airline.
Racketeers, avoid, avoid, avoid
This company is really dodgy! They sneakily make you renew without asking and then ignore all your messages. The only way to stop it is to find some hidden link buried in their FAQs. I tried to cancel the renewals but I don't even know if it worked. They deserve to get in trouble for this shady behaviour!
Car insurance excess cover claim
Recently, I had to claim on my car insurance excess cover for the first time in ages. They told me it would take about 8 weeks to sort out, which seemed fair. I sent in all the paperwork and photos they asked for, although it was a bit of a pain to have to name each attachment correctly. A few weeks later, they asked me to send them my credit card statement to prove I paid the car hire company. It was annoying because they wanted the whole statement, not just a screenshot. But once I gave them everything they needed, they told me my claim was approved and sorted within the expected time frame. Overall, I was happy with the process as long as you know what to expect and give them all the info they ask for.
