Hiking gear purchase
At first, I wasn't too sure about ordering from this store because of some issues I'd heard about with deliveries and customer service. But I was actually really happy when my order arrived on time and the customer service was really helpful. So now I'm thinking I'll definitely shop here again because they have some great deals.
Climbing gear purchase
I ordered some climbing gear from this website thinking it was a UK business, but it turns out they ship from Germany! Also, the prices they show don't even include VAT, so I was surprised by the final cost at checkout. Additionally, they dispatch your items right away, so there's no opportunity to change your mind. On the positive side, my gear arrived faster than I expected and was in excellent condition. It wasn't as terrible as I had anticipated!
Sleeping bag and hiking boots
I've been a regular customer at this place for ages and they are always really quick with sending out my stuff. The staff there are so friendly and helpful. The one small suggestion I have is that they could maybe consider using smaller boxes for smaller items. For example, my sleeping bag and hiking boots could easily have fit into a smaller box than the one they were sent in.
Rope purchase
I recently bought a rope from this website and I have to say, I wasn't very happy with how it all went down. First off, they didn't let me know anywhere on the site or at checkout that there were shipping delays. It was only after they took the money from my account and sent me a confirmation email that I found out. And would you believe it, it took a whole 4 days just for them to ship the item, then another 12 days for it to finally show up at my door. And get this, the rope I got was a whopping 8 years old! I get that it was on sale, but seriously, they should've let me know how old it was. And the price wasn't even that cheap for such an ancient item. Let's just say, I'm really not happy with how it all turned out.
Walking shoes well if they arrive
My first order and certainly my last. Very un-Germanic systems and service. My account does not show my order but apparently this happens on the first order??? No tracking details sent but my fault for changing my email address - i didn't & why would I?. They use the dreaded Herpes, sorry now EVRI so delivery is sloooooow and possibly never. Should have options to pay for a real courier service like DPD.
Carhartt T Shirts
I ordered 2 x T Shirts for my partner's birthday on the 3rd of April 2022 - over a month later...My order was undelivered and lost by Evri(Hermes) who are pathetic and I still don't have my refund from Alphinetrek.
If you are based in the UK don't order from these guys, its a waste of time and money. Their support team is mediocre at best (They didn't seem at all concerned or apologetic) I've exchanged about 10 plus emails with them about my lost parcel and I'm currently waiting of my refund to reflect in my account.
