Vinyl matt emulsion paint
I've been a decorator for over twenty years now, and recently I had a bit of a nightmare with this one brand of vinyl matt emulsion paint. I used it to cover this mocha wall in a customer's living room, going for a full coat first and then touch-ups when it dried. But the quality of the paint was just not up to scratch. Even after three coats, it was still way too see-through, leaving those annoying flashing marks. It's made me wonder if this paint is really worth its salt, you know? As someone who knows their stuff in this industry, I can honestly say that this product just doesn't meet the high standards I expect from a top-notch paint brand. So from now on, I'll think twice before recommending this brand to any of my clients. There are much better options out there, like Johnstone's paint.
Kitchen spray course at a training academy
I went to this kitchen spray course at a training academy in Slough with this bloke called Tony Young as the instructor. He was dead professional and really helpful, I gotta say. I learned loads during the session. Honestly, I'd recommend it to anyone keen on picking up a new skill. It was a proper good day out, with a Bacon Roll for brekkie and fish and chips for lunch. Tony even sorted out my sprayer for me, and spent some extra time helping me out. He's a top bloke, can't wait to go back there soon.
Dulux Once paint in two different colours
I recently bought some Dulux Once paint in two different colours for our spare room. I must say, the paint did a fantastic job with coverage, just like it said on the tin. Only needed one coat! I used a roller to put it on, and I was really happy that there was no splatter - left us with a nice, clean finish. I'm really impressed with the quality of Dulux paint and I'll definitely be buying from them again. Saying that, I hope the missus doesn't fancy changing the colour scheme any time soon!

I've just got in touch with the company about a complaint and I have to say, Caroline was absolutely brilliant in how she dealt with it. She was quick, sympathetic, and really went the extra mile to sort out my issues. Good customer service is hard to find these days, so I have to give major credit to Caroline and the team for their hard work and commitment. This whole experience has really made me trust the company and its products again.
Misleading paint finish
Don't bother buying this paint! I got some supposed silk finish paint, but it didn't give the finish I wanted at all. And to top it off, if we touch the walls, it leaves a mark behind. I'm really let down and not happy with this product. I want my money back.
Wallpaper purchase
I recently bought some wallpaper from a company, but I've had some issues with the delivery and customer service. I placed the order on 5th May and was hoping it would arrive pretty soon. However, by 16th May, it still hadn't turned up, even though the invoice said it should've been here by the 13th. This delay caused me a lot of bother as I'd planned my renovation around when it was supposed to arrive. I tried to get in touch with the customer service team several times, but only managed to speak to someone on my last attempt. It was really frustrating that they weren't communicating well or following up. In the end, I had to cancel my order because of how long it was taking.
Matte paint purchase
I've been a fan of this paint brand for ages, always relying on their products for top-notch quality and coverage. But, my recent try with their matte paint has left me feeling let down. Even after three coats on my kitchen walls, the paint still looks patchy and uneven. This just isn't up to the usual standard I expect from this brand.

This paint was an absolute nightmare to work with. It just kept coming off the roller and brush, so I couldn't get a nice smooth finish at all. I ended up having to sand down the walls and put on loads of coats. Such a waste of time and money, it was so frustrating!
Recent paint purchase
I was really looking forward to treating myself when I decided to buy some paint from this place. I ended up splurging on some coloured emulsion for my walls and a pot of gloss for the skirting boards. But let me tell you, it was such a disappointment. The emulsion needed three coats to cover properly, even though I was painting over light colours. And don't even get me started on the gloss. It looked yellow on the top, even after stirring, and was as thin as water. It's been 16 hours and it's still not dry - what a nightmare. Gloss used to be a one-coat-and-done job, now it looks like it's going to take forever to get the skirting boards finished. There's no way I'm buying from here again.
Fence paint purchase
This whole experience has been an absolute joke. I bought some fence paint from this company in the exact same colour I had used before, but the batch I got was a completely different shade. The customer service team has been absolutely useless, making all kinds of excuses to avoid owning up to their mistake. They're saying they can't see any difference in the photos I sent them, which is just ridiculous. The way this company refuses to take responsibility and lacks professionalism is absolutely shocking.
Paint purchase in blue colour
This paint is terrible! It barely covers anything and that plastic tub it comes in is a nightmare. The lid sticks shut, and when you finally get it open, the dried paint around the edge falls into the tub, ruining the whole thing.
Paint purchase
I bought some paint for my room the other day and it was a complete disaster. The undercoat was really thick and goopy, so I had to mix in some stuff to make it workable. The top coat was far too watery, no matter how hard I tried, it just wouldn't look good. The emulsion was practically like using watercolours! Come on Dulux, sort it out!
Matt easy care emulsion
I bought a 2.5 litre can of matt easy care emulsion, thinking it would be a good way to save both time and money in the long run. But, I was really disappointed with the paint. It's pretty terrible - it doesn't blend well when trying to touch up areas I've just painted, and it washes off way too easily.
Quick Dry Eggshell paint
This paint is absolutely terrible. I've been painting for so long and this stuff is just rubbish. It's really difficult to get a smooth finish, even with the best brushes. And the more you try to fix it, the worse it looks. Now I have to wait for days, remove my door, and sand it all down. What a waste of time! I'd advise against using this paint, it's really not good.
Testers not matching up to paint swatches
I went to a few paint shops, but there weren't any testers available to buy. And the testers that they did have didn't match up to the swatches. I'm thinking of trying out some other cheaper brands because the marketing for the current one is lacking.
Paint purchase disappointed
I was really looking forward to trying out the new 'Easy Care' paint, thinking it would be as great as their other products, but wow was I mistaken! It felt more like I was putting wallpaper paste on my walls rather than paint. It ended up taking me four coats just to get a decent coverage, which is totally different from their usual quick and easy application. I wonder what they changed in the formula to make it such a mess!
Quick dry satin wood top coat
That quick dry satin wood top coat from this brand was a total disaster! I carefully prepped my woodwork, applied the primer/undercoat which was fine, but then the top coat was a nightmare! Despite my experience in painting, there were brush marks everywhere. Their suggestion to try a different product or dilute the one I had was absurd! This product is completely useless and a waste of time. Now I have to redo all the painting, which is a major headache. I will definitely steer clear of this product in the future!
