    Car rental service

    I've been a loyal customer of this car rental service for over ten years now, and on the whole, I've been pretty happy with how easy and convenient it is to use. But, I've noticed a problem lately - there just aren't as many cars available in my area as there used to be. Take for example the Honda HRV, a popular SUV that I used to rent a lot - it's suddenly gone from the fleet, and I haven't been given any explanation why. It would be really helpful for customers like me to get updates or alerts about changes in vehicle availability, so we can plan our bookings better. And it would be great to have more SUV choices too. That being said, I've got to give credit where it's due - the company's service has always been reliable and efficient.

    To me, Zipcar is a solution to mobility problems. It shows one must not own a car before he can have some nice times cruising around with any car of his choice. Most interesting is the fact that Zipcar offers their services in a more special way than others? How? At Zipcar, I have had opportunities renting a car on subscription bases such as daily, monthly or annually which is not common or obtainable with other service providers. In addition to this, the company operates on prices I would call low especially when compared to others and I find that interesting. Also available are free gas, road assistance, secondary insurance and more which I have enjoyed. With all these, why should I stop doing business with Zipcar? It's definitely a good place for me.

    Zipcar experience

    I tried out the car-sharing service not so long ago and I must say, the pickup spot was really great. It was tidy, secure, and the car was right there where they promised it would be. The whole pickup and dropoff procedures were quick and smooth. The car was spotless and had a full tank of petrol, which was a nice surprise. It would be brilliant if they could think about adding a mini-van to their range in the future.

    Unfair reservation change

    The company's behaviour was just awful and not on, to be honest. I'd booked a car ages ago for a two-day trip, only to find out a few days before that they'd switched me to a smaller car without even telling me why. And then to make matters worse, someone else was given part of my booking slot, which caused a lot of hassle. This kind of dodgy behaviour is just not on, and it really doesn't make the company look good at all.

    I hired a van not long ago and it was a nightmare dealing with their customer service. I brought back the van when I was supposed to and it was in good shape, but then a week later they suspended my account for apparently using the fuel card for extra stuff. I showed them proof that I wasn't even close to where the transactions happened, but they didn't want to believe me and kept asking for payment. It was really disheartening and annoying to not have their trust and support. I've been a loyal customer for ages, but it seems like that doesn't count for anything to them.

    Renting a Zipcar

    I hired a car from this company not long ago and I made sure to check if it was okay to take through the tunnel. Even though I specifically asked the agent to double-check that the vehicle was compliant, I ended up getting a fine two weeks later due to the car being too heavy for the tunnel. This just goes to show that the company doesn't really listen to their customers and doesn't take responsibility for giving out wrong information.

    My experience with vehicle rentals has been less than satisfactory, to say the least. I've had a few incidents where the cars provided were not up to scratch. Once, I had to endure a strong smell of weed in the car, which was really unpleasant and made the whole journey pretty awful. The smell just wouldn't go away, even though I didn't spend much time in the vehicle itself. Then, there was a time when I had an accident while using a rental car. It wasn't my fault, and I wasn't even given a ticket, but they still suspended my account while they looked into things. This left me stuck in a different city, in a lot of pain from the crash, without a way to return the vehicle. The lack of care and understanding shown in that situation was really disappointing, especially since I'm a premium member with extra insurance coverage.

    High membership fee, inability to rent cars.

    It's absolutely ridiculous that I have to fork out such a high membership fee when I can't even get my hands on a rental car when I need it. I've attempted to rent a car five times this year, and on every single occasion, there were none available. What's the actual point of shelling out for a membership if I can't even make use of the service? When I phoned up to cancel, they were still insistent about me paying the fee and even went as far as to threaten sending it to collections if I didn't. Their service is just horrendous.

    Van rental for flat move

    I recently booked a van through an online vehicle rental service for my flat move. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience that left me feeling utterly frustrated and let down. The night before my scheduled booking, I received an email stating that my reservation was cancelled with only 4 hours notice and no alternative options were provided. This lack of communication and last-minute cancellation put me in a difficult position, especially during the stressful time of moving house. Overall, the experience was highly disappointing, and I would caution others to avoid using this service and instead explore alternative options.

    I was really looking forward to hiring a car for my trip to San Francisco, but you won't believe what happened! At the last minute, I got an email saying the car hire had been cancelled with no warning at all. I was absolutely livid. I tried calling their customer service, but of course, no one answered. I even tried to get some sort of compensation or explanation, but Zipcar couldn't have cared less. This isn't the first time they've messed up - there always seems to be some issue with their cars, and their customer support is practically non-existent.

    The membership experience was pretty disappointing to be honest. The service itself was fine, but the cost per mile was way too high, making it really expensive. I ended up forking out £360 for just a 3-day rental, which felt like a rip-off. And to make matters worse, my account suddenly got suspended, and they demanded loads of personal info like my passport, bank details, and even utility bills. It felt like an invasion of privacy, especially since I'd been a member for ten whole years. Trying to get help from their customer service was a nightmare - they were as useless as an umbrella in a tornado.
