    Recent car hire experience

    I recently hired a car for a work trip from Heathrow terminal with Sixt. It wasn't the cheapest option, but being able to pick up the car right at the terminal and having a good experience with Sixt made it worth it for me. The staff were friendly, and both getting the car and dropping it off were easy and hassle-free. The cars were of decent quality too. However, what really stood out was the amazing service I got from the Sixt branch in Milton Keynes. On a cold and wet Monday morning, the team went the extra mile by offering to get a taxi for me, and then ended up giving me a lift to my destination instead. This level of customer service went above and beyond what I expected and really impressed me. Huge thanks to Brad at Sixt MK for his kindness and for showing me that exceptional customer service is still around.

    Since I didn't have a car of my own as at then, besides, even if I had, I had just been posted to a new branch of our company in Scotland where a lot of work was already waiting for me. Public transportation to work was not an option due to obvious reasons. As such, I needed a reliable transport company that I could rent a car for at least 30 days so I could be at work timely enough everyday as required, Sixt was recommended to me and I contacted them after going through their website to see products and services. Thereafter, terms and conditions were met and eventually, I got the car of my choice from Sixt for 30 days, taking me to work everyday. It is surely a good place to check when looking for car hire or rental.

    Renting a car for a long time in Orlando was really easy. The folks there were great and even upgraded me to a BMW for free when my first car wasn't available. And when there was a little issue about extra days at dropoff, Rosanna sorted it out quickly and made sure I was happy before I left.

    After I hired a van from a car rental company in Birmingham, I was shocked that they tried to charge me for damage that was already there, which I had proof of with photos. It's like they either don't know what they're doing or they're trying to scam customers, and that's just not on. I've been a loyal customer, but this has really put me off. And from what I've heard, I'm not the only one who's had problems with this company, which is just awful. I highly recommend that everyone is extra careful and makes sure to document everything before renting from them.

    Rented a car with paid deposit

    I hired a car not long ago and handed over the full deposit, but I still haven't got it back. And to make matters worse, the company went ahead and took another payment without my permission. I've tried reaching out to them several times to get some answers, but I haven't heard anything back. It seems to me like they're up to no good and trying to pull a fast one.

    My time with the company was really disappointing. I made sure to look after the rental car, but then they wrongly accused me of causing damage and hit me with huge fines. I even showed them photos proving the car was fine, but they wouldn't listen and still wanted to charge me.

    Denied rental after license check

    I had a really bad time with a car rental company. I went to collect my rental at their branch in London Victoria, but they refused to give me a vehicle after checking my license. Even though I had a valid driver's license and had been a loyal customer for 15 years, I was left stuck without a car. The staff were not helpful at all and didn't give me a clear reason or solution. It was so frustrating and they acted very unprofessionally. I contacted customer service for help, but they didn't assist in sorting out the problem. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone who needs a reliable car rental service.

    Car rental charged for pre-existing damage

    I hired a car from a specific car rental company in Lisbon, Portugal not long ago. I was wrongly charged for damage that was already there before I even got the car. This whole situation has really let me down and made me feel unhappy. I think it's unfair for customers to have to pay for damage that wasn't their fault. It's best to steer clear of this car rental company to avoid having the same problem.

    I was absolutely gobsmacked by how unprofessional that company was. I left the car at Heathrow and did exactly what the bloke at the hotel told me to do, only to get these really pushy letters saying I hadn't brought the car back. Thank the heavens I had proof to show them they were bang out of order, but still, it was a right pain in the neck that I shouldn't have had to worry about. And to top it all off, getting a fine notice while I was thousands of miles away was just the final nail in the coffin.

    Car hire experience in Edinburgh

    I recently used a car hire service in Edinburgh and had a really frustrating experience. I had a valid reason for not filling the car with petrol when I returned it, but the company still charged me £170 unfairly. They even added an extra fee for the Premium Location, which was just unnecessary. On top of that, the customer service agents I spoke to were rude and unhelpful, making the whole situation even worse. As someone who knows what good customer service looks like, I was really disappointed by the lack of transparency, fairness, and respect in this case.

    I recently hired a car for my holiday, and I have to say I was really impressed at first with the customer service and the quality of the vehicles provided by this company. The staff were so helpful, and the cars were all in great condition which is why I have suggested this company to friends and family before. However, things went downhill quickly when I got hit with a crazy charge for a tiny chip on the windscreen. The company tried to charge me so much without a good reason, even though the damage was not my fault. I've made a complaint, but if the head office doesn't sort this out, I'll have no choice but to take legal action. It's so disappointing to see a company I used to trust acting in this unscrupulous way.

    My recent experience renting a car was really disappointing. I needed a temporary replacement after selling my own vehicle, so I decided to give them a go. At first, it seemed like a good deal, but I ran into a few problems. Firstly, there were some small scratches and marks on the car, so I made sure to take photos and videos, like I always do. When I handed back the car, the whole process felt rushed and strange. The staff member just grabbed the keys and didn't even check the car with me, which definitely raised some concerns. Later on, I got emails saying there was new damage on the car, but it was actually the same wear and tear that I had already documented. Luckily, I had proof to show them, so I could challenge any unfair charges they might have tried to slap me with.

    Online car reservation

    I recently booked a car online for collection and was really disappointed with how things turned out. When I got to the pick-up spot, they told me I couldn't have the car I booked because my driver's license and credit card postcodes didn't match up. So, there I was, stuck at the airport at 6 pm on a Thursday evening with no wheels. When I tried to get help from customer service, they were pretty unhelpful and a bit aggressive. They insisted I needed a French driver's license, which isn't true unless you meet certain conditions. I was also surprised to find out that just because you book online, it doesn't mean you'll actually get a car. Plus, they were happy to hang onto my booking fee even though they didn't provide the service. All in all, my experience with this lot was frustrating and I won't be using them again.
