    Travel insurance policy

    I've just bought travel insurance, and I've got to say, the customer service wasn't up to scratch. They're actually owned by another company, and they were really bad at keeping in touch and providing help. I tried emailing them but got no reply, and it made me feel like they didn't care about me as a customer. It felt like all they cared about was taking my money, rather than giving me any help or support.

    The travel insurance I got was terrible! The customer service was so poor, they couldn't even give me proper answers to my questions. It felt like they were just trying to deceive me into buying from another dodgy company called Reactive Claims. I wouldn't advise either of them to anyone!

    Honeymoon travel insurance

    I'd advise you to be careful when booking with this travel insurance company. Even though we had premium cover, we were really surprised to find out that if there's a travel advisory in place, we wouldn't be covered for cancellation costs. They didn't tell us this clearly when we bought the policy, so it put us in a tough spot when we had to cancel our honeymoon. The company's lack of support and understanding was really disappointing and frustrating. To sum up, our experience with this company was bad and we'd suggest others to be cautious.

    Unresponsive customer service

    I bought a policy from this company not long ago, and I have to say, their customer service is shockingly unresponsive. I've tried to get in touch with them several times about changing my policy, but I haven't heard anything back at all. I even made an official complaint, but they told me I'd have to wait another 4 weeks for a response. It's really disappointing how little they seem to care about communicating with their customers.

    Customer service experience

    I totally agree with what the last reviewer said about the awful customer service at this company. My own experience trying to get hold of them was a nightmare too. I had to wait on hold for a whole hour at 11am, only to be told that their lines were about to close and to try again tomorrow. This is just not on and shows they don't really care about their customers. It's so annoying to waste so much time trying to reach them and getting nowhere.

    Travel insurance for cancelled holiday

    I bought travel insurance for our June 2020 holiday, but had to cancel due to Covid-19. When we tried to contact the company for a refund, there was no response. We emailed and called multiple times but heard nothing back. It's annoying that they took £25 from us and then disappeared when we needed help. I definitely won't use them again and I've told my family and friends to steer clear too.

    Travel insurance horror

    I wanted to tell you about a really bad experience I had with a travel insurance company recently. Basically, I paid them but then couldn't get hold of them when I needed help. I was on hold for ages with no one picking up, which was so annoying. Plus, they wouldn't cover me for any cancellations because of coronavirus. It was a total let down and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

    Cancelled travel insurance

    This company is absolutely useless! I tried to cancel my travel insurance, but I just couldn't get in touch with them at all. I sent four emails, made so many phone calls, and even wrote a letter, but I still haven't heard anything back. They say to use live chat, but surprise surprise - there isn't even one available! Honestly, it's best to avoid this company altogether to avoid any hassle.

    Terrible customer service, ended up purchasing elsewhere

    I've never had such terrible service from an insurance company before. It took forever for them to reply to my emails, so I had to go with another company in the end because I couldn't wait any longer. Their incompetence messed up my holiday plans - I had to postpone my trip by a month and ended up losing money. When I brought it up with them, they had the nerve to blame their bad communication on external factors. It's just not on. I have to take this matter to the Ombudsman now.

    Baggage cover disappointment

    The baggage cover provided by Big Blue Travel Cover is really not up to scratch. They say they cover lost or delayed baggage, but when it comes down to it, they have so many limits and hoops to jump through. Instead of helping you, they just keep sending you back to the airline, talking about things like the Montreal protocol. It just makes you wonder, what's the point of offering baggage cover if you always have to deal with the airline in the end? And we all know how much of a hassle it can be to claim baggage from an airline.

    This company is really dodgy! They sneakily make you renew without asking and then ignore all your messages. The only way to stop it is to find some hidden link buried in their FAQs. I tried to cancel the renewals but I don't even know if it worked. They deserve to get in trouble for this shady behaviour!
