Bought a washing machine
I bought a washing machine, but after I paid, I needed to contact them about something, but they never replied! There's no email address, just a phone number. I called so many times, but they never answered. It's like they're pretending to be a big company, but their customer service is terrible.
Integrated fridge purchase
I decided to treat myself and buy an integrated fridge after seeing great reviews online, and I have to say, I am really impressed. The fridge looks really nice, with plenty of shelves and options for arranging them. The light inside is bright and makes it easy to see everything, and best of all, it keeps my food fresh for longer. I've noticed a big difference in how long my groceries last and stay cold. Buying the integrated fridge was definitely a good decision, and I'm happy with every part of it.
Six kitchen appliances purchased
I've just bought six kitchen appliances for my new kitchen and got them delivered a few days before the fitting. Everything arrived on time, which was great. I managed to save £20 on each appliance compared to another store and also got some loyalty points and cashback. Surprisingly, even during lockdown, it all went smoothly without any hassle. I did read some reviews about people experiencing delays in receiving their loyalty points, so I'll keep an eye on that. But overall, my experience was pretty easy and straightforward, no problems at all.
Quick purchase, delayed delivery
The buying process was pretty straightforward, no issues there. But I wasn't too happy with the late delivery of my appliance. It was annoying to wait longer than expected, I get that it's not always in the company's hands, but it did dampen the whole experience. It's a shame when one little thing can ruin an otherwise good deal.
Dishwasher
I bought a dishwasher from Boots Appliances recently, but sadly, I had a big problem with it. I got the new dishwasher on the 6th of December and had it installed on the 7th, but when I switched it on for the first time, water started leaking from underneath. I quickly turned off the electricity and pulled the dishwasher out to see where the leak was coming from. It was obvious that the water was coming out from the black sealed unit under the machine, not from the hose or drain pipe at the back.
I got in touch with Boots Appliances customer service to let them know about the issue. They said an engineer would have to check it out. They mentioned that I could get a repair if it was a problem with the machine, but they didn't say anything about a refund depending on what the engineer found. This lack of clarity left me frustrated and unhappy with how everything was going. Taking time off work for the delivery and then for the engineer visit just made things more inconvenient and disappointing.
Overall, this has been the worst experience I've had dealing with a faulty item.Fridge Freezer
I ordered a Fridge Freezer and it said the doors could be switched, but it turned out the delivery drivers didn't have the right tool and couldn't do it. I spoke to customer service who promised a return in 3 to 5 days, but then they said the order wasn't cancelled. They won't give a refund unless they speak to my mum, even though I ordered it in my name for her. It's a terrible way to treat older people, now I have to fight to get the money back.
Washing machine purchase
I bought a new washing machine recently, but it didn't work properly. It broke down within a day of being installed, which was annoying and inconvenient for me. I asked for a replacement or refund, but they could only send an engineer to visit in 10 days. After a lot of back and forth through emails and calls, they finally replaced the faulty machine. The whole thing was stressful and took up a lot of my time, which I felt was unnecessary. I really thought I would have a better experience with this company as a customer.
Faulty fridge freezer
This company is just awful! I bought a fridge freezer and it arrived faulty. I was hoping they would sort it out, but it's been six months now and it's still not sorted. Their aftercare service is absolutely dreadful. I won't be using them again, that's for sure!
Faulty dishwasher replacement
I bought a dishwasher from Boots Appliances, which ended up having a problem after two years. Two engineers came to have a look at it, but they couldn't fix it. At first, Boots said they would give me a new dishwasher, but they changed their minds when I phoned to say yes to the offer. It was really disappointing and annoying to have them not keep their word.
Expensive oven purchase
I bought this expensive oven and it was terrible! I couldn't even set the temperature or use the grill or microwave. Customer service was no help at all, they just blamed the manufacturer. So I ended up taking the company to court to get my money back, what a nightmare!
