App with multiple options
I wasn't sure about buying an app that promised so much, but I have to say, this one really impressed me. It's super easy to use and there are so many apps to choose from. The customer service is amazing - they really care about their customers and go the extra mile to help. I asked for help and the support I got was outstanding. Essential Mac productivity tools
I'm a big fan of using Mac and I heavily depend on Setapp for a variety of tools. Whether I'm working on documents, cleaning up my Mac, or improving my touchpad experience, Setapp has a solution for everything. Ulysses is my top choice for writing, CleanMyMac keeps my system running smoothly, BetterTouchTool adds extra features to my touchpad, and Flume makes handling my Instagram account a piece of cake. There's a wide selection of applications available, and I've only just started to explore what Setapp can do. The convenience of having all these tools in one place is incredibly useful for Mac users.
Subscription to an app bundle
I've been using this app bundle for a few years now, and to be honest, I'm pretty happy with the range of apps they've got. There are loads of useful ones that make the subscription fee totally worth it. That being said, I have to confess I've been let down a few times by the quality of some of the apps and how long it's taking for new ones to be added. It's a bit annoying because it feels like they're not listening to feedback, especially when it comes to things like apps not saving their place when you reopen them.
Team license purchase
I was a bit sceptical about SetApp at first, with all the Mac bundles around offering cheap prices for top-notch apps, but I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The team license turned out to be a great deal for the price, and I've been really pleased with it ever since. Recently, I had a problem with two apps related to GitHub, so I contacted their support for help. To my amazement, they sorted out the issue in less than 24 hours. Really impressive work.
Quality apps, lacking customer service
The services this company provides are really useful, but I'm really worried about the fact that there's basically no customer service. Customer service is a crucial part of gauging how dependable a company is, and it's a real shame that we're missing that here.
Recovering corrupt excel file
I recently had a bit of a nightmare trying to recover a messed-up excel file on my Mac. The service I got was a letdown - the staff didn't have a clue how to help me properly. Subscription model vs. lifetime licenses
I really like the different apps they have on offer, but I have a bit of an issue with their subscription model. While I do enjoy having access to lots of useful apps, I've noticed that quite a few of them give you the option to pay for a lifetime upgrade instead of a subscription. For me, I much prefer the idea of paying once for a lifetime license, as it seems like a better deal in the long term.
Awesome apps
Oh my gosh, these apps are absolutely amazing! I had no idea they even existed. The great thing for me is that there are loads of cool apps to pick from, and having a subscription is much simpler than buying each one individually. The only downside is that they only work on Mac and iOS, but that's fine because I use an Android phone.
Deceptive renewal process
I've used these apps before and thought they were pretty good for those who use them a lot. I decided to cancel my subscription, but was thinking of renewing during the Black Friday sales. However, when I went into my account and clicked on the renewal button, they charged me straight away without giving me any heads up or a confirmation page. I was really let down by this sneaky charging tactic, especially as other services I use always let me review the charges before I pay. They must have still had my payment details from last time, which is why the charge went through so quickly.
Stupid app full of unwanted stuff
Oh, I downloaded this app and now my laptop is clogged up with all these strange apps that I can't even get rid of. It's really frustrating! This app is just terrible, I can't believe it!
Subscription Service Feedback
Make sure you think about what you really need before you sign up, and check the prices of each app individually. In my case, I decided to cancel my subscription after the first month and only buy the apps I really wanted as one-off purchases.
App subscription disappointment
The app selection is really good, no doubt. They look so cool and tempting. But, to be honest, I haven't been using them much. I've got a different computer at work, so I just don't have the time to get used to these productivity apps like I did when I was freelancing from home. It's a shame because I can see they're useful, but my situation doesn't really allow for it.
At the moment, I've got a few favourites - Bartender, OneSwitch, Tripmode, TouchRetouch, Gemini and Hype. I've bought licenses for them already. I also have Forklift, but I prefer the old App Store version that I've set up. The other apps, like CleanMyMac, I've only tried once, or I've found different paid or free options for.
When I think about my subscription, I realise I'm paying a lot for apps I barely touch. It's hard to decide whether to keep going or not.Customer support experience
I had a bit of a problem with the customer service recently. I tried to get help a few times but didn't hear anything back and didn't get the help I needed. Not getting any response made me feel annoyed and like my custom wasn't important. I think it's really important for customer service to reply quickly and sort out any problems to make the customer happy, but that didn't happen this time. I like it when issues are dealt with swiftly and I'm sorry to say that wasn't the case with the customer service team this time.
Mobile device app pricing
Setapp has just brought in a new way of pricing for mobile devices. They're asking for an extra 50% to use iOS apps. I've been using Setapp for ages and I mainly use Ulysses on my Mac, iPhone, and iPad. But I don't think it's fair that they're raising the price for iOS apps, especially when there aren't many to choose from. It's worrying to see Setapp ask for more money for apps that used to be included on all devices without a charge.
Free trial subscription
I recently tried out a free trial for an app I wanted to use. Unfortunately, it didn't really work for me. When I tried to cancel the subscription, I had some trouble logging in. Luckily, the customer support team got back to me quickly and sorted it out. I was able to cancel the subscription without any hassle in the end.
Subscription
I can't believe how annoyed I am about this! I used to really like this place, but now they're trying to take extra money from us without giving us any warning. They used to allow us to use the apps on two computers, but now they're saying we can only use them on one! And now they're trying to make us pay extra for our phones. It's just not fair because it used to be included! Lots of people are cancelling their accounts because they're so angry. It's a real shame that they're spoiling something good.
Pdf app subscription
The PDF app on Mac is such a letdown, you know? I mean, I paid for a subscription to Setapp thinking all the apps would be top-quality, but this one falls short. You click on something and then suddenly you're stuck until you close and reopen the app. It's frustrating every time I try to do something new. It's definitely not worth my money, I'm expecting better from Setapp!
