Movie magazines
I recently bought some movie magazines from The Retro Store and I have to say, the whole experience was quite interesting. The magazines turned up a bit randomly, a bit like those big double-decker buses, but they were really well wrapped. Each magazine was separately wrapped up with card inside, which really made them feel special. Even though I'm not a big collector, I found the magazines really fascinating. The store's website might seem all old-fashioned and traditional, but the content in the magazines, especially all the stuff about the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), was really up to date. The little stories in the magazines felt really current and had some really cool bits of info. Sure, the content did jump around a bit, but don't movies nowadays do the same thing? To sum up, I would totally recommend these magazines to anyone who's into movies and pop culture.
Recent vinyl record purchase
I recently bought some records from The Retro Store and I was really pleased with the selection they sent me. Even though I hadn't heard of the three artists before, I really enjoyed all the records they included. The first one, 'Middle England' by Mellah, felt like a cool mix of babybird, the Divine Comedy, and Pete Doherty, which made for a unique musical experience. The second record, 'Princess of US' by Princess of US, had a nice blend of Cali soul-pop with a touch of Haim and the Jets, and a bit of Mark Ronson's style. And the third record, 'Minus Tide' by Lemonade, had vibes that reminded me of Yeasayer hanging out with a guy named Adam in a warehouse full of electronic and experimental sounds. Overall, I was really impressed with the quality and variety of the records they sent me.
Vinyl records mystery box subscription
I recently decided to give the mystery box vinyl records subscription at The Retro Store a go, and I have to say, I'm really happy with it. At first, I wasn't sure what to expect as my taste in music is quite particular, but that's part of the fun of a mystery box, isn't it? I definitely feel like the price I paid for the subscription was good value, and opening the box was a fun experience. The packaging was really well done, and all the records were either brand new or in fantastic condition. I was pleasantly surprised when my first subscription arrived just a few days after ordering. I've been really impressed by The Retro Store! Their collection of vinyl records is top-notch with a great variety. I've bought 5 boxes already and each one had a cool mix of music I didn't even know I'd like. Most of the records are in great condition, just a few needed a bit of cleaning up, but now they sound amazing. I'm a regular customer at The Retro Store, and I'm really not happy with their service this time. I ordered a vintage vinyl record a few weeks back, but still haven't got it. The tracking number they gave me is no good - it only updates when they supposedly try to deliver it. It's so annoying not knowing what's going on, and the lack of communication is just really disappointing. I've had so many issues with this company now, I'd tell everyone to steer clear of them.
Funky t-shirt with retro design
I had such a bad experience! I tried to cancel my pre-order before it even got sent out, but they said no and didn't reply to my emails. The customer service was awful - they avoided my questions and then said they couldn't help once the order was on its way. What a complete waste of time! All of their fancy emails and sweet words can't hide the fact that they treat their customers terribly.

Just to set the record straight, this is a small business, so please bear with us if we don't reply immediately. We're not some big corporation, so a bit of patience goes a long way. But I have to say, the team here is really putting in the effort to get things spot on. If you just give them a nudge when necessary, they'll take care of any problems and make sure you receive your order. They even corrected a mistake I made in my order and sent out my vinyl without a subscription as I had requested. And they did it all with a smile on their faces.

I just bought a vinyl gift box for my husband from this shop. He's a music industry pro with a really good taste in music, having over 4000 vinyl records. And let me tell you, the selection in this box was fantastic. He was so excited to start playing them! The packaging was great, and everything got here in perfect condition. My amazing vintage toy haul!
Oh my gosh, I just can't even express how amazing The Retro Store is! I recently got this super cool toy from there, and it honestly felt like I was going back in time. The store is stocked with so many incredible retro items that you just can't come across anywhere else. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they even let me test out a few toys before making a purchase.
Vinyl Record Purchase
I was really let down by my experience at The Retro Store. I had pre-ordered a vinyl record that was meant to come out on a specific day. But while Amazon and HMV had already sent out the record to their customers on the release day, The Retro Store didn't even have it available. They kept telling me not to worry and that the record would reach me soon, but it turns out they hadn't even got it from the music label. It was all a bit of a waste of time, and I just ended up getting a refund in the end.
Vinyl record subscription
I'm really upset about my recent experience at The Retro Store. I signed up for a vinyl record subscription and somehow ended up with two orders instead of one. Not only that, but one of the albums was a duplicate and the other one was Gary Barlow's Dream of Christmas - really not my usual genres of Heavy Metal, Rock, and Modern Pop. How on earth did they think a 2021 Christmas album by Gary Barlow would fit in with modern pop music? It seemed like they were just trying to get rid of unwanted stock. My subscription number was #116123 and I really hope they take my feedback on board.

I bought a subscription as a birthday present for my partner from this store. The problem is we haven't received anything even after paying for four orders. Trying to contact customer service has been useless as they only give excuses and no solutions. When I asked for a refund, they didn't reply at all. It's so frustrating and I think it's better for people to not shop at this store. If it's not a scam, then it seems like they don't know what they're doing.

It's been two whole months since I ordered it and I still haven't got any info on where it is or what's going on. My visit to The Retro Store was really disappointing. I bought a bunch of vinyl records recently, and when they arrived, I discovered that one of the double albums was missing a whole vinyl and the other one was so scratched that it wouldn't play at all. To make matters worse, another record had a deep scratch all the way down it. It was obvious that no one had checked them properly before sending them out. However, I have to say that the customer service team responded quickly and offered to send extra records with next month's delivery to make up for it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it was just a one-off mistake and that the replacements will be in better shape.