Tall fridge purchase
The website has a decent selection of tall fridges and fridge freezers, but it's lacking in giving proper details about the products. There's only one picture for most items on the product page, and you can't zoom in for a closer look which can be quite annoying. Customers like to see things up close before buying them. On the other hand, websites like AO do a better job by providing multiple pictures that can be zoomed in for a closer view. It's a shame that Boots Kitchen Appliances, powered by ao.com, doesn't match up when it comes to showcasing their products.
Fridge freezer
I've just bought a fridge freezer from Boots Appliances for over £800. Sadly, when it arrived, it was in a bit of a state. The delivery guys had to unpack it just to fit it through my door, and in doing so, a door handle broke off. After looking closer, I noticed quite a bit of damage - a big scratch and some more broken bits. The fact that these problems weren't obvious from the outside packaging worries me and suggests their quality control isn't great.
Washing machine purchase
Hey, so I ended up getting this washing machine from this place that really caught me out. I thought I was purchasing from Boots, but turns out I had to deal with this other company called A.O. It was a bit of a disaster, they made me fork out extra cash to have it installed, messed up the fitting, and ended up causing a flood in my hallway! And when the machine leaked again, they just shrugged it off and said "Not our issue, speak to the manufacturer or Boots." Honestly, what a nightmare!
Slow delivery
The delivery service from this place is absolutely dreadful. The drivers are always missing their time slots and they blame it on being on the road for too long. But really, if they know they're going to be late, why not just give us a heads up from the start? It feels like they're only interested in taking your money and then leaving you waiting around forever.

Although I was a bit worried after seeing some bad reviews, I still went ahead and bought a washing machine from this company. I have to admit, I was really impressed by the fantastic customer service I received. The team let me know when to expect my delivery, and when they arrived, they were very quick and professional. They not only brought in the new washing machine but also took away the old one with no problems. The washing machine is working perfectly, and I am extremely happy with how everything went. If I had listened to those negative reviews and not gone through with the purchase, I would have missed out on such a positive experience. I'm so glad I didn't let them put me off and decided to take the risk.
New washing machine
I ordered a new washing machine online and it was an absolute disaster. I was expecting it to be delivered but it never arrived! I even took a whole day off work for this and I couldn't get in touch with anyone to find out what had happened. After being on hold for over 20 minutes, which felt like forever, the person who finally answered was of no use at all! I discovered that the delivery lorry had over 20 appliances to deliver across south Wales in one day, so it's no surprise that my washing machine got left behind. Honestly, it was a nightmare. Next time, I'll just spend a bit more and buy from a local shop instead.
Long-awaited cooker
I got a call today saying that the cooker I was looking forward to getting has somehow vanished from stock, even though it was in stock when I bought it. Now I have to wait until 16th January 2024 to see when it might come back in stock. They say I won't get any compensation for this inconvenience until my "journey" with them is finished. But my journey started when they took my money and now it seems to have stopped abruptly. I would advise avoiding this unreliable company.
CDA ECH63SS chimney cooker extractor
I bought this new cooker extractor from Boots and it's absolutely rubbish. The hose is really weak and keeps bending easily. The chimney part doesn't even fit properly as there's no lip to hold it in place. It's so loud, even on the quiet setting - it's like a plane taking off in your kitchen. I really wish I had kept the packaging so I could send it back. My advice is to not waste your money on this!
Dishwasher purchase
I bought a dishwasher from Boots Appliances not long ago, and it was a right disaster. The delivery was late, and when it turned up, it wasn't installed properly. Plus, the door handle was all banged up. The second appointment to sort it out was a no-go. The customer service in this shop has been really disappointing. Even though they were the cheapest for the fridge freezer I wanted, there were some parts missing. I've spent over two months trying to sort this out, making loads of calls to their customer service line and being promised that they'd send the missing parts to me. But I still haven't got anything. Dealing with this company has been so frustrating and taken up a lot of my time.
