Don't let the flashy ads and fancy designs deceive you, this company is a total scam! I got a table from them that fell to pieces after just 4 months, and now they've vanished into thin air. I feel so ripped off and wouldn't advise anyone to purchase anything from them.
Nilamu Wide Bookcase & Henry Sideboard
I recently bought the Nilamu Wide Bookcase and Henry Sideboard from this company. The Bookcase had some black stains on it, but I managed to remove them myself. Unfortunately, the Henry Sideboard arrived with 3 noticeable defects after waiting 1-2 months for its production and delivery. Vivense quickly agreed to replace the defective parts, which was a relief. Overall, I thought the pricing was fair and the after-sales support was excellent - they even offered free assembly. Despite the initial problems, I was happy with the end products and would definitely think about buying from them again in the future.
Faulty wardrobe purchase
I'm really frustrated because I bought a wardrobe from this company and it's been a nightmare. The wardrobes came damaged, so they sent replacement parts. But after waiting 6 weeks for them, they were also damaged. They sent another replacement, which took another 6 weeks, and surprise surprise, it was also damaged. They said they'd send a third replacement, but after waiting 6 more weeks, they cancelled it and haven't replied for 2 months. I asked for a refund, but they said no. Now I'm stuck with these damaged wardrobes and no solution in sight. It's so shocking and ridiculous. Don't be tempted by their cheap prices and nice pictures.
Wardrobes purchase
I bought some wardrobes back in late September and it's been more than three months now, still no sign of them being delivered. Originally they were supposed to arrive by the end of October, but when I asked about the delay, I just got a bunch of excuses and then was told my order got cancelled on the way. Since then, I've been emailing customer service like crazy but all I get back are occasional apologies for taking so long to give me my refund. I even mentioned going to the financial ombudsman at one point, but things still aren't sorted out.
Dream wardrobe purchase
I splashed out on my ideal wardrobe, only to have one of the packages turn up all battered. I got in touch with the company, and after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, they proposed a £60 discount. I sat tight for my carpenter to assemble the wardrobe, but ended up twiddling my thumbs for months waiting for the stuff to show up. After heaps of emails left unanswered, I finally got around to using my voucher to buy the items, only to discover they were all sold out. I'm still waiting for some sort of solution or even just a message from them.
Hall Tree purchase
I bought a Hall Tree from the website recently and thought it looked great in the photos. But I was pretty gutted when it arrived because the mirror was all cracked and the screws didn't fit the holes like they were supposed to. I tried to get in touch with customer support but couldn't find a support button on the site, so I ended up having to send an email. It's been two weeks now and I still haven't heard back about the damaged item or the wrong screws.
Wardrobe purchase from a furniture retailer
I bought a wardrobe from a furniture shop not long ago, and it came with quite a few damaged parts. I tried to get in touch with customer service to sort it out, but it was impossible to reach them directly. It was really annoying having to go through the shop I bought it from, only to be sent to the company's customer service.
Awful quality product
The assembly service I got was really good, the person doing it was very careful and considerate, especially because I have a young child. But, the product itself was really bad quality. I can forgive most of the problems, but one part is putting my child's safety at risk, so I've asked for a replacement.
Furniture items
I bought a few pieces of furniture from this company recently, and I have to say, I'm really impressed. They have a great selection of products, and the prices are very competitive. The quality of the items was even better than I expected, which was a nice surprise for an online purchase. I did have a small issue with one of the parts being damaged, but the customer service was quick to help and organised a replacement. The delivery went smoothly, and the delivery company kept in touch to make sure it was at a convenient time for me. All in all, I've had a good experience with this company, and I'll definitely be shopping with them again in the future.
TV unit purchase
The delivery took longer than expected, just as it was mentioned on the website. When the product finally arrived, I noticed that the box had some slight damage, but luckily the contents were fine. However, I was quite disappointed with the quality of the TV unit itself. Even though I am experienced in DIY, putting it together was quite a challenge due to parts being labelled incorrectly, unclear instructions, and no pilot holes for the many screws. Trying to align the pieces was tough and resulted in some damage to the components. On top of that, I had to trim down the dowels to get them to fit properly. Although the finished piece looks okay, the whole construction process was far from satisfactory.
New couch
I bought a new sofa from them recently and it's incredibly comfy! The instructions were in a different language but they sorted it out for me straight away. It really looks great in my living room!
Furniture and home decor items
I've bought stuff from this company which used to be pretty good value for money in the past, but lately, their service has gone downhill. There have been loads of complaints recently about orders being cancelled without even letting us know, and they're being really vague about giving back our money. I've tried getting in touch with them to find out what's going on, but they're not giving me a straight answer on when I'll get my refund. It didn't help when they shut down their shops in Richmond and Borough - it just made things even more confusing. Looks like I might just have to accept that I've lost my money because it doesn't seem like I'll be getting it back from them.
