Frozen food order
My frozen food order from this store was a real let down. Lots of the items I wanted weren't available and to top it off, some things were missing from the delivery. I was so annoyed by the lack of care and bad service. You shouldn't be getting an incomplete order, especially when it comes to groceries.
Online shopping issue
I gave head office a ring two years ago to sort out my late wife's email problem, but they ended up adding my email instead. Everything was fine until recently when I tried to sign in and the verification went to my late wife's email. I called head office again, but still haven't had it sorted. So now I'll have to shop somewhere else.
Frozen food, checkout, shelf stackers
I went to the frozen food store and everything seemed fine, but when I got to the checkout, it took ages for someone to serve me. Some of the checkout staff were friendly, but others were quite immature. Also, the shelf stackers were so impolite, shouting at each other and blocking the aisles while I was trying to shop. It felt like the management didn't bother much with keeping the store presentable. It was quite frustrating, so next time I think I'd rather walk three minutes to Sainsbury's!
Recent purchase experience
I had a bit of a rough time with the online supermarket delivery service recently. One of the drivers gave me a bad experience which made me wary of ordering again. But then, another driver called Andrew from County Road Liverpool totally changed my mind. He was really nice and gave top-notch customer service, even though he had to deliver all the way up to the 14th floor. It's moments like these that bring back good memories of the company when they first started in Liverpool years ago.
Scratch card trouble
I went to Iceland to cash in some scratch cards, but the cashier refused to do it. I ended up having to call the lottery helpline for help, and it was a really disappointing experience.
Grocery shopping from an online retailer
I can't praise my experience with this online grocery retailer enough. When the pandemic hit and I needed a dependable delivery service, this retailer really came through for me. To sum up, I can say with confidence that this is a trustworthy and reliable company that I will definitely keep using.
Crispy chicken balls purchase
I bought a pack of crispy chicken balls because the label said they were made of 100% chicken breast fillet. But when I cooked them and had a taste, I was really let down by how tough and dry the chicken was. I then checked the ingredients properly and saw that the chicken content was only 57%, which made me feel misled by the false advertising. It's worrying that something can be labelled as 100% chicken when it's actually only 57% chicken. This kind of misleading advertising is not right and it has made me see the product in a negative light.
Online grocery order missing items
I had a really disappointing experience with an online grocery order recently. I was unwell after placing the order and couldn't be there for the delivery, so my husband - who's visually impaired - received it instead. When we checked the items we'd received, we realised that quite a few important things were missing. The trifles, jersey potatoes, Lurpak, pork chops, steak, beef burgers, and salad that should have been in the delivery were nowhere to be seen.
Weekly online shopping
I had a really frustrating experience with the home delivery service recently. The delivery driver only rang the doorbell once, which was broken, and then drove off without trying to knock on the door. This meant I didn't even know my groceries had arrived, my dog didn't hear anything either. I called the store right away, and they said the driver would come back to redeliver, but that never happened. Not only that, but I also had issues with a refund I was owed, it wasn't the full amount and the customer service rep I spoke to was unhelpful about letting me talk to a manager. As a regular online shopper with this retailer, this level of service is not okay and I'm really disappointed. I've decided to take my business elsewhere now, I'll be going to a different supermarket chain for my weekly groceries. This whole thing has really frustrated me and made me lose trust in this retailer.
Online grocery order
I just ordered some groceries online and the delivery was done by a really nice chap called Les. He brought the order right to my door and checked if I had everything I needed. I got a bunch of stuff like apples, oranges, and bananas. The delivery was quick and the prices were good, it came the very next day. I'm really pleased with the service and would definitely recommend this supermarket to others.
Mouldy tortilla wraps
I recently bought some tortilla wraps from a shop, but when I opened them, they were all mouldy even though the expiry date hadn't passed yet. What a letdown! I was really looking forward to enjoying some delicious wraps, but ended up having to throw them away. The packaging was all sealed up perfectly, so I'm confused about how they could have gone off so quickly. I double-checked the best before date and it was still good for a few more days! Not sure if it was just a dodgy batch or what, but I was really disappointed. I even took some photos as evidence in case you think I'm making it up.
