    So after placing my first order with onbuy, I decided to take a look at the reviews just out of curiosity. After seeing so many terrible reviews I thought I’d really messed up by spending my money on this site. To my surprise; within 3 days my order arrived; perfect condition, exactly what I ordered, so with such a great experience I decided to place 2 more orders with this company, both arrived super quickly considering the pandemonium that the pandemic has caused with delivery services. I’m truly baffled at why there are so many bad reviews? I will definitely be using this website again, definately a competitor for amazon!

    Ive brought dog chews & had no problem but then I have brought a dash cam which I couldn't get fitted until after the 30 day period due to covid. Its faulty but luckily I paid via paypal so I'm trying to get my money back that way but its a lengthy process. Personally I won't be buying an goods of this nature again from here, only a shop, its a lot easier.

    Ordering was easy and price a bargain BUT item never turned up....seller wont respond to my messages....still not got a refund and getting nowhere...avoid at all costs I didnt know this was a website like other cheap ones that had numerous sellers I just assumed it was a normal British website but clearly not and is similar to Amazon with different sellers.

    And NO I didnt click "would buy here again" there was no option to say no....bit dodgy there isnt it.

    I must say I ordered off of here then looked at the reviews... stupid I know! However.... I am pleasantly surprised. After reading the reviews I nearly cancelled my order but now I'm glad I didn't. The item is exactly as it looked on the pictures and I'm impressed. Also delivered the same week as I purchased.

    Battery arrived - flat and dead. Fitted the thing, but simply won't charge. Worse part is that there doesn't seem to be any way to contact the seller.

    I broke my rule of ONLY buying from people who can be contacted.

    I've had a poor experience with this seller and would not recommend. The ordering was fine and delivery was reasonable. However, the product arrived with a Chinese plug, not a UK one. I am unable to charge the speaker. I was promised a UK adaptor from the seller which never arrived and now not responding to emails. I complained to Onbuy and was just directed to PayPal. Having opened a dispute with them, I have still not had a satisfactory outcome so still unable to charge the speaker!!(2 months on). Do not use this company for electrical goods. I will never use again.

    Agree, I bought something from them and it never came. I gave them plenty of waiting time as my item was supposed to arrive just after Christmas, but until now no item, no communication etc.. Will not buy from then again

    I ordered a sofa bed from OnBuy which I thought was a good buy, however when I opened the account to pay for it, they used my address as the delivery address however when I paid using PayPal I put in a different delivery address, but this address wasn't used so what's the point in using PayPal and having the ability to put in a different address if OnBuy don't take note of it. I refused the delivery when it came as it was the wrong address saying it needs to go to the address I asked for. Now OnBuy have refused to allow another delivery to the alternative address and are going to refund what I paid minus £30 charge for delivery.
    I received an email the day before telling me it was going to the wrong address but there is no contact number or helpline to call to amend this and the online login is a waste of time. So I would not recommend OnBuy to anyone as they were not helpful at all and refused point blank to redeliver my item as it wasn't their policy

    I have been asked to give a review by On Buy/ Checo but I decided to discuss the faults that we found purchase with the seller (CHECO)first. This was suggested to do by OnBuy. To my surprise 3 weeks later and nothing!
    I think it's only fair we mention a few things that have been very disappointing.

    Your delivery driver checked the mirror wasn't damaged and all was well. I'm aware you cannot check everything that is dispatched.

    But equally impossible from our standpoint to check everything until the product has been completed.

    We can understand if there are a few imperfections, however this was not the case, ESPECIALLY regarding the quality and end finish, then we definitely know this is a very disappointing purchase.

    I attached photos of all the points that showed poor quality and finish.

    Door doesn't close the one side ( even after trying to adjust the door many times)

    Seams that are shown....in obviously places, top, side and in many places the glue hasn't adhered properly and is coming away. ( Looks unfinished/unchecked before leaving the factory)

    There are also chips in the wood, some more obvious than others. (Not made by us)

    And the clothes rail is of such poor strength as it already is drooping ( bowing in the middle).

    The wardrobe took two men 5 hours to put together, that's quite an investment of time.
    We chose this wardrobe and the company carefully, looking at reviews for the product and company.
    Sad to say after sales customer service is a big fat Zero!

    DO NOT BUY AN IPHONE FROM ONBUY

    My Iphone has stopped working in the warranty period. The seller Digi-E via OnBuy has gone out of business. OnBuy do not answer emails and do not have a telephone number.
    It turns out my Apple iphone is an American model, so cannot be repaired by Apple in the UK. Apple USA can’t repair it because the iphone is in the UK. That’s ok until your iphone just dies overnight (a known problem with the Iphone XR), then you’re well and truly screwed.
    Apple USA sold this phone to AT&T, who then sold it on to Digi-E, who I bought my Iphone from via OnBuy. So, basically I have no phone and I’m £589 worse off 10 months later.
    OnBuy might be a wanna be Amazon, but they are in no way remotely that professional. OnBuy have no phone number, do not respond to emails and generally have a ‘do not care attitude’ over Facebook messages, the only way I could get any form of communication.
    11 days have gone by and I’m told to wait for Digi-E to contact me because ‘they must be busy with lockdown orders!’ Their emails bounce and their website is down, so I can’t even get hold of them.
    PLEASE BEWARE BEFORE BUYING FROM ONBUY OR DIGI-E

    I ordered a digital timer for use int kitchen on 26 January 2021. The process was easy. I received an immediate confirmation from the supplier. This was followed the next day to advise the parcel was ready for despatch and was delivered on the 29 January. It arrived in good condition. I have used Onbuy.com before and found them efficient and the suppliers I have used efficient.

    Always pay by paypal, at least if you have a problem you can claim back via them. Ive got an issue with a dash cam (£179.99) & seller is ignoring me so Ive had to raise it via paypal which is a lengthy process. Shop next time for me for anything of this nature but dog chews etc had no problem

    Does not sound any worse then Amazon after the 30days period and no different to Amazon where if you buy, knowldgely or not, from 'Market place' where amazon point out they're not actually the seller, and that is who you have to deal with. As usual caveat emptor, Did you check out 'Digi-E' before purchase?
    If you paid via a credit card you may have recourse from there.
    As has been suggested elsewhere it would be a good Idea to check with citizens advice / trading standards, also worth getting in touch with Apple on the basis they're a 'Global' company and should honour their products without boundaries, although manufactures frequently palm of responsibilities for their products via sub companies/franchises/resellers etc (a global poor practice) but the choice of where to buy from is of course within your choice :-(

    Onbuy may not be legally responsible under the sale of goods act, but they do have a moral responsibility (and business imperative) to vet the traders they allow to use their marketplace. I have a pair of scrap Apple ipods that were sold fraudulently as new - the seller has gone out of business and OnBuy don't want to know. I don't trust the traders on their marketplace, and will never use them again. Be very wary!!!

    OnBuy Seller Tool

    From a seller's perspective we purchased onbuy subscription to sell on it. We have found the system easy to sign up to and listing style is the same as Amazon. There are many integrations available and customer service for me has been great (same day response). I have used their shopify and RM click and drop integrations without any issues. Didn't expect sales so early on but have had a few since signing up a week ago. I have also been able to price my items lower than other platforms we use as onbuy fees are a lot less. Thank you onbuy for providing a real alternative to Amazon and eBay. Being a UK company hope you manage to penetrate international markets.

However after over a week of waiting past the estimated delivery date, and an attempt to contact the seller, I came to the conclusion that I have been scammed. I have contacted Onbuy to request a cancellation and refund but they can't even be bothered to reply to my request. Avoid this company at all costs!
