Playhouse purchase
I ordered a playhouse for my daughters seven weeks ago, and it still hasn't turned up. I've been on the phone countless times chasing it up, but the delivery planned for tomorrow has been called off without any reason or apology. We splashed out nearly £1,000 on it, and the customer service has been terrible. We were so annoyed that we've decided to scrap the order, but found out that other companies selling similar products are just as bad as Garden Buildings Direct, only with different names. What a waste of time and money!
Log Cabin purchase
I bought a log cabin not long ago, and I've got to say I'm really disappointed with it. It's built more like a cheap shed than a proper cabin, and it took ages to be delivered - I had to keep chasing for updates. And now, just a few months after it was installed, there are big gaps all over the place, letting rainwater leak in. Even though I went for the premium wood option, the company's response was really dismissive, saying it's just "natural movement." I wish I hadn't spent £3000 on it now, because it's basically unusable. I'd recommend steering clear of this company to anyone thinking of buying from them.
Garden building
The delivery of my garden building took about 4 weeks, which was spot on because it gave me time to get the base ready. Putting the building together was quite simple, but I did notice that the windows and sills weren't the best quality. They work fine though, and I could always upgrade them easily if necessary.
Summerhouse purchase
The staff were really friendly, helpful, and efficient when I placed my order. They made everything easy and answered all my questions quickly. But, I'm still waiting for the summerhouse to arrive so I can't say anything about its quality at the moment.
Billy-oh Switch Overlap Apex Shed 8x10
Yesterday, we got our Billy-oh Switch Overlap Apex Shed 8x10 delivery but it was incomplete, missing important items. We reached out to customer service for help, but they were not very helpful and mainly talked about terms and conditions instead of solving the problem. We wanted the missing items by Friday, but it seemed like they didn't really try to meet our request. We are not happy with the service we received and the unhelpful way they handled our call.
corner summer house
I bought a corner summer house from Garden Building Direct and was so disappointed with the quality. The thin plastic windows were so cheap and nasty that they moved about in the wind. I had to pay over £200 to get them replaced with glass. The actual structure was of poor quality, with gaps between the wooden slats. Once up the summerhouse leaked like a sieve from every wall, even with sealant, and I ended up having to clad the whole lot to keep the rain out at a further cost of over £200. I got in touch with the company and they said that I should have built it more than 2ft from the fence, yet it was leaking from all sides some that were not near a fence. Then they suggested that it wasn't on the right base - I bought the eco base from them! I was disappointed that they took no responsibility, even after asking them to send someone round - which they didn't. I would have been better off using my old garden shed, that's been up for 20 years and never leaked!
Reallly good
I have too many tools for gardening and some time its hard to put everything together. Thanks to this, the shred helped me in arranging everything nicley. it comes iwth perfect size and wight. along with that the building are strong and can handle lots of things
