    Faffy service, decent jumper

    In short, I'm glad the jumper turned out to be decent, even though the whole experience was a bit of a faff. They said 3–5 days after I ordered on 29 March, I chased twice by email and phoned but kept getting stuck on hold, so I kind of gave up. It finally arrived and it's comfy — been wearing it for dog walks and WFH, and yes, it washes well. I won't say I'll rush back to buy more from Chums because their communication was poor, but I'm happy with the product itself, so thanks for that; just sort the customer service, please.

    Parcel turned up quicker than I expected, which was great — tracksuit bottoms for my son who has Down's syndrome; he needs a 27in inside leg. They were neatly packed and I was pleased they sell that size, because we use them every day for pottering about the house and trips out. Problem is the invoice and label said 27in but they’re at least five inches too long; even with the waist pulled up they swamp him. He was disappointed, we’ve been rolling the hems and they’re usable. Customer service were friendly and tried to sort it, but labels need checking.

    Sizing oddity — nice trousers otherwise

    Funny thing — they looked great online and the leg length was spot on, so I was quite pleased. I bought two pairs because I’m always unsure of my size (normally an 18) and wanted to be safe. The size 18 fit the waist but felt really tight, no give at all, so not comfy. Oddly the size 20 was tighter around the waist and wouldn’t even pull over my hips — the elastic must be super firm or mislabelled. Shame, because the fabric is lovely and the cut flatters. I’m sending both back for a refund and hope they add more stretch.

    In the end I was relieved they processed a refund, but the whole experience was pretty stressful. I ordered a pair of moleskin trousers a couple of days before a wedding and expected them today; the site looked fine so I didn’t think twice. When nothing arrived I rang and was told a new system was being installed and they'd send another pair in five days — useless for my plans. The adviser sounded unsure and kept blaming the system; I didn't buy it, so I insisted on a refund. They agreed and said the money should appear on my card in five days. I'm glad that’s happening, but honestly, if you need something quickly this isn’t the place. I’ll be shopping elsewhere next time.

    That little ah-ha moment

    I remember the exact second I knew they were worth it — I pulled them on first thing, while rushing to get the dog out, and they just... worked. Proper pull-up trousers, comfy, no faff, and they didn’t shout medical stuff which I liked. Ordering was a bit messy though — I thought I’d bag a multibuy deal from a magazine code but it wouldn’t combine, which was annoying. Customer service explained it politely and offered an alternative, so that helped. Fit’s good for everyday wear, though the colour’s not a perfect match and one seam’s a bit tight. Not flawless, but useful and honestly I reach for them most mornings now.

    Pacing the hallway for trainers

    good padding, sensible arch support and not that stiff break-in you sometimes get — actually helped my lower back on a long shift. Fit was true to size, materials feel solid, not premium but perfectly usable. So it's a mixed bag: poor communication and delivery chaos, but the product itself does what I needed. I’d buy again only if I was sure the delivery and replies were sorted — you don’t want stress when you’ve already got a dodgy back.

    the blouse fabric was really soft, I still like that — it’s a shame the finishing let it down. I also can’t edit my original, more positive review on their site, which is annoying. All told, I won’t be rushing back until they fix quality and actually respond.

    Bit of a faff, but it worked out

    the payment page threw an error, I re-entered everything and ended up with two confirmations for the same pair. Cue a string of emails from me asking them to cancel the duplicate. I sent maybe ten messages over a couple of days and got nothing but marketing emails back, which was irritating. I even tried phoning but the line took ages and I wasn’t keen on building up 13p a minute on hold.
    Past orders from other shops have sometimes been worse, so I waited, thinking maybe they’d sort it. The point I knew I was actually satisfied was when a polite reply finally arrived saying they’d arranged collection and a refund — not instant, not brilliant, but fair. It wasn’t perfect: they did initially post both pairs and I had to hand one back, and there was a delay before the refund showed. But the shoes themselves are decent and the return collection ended up being straightforward once someone finally answered. So mixed feelings — annoyed by the silence and the extra postage hassle, but pleased with the product and the eventual outcome.

    Attempted removal of vulnerable father from mailing list

    I got in touch with customer service not long ago to sort out getting my elderly father, who's struggling with dementia, off their mailing list. It was a bit of a tough one, as they wouldn't budge on the fact that he had to do it himself, even though that's not really possible given his condition. They even said they'd still take orders from him and asked for proof that I have power of attorney before they'd do anything more. It was pretty disheartening and irritating how little they seemed to get where we were coming from.

    Two pairs of trousers

    I bought two pairs of trousers from this company recently, and I have to admit I was pretty let down by the quality. Just after wearing them once, I saw that the stitching around the pocket and waistband was already starting to come loose. It's not the kind of thing you'd expect from a well-known company, and it makes me think that maybe their products just aren't what they used to be. I'll definitely have to think long and hard before buying from them again in the future.

    I bought some socks from this company, thinking I could get free shipping by buying a few things. But, these socks let me down big time - they got holes in them after just one wear. I got in touch with customer service, and they said I'd need to pay to send the socks back if I wanted a refund or a new pair. I thought this was way out of line, so I emailed the CEO, but no luck there - haven't heard back yet. This whole mess has left me really annoyed and unhappy, and I don't plan on buying anything from them again.

    Hermes Tracking is a complete joke! They keep telling me my parcel is in town for delivery, but it never shows up. Every time I check the tracking, it's just more lies. I can't even speak to a real person from the courier company to get this sorted. It's so annoying! Amazon isn't any better either, they're just as awful. I feel like I've been ripped off. I just want my parcel, but all I get are empty promises and excuses. Chums Outlet, get it together and stop using these unreliable companies.

    Clothing purchase for refund

    I bought some clothes the other day but they turned out to be a bit disappointing. The quality didn't match up to what was promised on the website.     Front opening bra

    Oh my gosh, I've finally found the ideal front-opening bra that fits like a dream and is incredibly comfortable! I really wish I had bought it earlier instead of trying out different brands that just weren't up to scratch. Honestly, I followed all the size guides but they still didn't fit properly. And let's not even talk about the stress of returning them to other companies.     Men's slip-on trainers

    I was flicking through my weekend paper and spotted an advert for men's slip-on trainers at a bargain price of £19 with free delivery. I thought why not and placed an order on Sunday. They arrived promptly on Wednesday. They might not be top-notch like my usual Pavers, but they are well crafted and comfy. Great for lounging around the house as slippers. All in all, really happy with my buy.

    I get it, it can be a real pain not being able to just drop off a product for a return. Have you thought about trying out the collection service from Evri? They might be able to pick up the item from your home for free. It could be a handy way to solve your return problem.

    Men's incontinence pants

    I recently bought two pairs of men's incontinence pants from the shop, in the hopes of sorting out my issues with urinary incontinence. But when I got them, I realised that the extra absorbent panel was better tailored for female bodies than male bodies. It was too short at the front, which didn't really help with male urinary incontinence. It was a bit of a letdown to see that the design didn't take into account this important aspect of human biology.

    Password issue resolution

    I had a bit of trouble with my online account password recently. I tried to change it like they said, but then I couldn't get back in. It ended up locking me out of my account, which was really annoying. After a couple more attempts, I eventually got back in. While I was dealing with all that, I got a really unpleasant email from customer service, which was a letdown. Next time, I might reconsider placing any more orders, especially if I have to use a promo code.
