    Claimed for event following family bereavement

    I recently had to make a claim after a close family member passed away, which was a really tough time for me. However, the whole process of making the claim turned out to be surprisingly easy and simple. I just had to explain what had happened and give them the documents they needed. I was really pleased with how fast and smoothly my claim was dealt with, as I received the money back in my account just a week after I made the claim. I would definitely suggest this insurance to anyone who might find themselves in a similar situation in the future.

    Worldwide travel insurance claim

    We had to cancel our holiday to the Maldives because of a surprise pregnancy and the potential risk of the Zika virus. Thankfully, we had travel insurance through our bank and were able to make a claim for the cancellation expenses. We submitted all the required paperwork, and after three months, we were reimbursed in full (excluding the excess). The process was overall really good, although it would have been better if the communication had been more regular and timely. Despite this small issue, we appreciate the help and the end result.

    Emergency travel assistance

    I tried to fill out the form that Ticketmaster provided, but it wasn't working properly. So, I decided to send an email to the company instead. They got back to me after a week with instructions on what to include in the email. After I sent over everything they asked for, I got a reply within a day and the money was in my account within 3 days. The help was quick, but it's best to email them directly rather than using the form on the website. It seems like it's not set up for Swedish citizens.

    Trust is the factor which we look up to for insurance, Allianz always got us covered. I, my wife Chelsy and two kids are often gone for holidays, like twice. and as a responsible and caring father and husband, I believe on Allianz to be best-serving insurance. they are transparent, worthy and cover most of things

Even though I gave them all the documents they needed, the company's communication was really frustrating and not at all helpful. It was like banging my head against a brick wall every time I tried to sort it out.

    Manufacturer fault on new car

    I had to call for help with my new car because of a fault. They came pretty quickly, but then it took ages for them to actually recovery my car because they sent the wrong type of vehicle. So I had to just leave my car and find a way home. The hire car they organised was also really late, so I was stuck waiting. When I got my car back, it had marks and scratches from the recovery, but they haven't done anything about it. I've tried to get in touch and send them all the info they need, but I've had no reply or solution.

    Ticketmaster ticket protection policy

    I'm gutted that I couldn't make it to the Abba Experience event because my mother passed away. I took out ticket protection when I bought the tickets from Ticketmaster and made a claim. I've chased it up several times but only got an email on 12th September saying I'd get my money back in 5 to 10 working days. It's now 2nd October and I still haven't had the cash in my account. I've just found out that my claim was done wrong. This service is really bad and I'm really let down.

    Missed Event Insurance

    I bought Missed Event Insurance for a music event but when the band cancelled their tour, I couldn't get a refund for my fees and flights which added up to £200.86. It turns out 'abandonment' wasn't covered under the policy. I was really annoyed and let down that such a common situation wasn't included. I wouldn't suggest this insurance to anyone because in the end, it was just a waste of money.

    Allianz is being a bit sneaky by advertising single trip travel insurance for young'uns under 18 who are flying solo on their website. I went ahead and got a quote and looked through the terms and conditions, which all seemed to back up this info. But when I gave them a ring to double-check, they told me that anyone under 18 has to have a companion who's over 18. Bit confusing, right? And to make matters worse, the website still lets you buy the insurance online. Just a heads up to watch out for this dodgy advertising from Allianz.

    Recently, I found myself in a bit of a pickle. I bought insurance for two event tickets, but my mate got sick, so we couldn't go. The event was only two days away, so I thought I'd try to flog the tickets on Ticketmaster at a lower price to make sure they sold. But when I tried to claim a refund from the insurance company, they said no. Turns out, they wouldn't pay up because I'd sold the tickets for less than what I paid. It was so annoying to hear that if I hadn't managed to sell them for the full price, they would have covered the whole lot plus the booking fee. It felt like a lose-lose situation that left me worse off financially.

    Flight cancellation insurance claim

    When we were coming back from Tanzania, our flights got cancelled, and the airline only offered us a 10 day delay as the solution. So, we gave them a ring to see if we could get home sooner, but they told us to book new flights and then make a claim afterwards. But when we landed and submitted our claim, it got turned down because they said it was an "airline" problem. It was really annoying because our insurance company couldn't help us out either, even though the airline didn't have any good options for us. Turns out, Allianz doesn't cover delays or missed flights, and they even said that if we had stayed the extra 10 days, it still wouldn't be covered. We were quite surprised to learn that most other policies include travel disruption cover or offer it as an extra choice, but the expensive package we got from them didn't have it. It was really disappointing to feel abandoned when we really needed help.

    I bought travel insurance for my trip to the US next year on a website. Sadly, while I was there, I had a medical emergency and had to fork out my own money for hospital bills. Even after trying many times to get my money back from the insurance company, I haven't got anything. The lack of communication and wrong information from them has made me feel like I've been ripped off and I'm out of pocket by thousands of pounds. I'm really let down by the service they've given me.

    Missed event insurance

    This insurance company says they cover missed events, but they don't actually do it. My partner and I had tickets for the same event at different places. Even though we had two sets of tickets for the same event on the same day, they wouldn't give us the money. It's obvious they don't give the coverage they say they do, and from what I've read in other reviews, it looks like they never do. Ticketmaster should think about not letting them on their site.