Geo side cupboard purchase
I went ahead and bought the Geo side cupboard a few months back, despite hearing a lot of negative reviews. I wasn't expecting top-notch quality, but when it arrived, I was pretty disappointed. The doors had a painted pattern that looked way too shiny and made the whole thing seem cheap. I had hoped for more, to be honest. Dealing with the customer service for returns wasn't the quickest, but they turned out to be really helpful and nice. In the end, I got my refund, so that's something. The Geo side cupboard could have been great, but it just didn't live up to expectations in the end.
New bed frame
Well, I was really looking forward to getting my new bed frame and setting it up in my room. But when the delivery guy arrived, he was really rude and didn't even offer to help me bring it inside. To make matters worse, when I opened the box, I found that one of the pieces was missing! I had to wait ages for them to send me a replacement. Dealing with them was such a headache, I wouldn't advise anyone to go through the same ordeal.
TV unit purchase
I bought a TV stand and it did come a bit later than I thought, but they kept me updated throughout so I didn't mind too much. The delivery went really well and Erdem, who put it together, was great - really professional and nice. All in all, I'm happy with the service and I'll definitely use them again next time I need something.
Wardrobe purchase
The wardrobe I bought ended up being a bit of a letdown. Sure, it was pretty sturdy, but there were loads of problems that made putting it together a nightmare. To start with, they sent the wrong instructions, which just confused things and slowed me down. Then, as I was putting it together, I noticed some damage and most of the hinges didn't have pre-drilled holes, so it was a struggle to get the doors on. The parts weren't labelled properly and some weren't labelled at all, so that was a headache to figure out. Plus, all the screws and bits were just chucked into one messy bag, making it even more frustrating. In the end, it took me a ridiculous 9 hours to assemble it, when I was expecting to have it done in 2 hours like similar wardrobes from other companies. It was just a really disappointing experience, to be honest.
Wardrobe purchase
I bought a wardrobe from this shop not long ago and, unfortunately, when it arrived the mirrors were all smashed. Luckily, everything else was fine. The customer service folks were really helpful and said they'd sort out the broken mirrors without any fuss. The instructions for putting it together were a bit confusing because they were different inside the box to what was online, but actually building the wardrobe was pretty easy. All in all, I was happy with the quality of the wardrobe and how quickly the customer service team dealt with the issue.
Coffee table purchase delayed and defective
My experience with this company has been a total nightmare. I ordered a coffee table from them and had to wait an agonising 8 weeks for it to arrive. When it finally did, I discovered an issue with the top of the table. I contacted customer service and they promised to send a replacement, but it never arrived. They claimed to have sent another one, but when I asked for tracking details, they stopped responding to me. I've tried following up multiple times, asking for a refund, but haven't heard anything back. With reports of their physical stores shutting down, I'm really worried I won't hear from them again. I strongly recommend that others stay away from this company and avoid them at all costs.
Furniture order
I wasn't too sure about ordering from this shop at first because of some iffy reviews, but I thought I'd drop customer service an email just to check if they had the stuff I wanted in stock. They got back to me pretty quickly, saying everything was available, so I went ahead and made the order. Luckily, the furniture turned up a few days later, all nicely wrapped up and in perfect condition. They'd even thrown in all the bits and bobs I needed. I haven't put the legs on yet, but I reckon it should all go together fine when I do.
Larder, Chandelier, Table, Statue, Drawer Unit
I ordered several items from this company as they had lovely items at very reasonable prices. Unfortunately, I’ve had nothing but trouble from the start! I didn’t mind the waiting for months for delivery, but once I got the items I quickly realised that the quality was dreadful. Now, I don’t mind flat packed furniture but the drawer unit was covered in thick dust, the drawer fronts didn’t fit properly, the wrong feet were sent, no instructions, there was a lot of damage. The only way to contact customer services was an email, no phone number, but I have to say CS replied very quickly and offered to replace the damaged parts. All well and good but would take 6-8 weeks to arrive! Not what you want when you’re surrounded by bits of flat pack! Now they have cancelled the last of my order after being told it had left the manufacturers and was on its was to me. No notification that it had been cancelled, I only realised once I’d checked the tracking online after waiting weeks. I’ve contacted CS and had a speedy reply, but no offer of an explanation why it’s been cancelled and although a refund has been promised, they haven’t given me one, nor will they confirm when I should expect it. I don’t expect to get one otherwise they would have issued a refund when they cancelled the order weeks ago. I see now that they are no longer taking orders so I guess they’ve taken people money and ran with it!