Caribbean Rum and Coconut Drink
I don't drink often, but I thought I'd give this Caribbean Rum and Coconut Drink a go on a whim when I was out shopping the other day. I was pleasantly surprised to find it really tasty and refreshing, plus it only cost £7. It's a nice change from my usual Bacardi, so I'd definitely suggest it to anyone wanting to try something new.
Online purchase experience
I recently had an online shopping experience that really disappointed me. Basically, when I went to check out, I got hit with a big pop-up trying to get me to claim cashback from a certain company. I was curious, so I put in my bank details to sign up for it. But it turns out, it was a scam - they were taking £15 off me every month and not giving anything back. When I tried to cancel and get my money back, the customer service denied it and gave me wrong information. It was only when I showed them proof from the website that they finally admitted they were working with this dodgy company. It's made me feel tricked and annoyed, and it's definitely put me off shopping online with Iceland.
Late and cancelled delivery
I was really looking forward to receiving my treats after ordering online for delivery between 7 and 9pm. However, the delivery didn't arrive, and to make matters worse, the driver called to say they couldn't bring it! Frustrated, I contacted customer services the next day to cancel my order as I didn't want my items left out all night. Shockingly, they mentioned it could take up to 14 days for a refund, which I found disappointing. Consequently, I've decided never to order from them again.
Paid for delivery, missing items and off meat
I ordered some stuff online and paid for delivery. But when my order came, I found out that some things were missing. And the meat that did arrive was off and stank. I got in touch with customer service to tell them what happened and ask for the missing items to be sent to me, and to find out why the meat was bad. But I haven't heard back from them yet. The missing items were important because I needed them to pack snacks and lunch for my daughter. Now I have to figure something else out and spend more money to replace them. It's really inconvenient and not okay.
Fish and meat purchases
I've been a loyal customer of this grocery retailer for years and I've always been really impressed with the quality and service they provide. Despite some negative reviews I've seen, my own experiences have been nothing but positive. The delivery service is efficient and they're always on time, which means I can save both time and money by avoiding a trip to the store. They have a wide range of products available, with great offers and deals on a regular basis. I especially love their cod loin, sea bass, and steak pie as they're top-notch compared to other supermarkets. The delivery drivers are always really polite and helpful, which makes the whole experience pleasant and convenient. I can't praise this retailer enough and I think they should definitely be recognised for their exceptional service all these years.
Two bags of iceberg lettuce
I bought two bags of iceberg lettuce from that place recently and I discovered they were both due to expire by Tuesday. It looks like they're trying to offload items that won't sell. Even after I raised the issue, it seems to be a common occurrence with various products. I've decided to stop purchasing bread from there and will avoid buying lettuce in the future. With their low-quality products and disregard for customer feedback, I'm thinking about closing my account and finding a new supermarket.
Spoiled milk purchase
I had a terrible experience buying spoiled milk. The milk was off and had lumps in it, which was not just gross but possibly dangerous. I called to complain and got passed around to three different people who were not helpful at all. After sending an email about my bad experience, I was contacted again, but only to ask for the same information I had already given. There was no explanation or real apology provided. It felt like they were trying to ignore the problem and say it wasn't their fault. They didn't offer a refund or replacement, which left me feeling annoyed and ignored. I have all the emails as proof of these disappointing interactions if anyone at the store wants to see.
Online grocery order
I'm a disabled customer and not long ago I ordered groceries online. The delivery driver just dumped my shopping on my doorstep without care, and some Coke cans ended up leaking all over the place. I tried phoning the shop a few times that day, but no one picked up. I also sent emails complaining, but got no response. Now my shopping is still outside my door, just left there. This isn't the first time I've had problems with this shop, and I won't be using them again.
