Bespoke table purchase
I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the amazing service we received from this company. A while back, we ordered a custom-made table from them, knowing that we would have to wait around 3 months for it. But let me tell you, the wait was absolutely worth it! We finally have this beautiful gold-plated table in our home, and it has definitely become a firm favourite with everyone in the family. So, I just wanted to express our gratitude for the top-notch craftsmanship and fantastic service you provided us with. Thanks a million!
Vintage industrial style table
I recently bought a vintage industrial style table from this company and I have to say I am really impressed with their service. I had been looking for a table that matched my specific style for a while, so I reached out to them and explained what I wanted. Within a couple of days, they got back to me with a few options that suited my preferences. I was able to easily order the one I liked best and it was delivered to me quickly. The table is of really good quality and it looks great in my home. I am so pleased with my purchase.
3-piece sofa
I have to say, buying that 3-piece sofa was such a great decision. It all went smoothly, from ordering online to getting it set up in my living room. Joshua, the delivery and assembly guy, was brilliant. He paid attention to every detail and was really friendly. The whole experience was made even better because of him. I'll definitely be getting more furniture from this place in the future - the quality and service are both excellent.
Table
I recently bought a table from this company and it arrived damaged. But, their customer service team was really impressive. I got in touch with them right away and they were so friendly and helpful. They sorted out a replacement table for me, which was delivered within 3 weeks. Even though there was a bit of a problem at the start, I would definitely shop with them again and would highly recommend their products and service.
Expensive scooter cocktail bar purchase
I recently bought an expensive scooter cocktail bar from this company, but the whole thing was quite disappointing, to be honest. First of all, it took absolutely ages for the item to actually get to us, even though they already had our money. And when it finally did arrive, it was damaged. The quality wasn't what we expected at all, and it was pretty obvious that whoever delivered it didn't handle it with care. On top of that, their communication was terrible and they were so slow in sending us the parts we needed to fix it ourselves. All in all, the customer service we got was really poor, and we were just really disappointed with the whole thing, to be honest.
Table and Chairs
I bought this table that was really good - very sturdy and well put together, and it turned up when it was supposed to. But the chairs I also bought never showed up. I've tried reaching out to the company over email and phone calls but haven't heard anything back from them. It's really frustrating that their customer service has been so unhelpful. I've ended up losing money and I'm hoping that by leaving this review, they'll finally get in touch.
Chair purchase
I bought a chair from this company not long ago and ran into a problem with my order. But let me tell you, the customer service I got from Emma was absolutely top-notch. She got back to me quickly and sorted out my issue in such a professional and friendly way. I was really impressed with the level of service and it's made me certain that I'll be ordering from them again in the future.
Furniture purchase
I had a great time at the furniture store. The staff were really friendly and knew their stuff, they helped me pick out the perfect pieces that suited my budget and style. I was amazed by all the different styles they had and the quality of the furniture was top-notch. I definitely suggest popping into the store yourself for all your furniture needs.
Rabbit
I got my rabbit today its great thanks, bunny no 2 on the way in 2 weeks they said as they sold a lot due to tv show. happy to wait from the official suppliers, they are very good at communication Roger is fab at Smithers xxx
Sofa and Loveseat purchase
I am really impressed with the quality of the sofa and loveseat I bought. The design is lovely and the furniture is so comfortable. I just love the attention to detail and craftsmanship that went into making them.
Sitting Bulldog figurine
I bought a Sitting Bulldog figurine on 31st December 2023 from this store. When I got my order, they sent me the wrong item. I had to talk to Nick from customer service multiple times to fix the problem and send back the wrong item. Even after contacting them twice, I still haven't received my refund. Considering how much I paid for the figurine, I thought the customer service would be better. Sadly, I was very let down by the whole experience as the service was bad from the beginning and didn't meet my expectations.
Out of stock item
I bought something from this company's website but turns out they didn't actually have it available. Waited for three weeks and still nothing, just empty promises. They were nice in their emails but overall, it was a letdown and very annoying.
Quick delivery
I recently ordered a piece of furniture that was out of stock, and it took longer than I had hoped to arrive. I ended up having to send two emails after waiting for a week and a half to chase up my order, but I only received vague responses. In the end, I had to contact my bank to file a chargeback to get my money back. The customer service I received was really poor, and I even got a really rude email from them where they tried to blame me for the mistakes they made. I found their behaviour completely unacceptable.
Broken clock
I bought a clock from Smithers of Stamford and it arrived in mid-January, unfortunately it didn't work. I've sent several emails to their customer service asking for a refund, but I still haven't received one. I'm really disappointed with both the service and the quality of the product.
High-value item
Although I wanted to trust the company, my experience has been really disappointing. I spent a lot of money on a big purchase, but then I had to cancel my order in a hurry. The problem was, when I tried to get in touch with the company about cancelling, I didn't hear back from them at all. They didn't respond to any of my emails or messages. I felt really frustrated and ignored, without my items or the refund I was owed. The way they treated me was so bad, it has put me off from ever dealing with them again.
Fantastic service although sofa took a while
Fantastic service from Smithers ! Although our sofa took a while to arrive, which we knew about from the beginning, we are so pleased with it. We have it In green, the colour and quality is just great.
