    When my 18-month contract with Gigaclear came to an end, I found myself facing another price increase. Even though I was on the basic speed plan, the costs just kept going up. I decided to get in touch with their customer service to talk about my options, and luckily, the representative I spoke to was helpful. I managed to negotiate a £5 reduction in my monthly bill, which was a small win. Despite the fact that the prices are still quite high, I was glad to have at least made some progress in bringing them down a bit. Gigaclear has been pretty reliable overall, with no major outages, and I've consistently received the speeds they promised. However, it would be great for loyal customers like myself to be offered more competitive rates, similar to the deals they give to new customers. This seems to be a common issue across the board with service providers, doesn't it?

    I recently got myself a new wallet because my old one was on its way out. The new one is an improvement, but it's not exactly perfect.     So, I was trying to book flight tickets to Costa Rica, you know? I went on this website to buy them. But then, after I put in all my details, it said there was a problem with the payment and told me to give them a call. So, I called them, and they assured me that everything was sorted and that they would send me my flight details in an email. But, would you believe it? I never received that email! Later on, they rang me, saying that the seats I wanted had all been taken and tried to persuade me to pay extra for different seats. How rude is that? In the end, I managed to find the same tickets but at a cheaper price elsewhere. Globehunters, that's not cool. Not cool at all.

    I had a bit of a nightmare with my energy supplier recently. I had this feeling like they were trying to pull a fast one on me by adding on these extra transmission and distribution fees over the festive season. Even though I was using a pretty average amount of gas and electricity, my bill shot up thanks to these cheeky extra charges. So, I decided to give them a call to find out what was going on, and they came out with this vague excuse about pipeline works and maintenance – which I wasn't buying.

    After speaking to a few other companies, it became clear that I was definitely being ripped off. On top of that, Direct Energy decided to scrap budget billing for households on low incomes and move everyone onto this "Average Billing" scheme which definitely seemed more beneficial to them than us customers. Luckily, I made the switch to a different supplier and I'm pleased to see that they've got much fairer billing practices and charges.

    I recently had a bit of a let-down with a certain airport transfer booking service. I used to use this platform all the time for getting taxis, but after the last time, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I booked a taxi from Heathrow Airport Terminal to SO167DN and, to my surprise, I was given a compact SUV instead of the larger car size I needed for my luggage.     I have been using this internet service from Smarty for a while and I have to say, it's been pretty smooth sailing since I started.     I bought some running shoes from an online shop recently and honestly, I was pretty let down by the whole thing. It felt like forever for the shoes to turn up, and on top of that, I got hit with some unexpected customs charges that no one warned me about.     Just had a landlord service visit on my boiler. After turning up late after chasing them, the engineer arrived with a dodgy excuse.
    8 minutes later he was finished. This included a cp12 check and a top up of inhibitor for £25, there is no way this work was able to be carried out this quick.

    I have bad feelings about this company...

    Got another property being serviced next week... Let's see if I get another poor service visit.
    Think again before signing up to them, I will be cancelling
