Medical insurance for cancer survivor
My wife and I found this company when we were having a hard time getting insurance for her recovery after cancer. Explorer Travel Insurance not only gave us the insurance we needed, but they also really helped us out every step of the way. We've been sticking with them ever since because they also have policies that cover my business travel.
Annual travel insurance
I really like the Explorer Travel Insurance policy because it clearly tells me what it covers and what it doesn't. The updates they send me regularly make me feel confident about my coverage. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest this insurance provider to my friends and family when they need travel insurance.
COPD travel insurance

I bought a travel insurance policy from this company and, luckily, I haven't needed to claim, but I have to say, I was really disappointed with what came next. I was bombarded with loads of emails from them, it felt like every few days there was a new one in my inbox trying to sell me another policy (even though I already have one) or just sending me things I didn't need. It was just too much and I didn't like it at all. It honestly made me think less of the company, so I won't be buying from them again just because of that.

During my trip, we missed a port because of storm Babette, but Explorer wasted no time in sorting out the payment. Unsatisfactory service
I had a really terrible experience with this company. It's been 18 months now and I'm still struggling to get my claim sorted out. The hospital hasn't even sent a final notice for payment, and when they tried to contact the company, they were met with refusals and excuses about data protection. I can't believe they would use that as an excuse to avoid dealing with legitimate claims. I had to jump through hoops to get important documents like my son's doctor's ER notes just to prove his diagnosis, which should have been provided by the insurance company in the first place. And now, even after all this back and forth, I have a looming deadline before the bill goes to collections. The lack of communication and professionalism from this company is really frustrating and I would suggest anyone thinking of using them to think twice.
Explorer used for Lanzarote trip
I've been with this travel insurance company for ages, but had to stop using them due to Covid. My sister's health isn't great at the moment, so we can't go on trips together anymore. However, for my 80th birthday, my family treated us to a surprise trip to Lanzarote, and we went back to using Explorer for insurance. I haven't had to make a claim yet, so can't really comment on that.
Travel insurance
Will not use them again and will advise my friends accordingly. Refused to pay for additional medicines required when stuck in Spain even though I had taken extra medicine to allow for delays. In my opinion a useless policy.
