Just been on a lovely family holiday to Mallorca. We all did oir antigen tests pre-flight home and m8ne came back Positive. I was absolutely devastated to find out O would need to stay a further 10 days in a Covid hotel and leave my wife and 3 children. I immediately contacted Cedartree emergency line and Matt was absolutely brilliant. He was trying to find alternative hotels, answering all my questions and speaking to the Spanish health authorities for me.
Fortunately my follow up PCR test came back negative so I was able to fly home the next day.
I really cant recommend Cedar tree insurance enough... 5 star service. Thank you

Very interesting,never find before, truly.
I had taken out insurance for my 14 days tours to Madrid.
I lost my camera and lenses or stolen , couldn't judge till the last.
But how nicely Cedar settle my claim, not only that they also made refund of balance period as I returned due to lost my instrument camera.
But thanks dear, you did what you had committed.
If I could have gave this review 0 I would. Make sure you read terms and conditions. They will not pay out for a cancelled holiday . Ever company I've used since last year refunded full amount for government not allowing travel not these. I've lost all my money . Rubbish company , will never deal with them again and I advice other to be careful.
Purchased travel insurance policy via Top Cashback and was happy to pay that little bit more for the policy on the understanding that I would receive cashback from Top Cashback as an incentive. Cedar Tree, I am told by Top Cashback, refused to acknowledge the fact that I had gone through Top Cashback (which I did) and so refused to pay cashback. Very disappointed.
Cedar Tree insurance
I have been with Cedar Tree for around 3 years now, not having to claim until half a year ago when my trip to Mexico was cancelled because of COVID by the airline. The airline only gave an option of a voucher which wasn’t a choice for me as wouldn’t know if I can travel soon, and when the airline goes bust you can’t do anything with it. But Cedar Tree made a point there that I should take the voucher and they won’t refund me even if I can’t travel next year. I have a Travel Disruption cover for situation like this but apparently it doesn’t work in this case. Not sure really when it works. In case of taking a voucher, I wouldn’t be able to seek assistance anywhere else, like my bank, Pay Pal, etc. so thank you for a great advice Cedar Tree. Also, to add to this, The European Commission called it unlawful for only giving voucher option and not a full refund by the airline (quote below), but Cedar Tree still advised to go with that option as they wouldn’t refund me if I was offered a voucher to use it later in the year. (btw, I have it all in emails).
Before Cedar Tree even starts considering your claim, you need to seek refunds yourself with other sources like your credit card, Pay Pal or directly with the company. With my trip, I managed to get better support with Pay Pal, booking.com, and eventually my bank. Cedar Tree response at that time still was that I should get a voucher. I will consider other insurance companies for the next term. And strongly advise if you are thinking of choosing Cedar Tree.
‘The European Commission is now to write a letter to all EU member states reminding them that airlines should be sanctioned if they violate passenger rights – including by refusing to offer refunds. An EU official said: ‘The law is clear. Passengers should be able to choose between a cash refund or other funds of reimbursement such as a voucher.’
Purchased travel insurance with Cedar Tree for a trip to Cuba before being made aware by my travel provider that there is a government approved list of insurers. If your insurer is not on this list your insurance may not be valid in Cuba.
Contacted Cedar Tree before my trip to establish if they were on this list but they had no awareness of any list and could not confirm if my insurance would be accepted by Cuban authorities. Extremely rude and snappy lady on their customer service team who constantly spoke over me and was completely unhelpful. Instead of trying to investigate the issue for me I was told to contact the Cuban embassy myself to find out if my insurance was valid.
Essentially a company who sell travel insurance for Cuba cannot even confirm if their insurance is valid in that country and expect their customers to investigate if it is or not! When I enquired about a refund I was told this was not possible as I should have reviewed the policy and checked it was suitable during the 14 day cooling off period-again expecting their customers to try and establish how dodgy their insurance policy.
total and utter shambles-this company has no clue on how to run its own affairs or to treat its customers with any care or respect!
