    I've just bought this Home Emergency Assist thing and it turned out that the engineer found some problems that weren't included in the service. When I tried to complain about it, I felt like they were just shrugging me off. I'm definitely not renewing it next year.

    Cancellation of home emergency insurance policy

    I've just had a bit of bother with my home emergency insurance policy that I got through a third-party company. Even though I cancelled the policy within the 14-day cooling-off period, I got a letter from the finance company saying I still needed to pay. But that wasn't right, because I'd already sorted out the cancellation with the insurance provider. The fact that the two companies weren't talking properly was pretty annoying and it stressed me out for no reason. I'm going to keep pushing to get this sorted out quickly and correctly.

However, there was one issue that stopped me from giving a full 5-star rating. Even though I asked for the cover to start in two weeks, the payment was taken straight away.
